One week later…

“Tiffany, I’m so sorry that I’m late. It just seems as if my alarm is broken.” Tiffany rolled her eyes at the common excuses that her friends always use.

“Yah Jessica, your excuses are the same every time. Can’t you think of a new one?” Tiffany didn’t to even bother to look at her friend.

“Fany, I know that you wouldn’t mind. You’re too nice to hold grudges.” Jessica knew her friend too well. “I’ll pay today.”

“So our friendship is only worth for a cup of coffee? Indeed, the Jessica that I knew since I can remember. Money to you is nothing…” Tiffany smiled at the thought of old memories.

“Let’s go shopping.” Jessica suggested. “I really need some new clothes for the summer.”

“Sure.” She as well knew that she needed some new clothes for her meeting tonight.

“Mom, don’t you think that it’s a little ridiculous for an arranged marriage in the year of 2012.”

“Seunghyun, I know that you’ll refuse to this idea. But can’t you do this for your Mother. She’s the daughter of your Mother’ best friend, if only I could do more for the poor girl.” Tears began to build up in her eyes.

“Mom, you know that I can’t bear to see you cry. Stop it.” He pleaded.

“Then agree to it. Please, I really want her to be my daughter-in-law. She’s a nice girl I know that you’ll like her too.” She as well pleaded her son to accept.

“Mom, you know that I have a girlfriend. I can’t just leave her.” As much as he loves his mother, he too loves his girlfriend. Or shall he say girlfriends.

“Seunghyun, which one? You change girlfriends faster then I change the clothes in my closet.” She regrets giving her son too much freedom with his life and the money he spends. “This girl will be your wife whether or not you like it. That’s final.” She stood up from her seat leaving her son with not a chance to object.

“Mom!” He called but he got no answer. “Why me?” He knew that he would never be able to get out of something his Mom insisted on.

“Don’t forget that we’ll meet with them tonight.” His Mom yelled from the other end of the large house.

At the mall…

“Tiffany, what do you think?” Jessica proudly walked out of the fitting room with a light blue sun dress on.

“It’s very pretty.” Tiffany told her.

“Then I’ll get this.” Jessica happily smiled at the pretty dress on her.

“I think I need to get something as well.” Tiffany mumbled to herself. She quickly searched through the dresses in the store.

“Tiffany, you should get this.” Jessica held up a mini pink dress. “Go try it on.” Without any notice Jessica pushed her in the fitting room.

“Don’t you think it’s a little too revealing?” Tiffany hesitated before attempting to walk out of the fitting room.

“It’s perfect. You should totally get it.” Jessica told her.

“It’s too revealing.” She bit her bottom lip.

“You came back from America. If this is called revealing, then they must be walking out the doors.” Jessica rolled her eyes at Tiffany. She knew that it was only because of the price. It was way too much for Tiffany to buy. “I’ll get this for you, as a birthday gift for all these years.”

“No, Jessica. I couldn’t let you buy this for me. It’s too much.” Tiffany said through the fitting room doors.

“Too late I already paid for it.” Jessica informed Tiffany as she walked out of the fitting room.

“Jessica, I’m tired. I’m tired of fighting with you.” Tiffany pouted.

“Then don’t, just accept it.” Jessica smiled.

But the second they walked out of the store Jessica’s attention quickly was caught on someone else.

“Jessica, what’s the matter?” Jessica’s attention was diverted onto a tall guy and a girl standing 3 meters away from them.
