Kyuhyun groans slowly as he opens his eyes. They feel heavy so it’s hard to open them wider.

“I don’t even know your name”

He doesn’t know where he is but he hears someone’s voice wondering about his name and the answer unconsciously escapes his lips

“K-Kyuhyun…”

He sighs as he tries to open his eyes. At first he doesn’t recognize his surroundings. His eyes wander over to his side, an IV tube inserted into his right arm tells him that he’s at the hospital. He still feels dizzy and nauseous, so he slowly turns his head to the left and then his eyes met with a man leaning over him. Kyuhyun’s sight lays on what he thinks are the most beautiful dimples he has ever seen. 

Siwon can see how Kyuhyun is studying his face as if trying to remember what happened to him. 

“How are you feeling?” Siwon’s voice managed to get Kyuhyun back to reality

“I-I’m good. T-Thank you” Kyuhyun cursed himself mentally for stuttering. He knows he had seen this face before but his mind is blurry and he doesn’t remember clearly what happened. Not until a few more seconds that everything that happened came back in one quick memory.

“Well nice to meet you Kyuhyun-ssi. I’m Siwon”

“You’re drenched!”

With the rush of getting help for Kyuhyun and trying to overcome his hate for hospitals, Siwon completely forgot that he’s still wet from when he jumped into the river. He nervously scratches the back of his head. He opens his mouth to reply but is stopped by Kyuhyun.

“I’m sorry. That’s not what I was supposed to say. I know you’re wet .. I mean soaked because of me. What I want to say is thank you. Thanks for saving me Siwon-ssi”

“Oh, don’t worry about it. I’m just glad you’re safe”

That was it. That’s how their introduction went. Afterwards, both their eyes just locked on each other. It’s like words can’t tell what they’re feeling at the moment. Their looks are too intense that their faces couldn’t help but flush heavily.

“Excuse me. I hope I’m not interrupting something” Kyuhyun’s doctor came in and broke the awkward stare before they both drown in each other’s eyes. Siwon smiles and turns to face the intruder.

“Not at all”

“Well Mr… Sorry, your name doesn’t show on the application”

“It’s Kyuhyun. Cho Kyuhyun”

“Mr.Cho, are you feeling better now?”

“I’m still a bit dizzy but that’s normal for someone who nearly drowned”

“Yes true. But thanks to Siwon-ssi here, you didn’t drown. You’re very lucky because not a lot of people would jump after a drowning man, especially not when it comes to the Han River”

That’s right. Kyuhyun himself is wondering why this Siwon guy saved him. Kyuhyun was sure he was going to die once he slipped from the bridge. He knows he should feel lucky for being alive, but he can’t help thinking who’s in his right mind would risk his life to save a stranger.

Siwon’s POV
I myself don’t know how I saved you. But looking at you back there, you were hurt and crying and I couldn’t not do anything about it. Cho Kyuhyun … Your chocolate brown eyes are very much seductive. Only your stare manages to give me butterflies all over my stomach. Seriously, what are you doing to me?

It's really becoming easy for those two to stare deeply at each other. Kyuhyun didn’t realize how he spaced out and is now staring at Siwon, until the doctor clears his throat to get his attention back.

“I-I’m sorry. Yes, you’re right, I am lucky. By the way, when can I leave the hospital?"

“Well your BP is normal. But it would be better if you stay overnight just to keep you under check. Well I should go, take some rest”

Once the doctor left the room, Siwon turns around to head out too. But as he is about to, he’s stopped by a firm grip on his sleeve.

“W-where are you going?” Kyuhyun doesn’t know why he just did that. He doesn’t know this guy and neither does Siwon knows him. So it would be normal if he doesn’t stick around and take care of him.

Kyuhyun curses himself soundly as he realizes how stupid of him to ask Siwon that. His gaze is looking at anything but the man next to him and his cheeks are already red from the embarrassment.

“I just remembered that I have some spare clothes in my car. I-I was going to go get them”

“Oh, no I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. You can go if you want. I’m sorry. I gave you too much trouble already. You must be busy”

Oddly, Siwon feels hurt because of Kyuhyun’s words. He doesn’t know why, but the fact that Kyuhyun wants him to leave, makes his heart ache a bit. Siwon only wanted to get some clothes. He’s not planning on leaving Kyuhyun alone.

“D-do you want me to leave?”

Kyuhyun lifts his head to glance at Siwon. He notices how the latter’s eyebrows are frowning in confusion.

“Aniyo. It’s not like that. It’s just that … you … saved me and I already gave you too much trouble. I’m sorry. It’s just that y-you …”

'Why the hell am I stuttering again? Aich, I must look stupid right now'

Siwon couldn’t help but beam at Kyuhyun’s words

“I don’t mind staying”

“…”

 “So can I go get my clothes?”

“Yes”

“Then I’ll be right back”

Siwon is feeling somehow happy at the way Kyuhyun is blushing right now. His hands are itching because of his urge to pinch the younger’s cheeks, but he fights it and settles with a ruffle to Kyuhyun’s hair. He then smiles and turns to exit the room, leaving behind him a crimson Kyuhyun.

‘Oh, those dimples again… And did he just ruffle my hair? Siwon, what are you doing to me?’

The walk from Kyuhyun’s room to the parking lot was strangely easier than earlier. It may be because Siwon is getting used to being in a hospital, or the fact that he’s thinking about something else. Something that’s, successfully, managed to keep him from remembering the past.

Siwon opens the car’s trunk and takes out his gym bag, which gets him thinking about his shoulder. It’s weird that it doesn’t hurt even after the effort he made in saving Kyuhyun. To add to that, just three days ago, he couldn’t even finish a swimming round, and now he saved someone. How did he save him? It’s starting to make Siwon confused but he chooses not to care about that right now, because no matter what it is, there is a reason why he managed to save that man and so the rest doesn’t really matter.

Room 1013

Because of the blackout and being hospitalized, Kyuhyun didn’t have the time to think it all. Now that he’s left alone in the room, his mind starts to rewind what really happened.

After processing the whole incident, a wave of dark aura shot outwards. All those questions that he was thinking about before he slipped into the river, came running back to his mind. His girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend and now he has nowhere to go. He has no one to go to.

Tears threatening to fall down, he sits on bed while his eyes wander around looking for his clothes. Unfortunately, they were no where to be found and even if he did find them he knows that they’ll be wet. So right now, this hospital’s robe is all he’s got.

Kyuhyun is so immersed in sad thoughts, that he doesn’t hear Siwon’s footsteps in the room.

“What are you doing?”

“I wanna go home but I have nothing to wear” Kyuhyun’s eyes are focused on the floor. He doesn’t want Siwon to see the tears welling in his eyes nor does he want the latter to feel pity for him either.

“But the doctor said you should stay overnight”

“I don’t want to. I’m fine”

Kyuhyun’s voice came out husky because his throat is starting to hurt from controlling his tears, and it doesn’t go unnoticed by Siwon. The older slowly walks towards the bed and carefully sits down before putting one hand over Kyuhyun’s shoulder.

“Hey, what’s wrong? Are you crying?”

“YES. BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR”

Kyuhyun’s eyes shot with guilt after snapping at the man who saved his life. Which make more tears start to well in his eyes and so it’s becoming harder to suppress them

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap at you”

Kyuhyun turns to face Siwon to apologize for his rude behaviour. His eyes are blurry, as a solitary tear streaks down his fair skin. The single tear is followed by others, and there was soon a stream flowing freely from both eyes. However, all that Siwon can see right now is the way Kyuhyun’s orbs are shining with a twinkle. Without thinking, his hands move to wipe the tears away, as his thumbs caress the soft skin of Kyuhyun’s cheeks

“Ssh it’s okay. I have extra clothing I can give it to you” But Siwon knows better. As he stares at the lost look in Kyuhyun’s eyes, he knows that this is not about clothes.

“But this is not about clothes, am I right?”

Kyuhyun pouts at his failed attempt to hide the real reason behind his tears. He tries to lower his face to hide his blush, but Siwon’s hands are too strong to let him do that.

“You won’t understand”

“Try me”

As Siwon starts to notice how uncomfortable the position they’re in, he removes his hands from Kyuhyun’s face but not without an assuring smile to make the younger feel at ease.

“I don’t have a place to go. I mean I have … my house but I can’t go back there”

Siwon’s eyebrows frown in concentration as if trying to absorb what Kyuhyun just told him

“Told you, you wouldn't understand” Said Kyuhyun as he turns his face to face the wall.

Wanting to get Kyuhyun’s attention back, Siwon puts one hand on the latter’s thigh. But that made Kyuhyun’s body tense at the sudden contact. Feeling how the skin trembles underneath his touch, Siwon’s face flushes while his heart pounds in his chest. He quickly retreats his hand and places it on his head nervously scratching his nape.

“First, let’s see if my clothes will fit you” Siwon said trying to break the awkwardness. He reaches for his bag and pulls out a black legging, a grey t-shirt and a pair of sneakers that he thinks it will fit Kyuhyun.

“Here you go. Try these”

Blushing, Kyuhyun takes the clothes and mutters a small thank you before heading to the bathroom to change.

Siwon’s POV
What the hell was that? I’m an idiot, I scared him off. I didn’t mean anything by it but I made him nervous. I have to get a hold of myself. I don’t even know what’s happening to me. I feel attracted to this man that I just met. But how could that be? Why does my heart ache when I see him crying?

Siwon pushes his weird thoughts and starts changing his clothes as well while trying to figure out what Kyuhyun meant by he can’t go to his house. Maybe it has something to do with why he was crying earlier on the bridge.  

Siwon wore a blue sweat pants and a white t-shirt. He suddenly hears the bathroom’s door opens, so he turns in its direction anticipating Kyuhyun to come out.

Even though those are his clothes, Siwon is dazzled. His eyes are scanning Kyuhyun’s body inch by inch.

Well, there isn’t too much height difference between the two, but still Siwon is a bit taller and bigger. So the t-shirt appears to be a tad big for Kyuhyun, which makes it go all the way down to the middle of his thighs. As for the legging, that got Siwon mesmerized by how they unnecessarily accentuated his long legs.

“You wear these?” Kyuhyun’s voice brings Siwon back from his day dreaming as he points to the legging he’s wearing.

“Ah? Yes. I wear those when I’m jogging. I normally wear shorts over them, but I don’t think they would fit you”

“So does it look okay?”

“It looks perfect”

Siwon is once again drowning into the man’s body. He doesn’t know what hit him but he can’t tear his eyes off of him. He soon feels his eyebrows twitch into a frown, as he struggled to comprehend the feeling that’s now bouncing throughout his insides.

Kyuhyun on the other hand, is feeling a bit uncomfortable with his clothes since he never wore something like this before, however it’s better than going around in the hospital robe.

Kyuhyun doesn’t know why he suddenly feels the heat spreading through his cheeks, but he figures it out when his eyes meet Siwon’s and they are locked once again in a piercing stare.

“Siwon-ssi. Your phone is ringing” Siwon was lost in thoughts that he didn’t even hear his phone ringing. He pulls it out and picks up. He doesn’t need to see the ID caller since he knows who it is.

> Yah Siwon-ah where are you? Do you have any idea how worried I am? <

“Hyung, I’m sorry. Something came up”

> What do you mean by something came up? Just tell me where are you? <

“I’m at the hospital”

> Hospital? Are you okay? Which hospital, I’ll come … <

“Don’t worry hyung, it’s not me. I’m fine. I have to go now, I’ll call you later.”

Then the line is cut off. Siwon feels bad for ignoring his friend who must be worried sick about him, but he just can’t seem to help it. During the whole conversation, his look didn’t seem to move away from Kyuhyun, and Siwon liked how that made the latter’s face flush again. He looked lovely.

Breaking the awkwardness, Siwon puts his stuff back in his bag and turns to look at Kyuhyun

“I’ll drive you to wherever you want to go”

Kyuhyun realizes that he needs to decide now where he should go. If he goes to his apartment, he may find those two are still there, and he doesn’t want to confront them. Besides, even if they’re not, he doesn’t think he can handle staying at the place where he caught them cheating. He thinks of going to the hospital where he works, but he can’t go like this and besides he’s on a break. He can’t just show up like this.

Kyuhyun bows his head while his hands are nervously twisting the bottom of the t-shirt. He, once again, doesn’t notice Siwon’s approaching him until a hand grips his chin and lifts it so their gazes would meet.

“Can I ask you a question?” Kyuhyun just nods because he’s afraid the tears would fail him if he opens his mouth.

“You said you can’t go to your house. Does it have something to do with why you were crying earlier on the bridge?”

That earns him another nod. Siwon is dying of curiosity but he can feel that Kyuhyun doesn’t want to talk about it so he doesn’t want to push him into telling him anything he doesn’t want to. He removes his hand from Kyuhyun’s chin and puts it on the latter’s back

“Come on. Let’s go”

Kyuhyun’s eyes fell on the man's face before him. He doesn't seem to hesitate. His feet start moving as he follows his savior to wherever he wants to take him.

Finally I can post this chapter. Too much angst got into me but once I wrote the cheesy OneShot I felt better ^^
Although I'm not that satisfied with this one >.<
