"Dad... Please pick up... Why did you just leave me here alone?" Her hands were heavily shaking as she was trying to dial her father’s number on her phone.

"Hello? Daddy?" She finally got a hold of him on the other line.

"Baby, I'm sor..." Just when she finally heard her father’s voice, she was knocked over by a rather large guy, causing her and her phone to smash into pieces on the hard cold cement sidewalk of the rather quiet streets of Seoul on the morning of a weekday.

When she had managed to get up, she crouched down to pick up the smashed pieces to her phone.

"I'm sorry... I'll pay for that..." The guy apologized.

"Do you think that just paying for it will do? I was in the middle of an important phone call." She blurted to him, as she still had her head down trying to put her phone back together.

"Hey, I said I was sorry! What more do you want? You're loud for a small girl like you." He shouted.

She didn't know what to do all she wanted was to hear her father’s voice again. She sat down in the middle of the sidewalk with her knees tucked tight into her, hugging it tightly so she had something to sob into quietly.

The large guy slowly crouched down next to her, watching her sob quietly.

"Here…" He handed her a tissue.

"Thank you... but could you lend me your phone instead?" She looked up into the large guys' big brown eyes. "I just want to make one call." Her voice shivered.

"Here." He took out his phone from the back pocket of his beige colored pants.

"Thank you." She nodded politely to him with her watery eyes.

She took the phone from him and began dialing her father’s number into his phone. It took about five rings before she heard a reaction from the other line.

"Hello?" She heard a soft whisper from the other line.

"Daddy! It's me." She spoke up.

"Baby... I'm sorry. I know that it was wrong of me to leave you there alone, but I don't want you following me hiding around with nothing to eat. I have left you the last bit of money that I have." He told her.

"But, Daddy. What am I supposed to do? I can't get home because the loaners are looking for me everywhere." She began to cry. "I need you, Daddy. What if they find you?"

"I'll be fine. You just take care of yourself. As soon as things die down I'll come back to look for you." and with that he hung up.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" She screamed through the phone but no one replied.
