Chapter 16

 ~two days later~

 “So, Kibum, when are you going to tell us what happened the other day after you left?” Heechul asks. Kibum looks at him and shakes his head. “It’s nothing.” he says. The two were standing alone with Jisu, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and Donghae. School had just ended a few minutes ago and they decided to meet up on campus. “Well if it’s nothing, then explain why you didn’t come to school yesterday and why you’re so cheerful today.” Donghae says.

Kibum shakes his head. “Don’t worry about it. Once everything is settled, I’ll tell you guys.” he says. “Wah, looks like it’s going to rain soon.” he says trying to change the conversation. See that others weren’t going to give in, Kibum sighs. “I have to have a talk with someone first.” he says. “And it won’t be an easy one.” he adds. The six look at each other before looking back at Kibum. “Talk to who? What happened Kibum?” Jisu asks.

Kibum shakes his head again. “Give me a few days and I should be able to tell you all.” he says. The others nod. “Ah, must be something serious. Huh?” Kyuhyun asks. Kibum nods. “Yeah, that’s why I want all of it settled before telling everyone.” he says. “I don’t want any more complications than there already are.” he adds.

Before anyone else could ask another question, a phone rings. Digging into his pocket, Kibum pulls out his phone. Pressing a button, Kibum puts the phone to his ear. “Hello.” he answers.

“Hey Kibum.”

“Hey Yoona, what’s up?”

“Are you busy?”

“No, did you need something? Is there something that you don’t understand from the packet I gave you?” he asks.

“No, it’s not about the work. I need you talk to you.”

“Okay sure, what do you want to talk about?”

“Well, it’ll be better to talk to you in person. Would you mind meeting me?”

“No problem. Where are you at?”

“I’m at the usual restaurant.”

“Oh, I was on my way there soon.”

“Would you mind meeting me as soon as you can?”

“Sure, I’ll go now.”

“Okay, thanks. Bye.”

“Bye.”

Hanging up his phone, Kibum puts it back in his pocket before looking at the other. “Is everything okay with Yoona?” Sungmin asks. Kibum shrugs. “She asked me to meet up with her at the restaurant.” he says. “Well I have to talk with her anyways, so I guess it works out.” he says. “Okay, I’m going to run ahead. She wants to talk as soon as possible.” he states. As the others nod, Kibum turns and walks off, making his way off campus.

It didn’t take him long to make it to the restaurant. Though it did start to rain, giving him barely enough time to make it into the building dry. Walking into the restaurant, Kibum greets the workers. Looking around, Kibum spots Yoona sitting at one of the tables. “Hey Yoona.” he greets, walking over to the table. Sitting his bag down on the floor next to him, he sits down in the chair across from Yoona. “So what did you want to talk about?” he asks.

Looking up at him, Yoona lets out a breath. “It’s about Siwon.” she says. Kibum slowly nods his head. “Umm, okay.” he says. “What about him?” he asks nervously. Yoona sighs again. “We broke up.” she states. Kibum blink. “Oh… is that right?” he asks. Yoona nods. “Yes, also, I know what happened between you two, two days ago.” she says.

Kibum freezes in his spot as he looks at her. “Y-you k-know?” he asks. Yoona nods. “I’m so sorry Yoona. I’m such a bad friend. If you want to yell at me or hit me as many times as you would like, you can. I knew it was wrong, I told myself it was wrong. I shouldn’t have done it. I knew it was wrong of me to let it happen when you two were still together. But I didn’t stop it. I couldn’t.” he says, whispering the last sentence.

Yoona lets out a small laugh making Kibum look at her. “What’s so funny?” Kibum asks. Yoona looks at her. “You said ‘when you two were still together’.” she says. Seeing the confused look on Kibum’s face, Yoona lets out another small laugh. “Wow, that boy.” she whispers. “Well, so that you won’t be feeling guilty about what you did, I will tell you.” she says.

“He probably wasn’t able to tell you yet because I don’t believe you seen him yesterday. Kibum nods. It was true, yesterday Kibum didn’t see Siwon. After he woke up and most of the day went past, Kibum heard nothing. He started to truly fear that maybe Siwon was regretting what happened as night fell and he laid in bed, starting at the ceiling. But before Kibum could let the thought go completely to his head, Siwon called, reassuring Kibum of his love and talking with the boy until he fell asleep.

“But anyways, me and Siwon broke up before he came to see you.” Yoona explains. Kibum blinks. “Excuse me, what?” he asks. Yoona nods. “Me and Siwon broke up before he went to you.” she says. Kibum tilts his head. “Are you trying to say that I was some sort of rebound?” he asks. Yoona immediately shakes her head. “Oh, no, no, it wasn’t like that Kibum.” she says. Kibum slowly nods. “Okay, then please explain.”

“Of course.” Yoona says. “Well, two day ago, me and Siwon were together, hanging out after school like we usually do. He had been acting strange these past months. And I finally decided to talk to him about them. Whenever I asked him before, he just said that something happened behind you two. He never told me what though.

“Well this time, I didn’t take that as an answer and told him to tell me what truly happened. And he told me what happened. He then also told me what was going on in his mind over all this. So after hearing what he had to say, as a solution, I told him to go to you and confess his feelings. Of course he looked at me strangely seeing how I was his girlfriend.

“But I explained to him. This was him realizing his true feelings. His true feelings for you, Kibum. And I didn’t want to stand in the way of you two, especially knowing how you two felt about each other. Do I like Siwon? Sure, but it didn’t contain the same feelings that were anywhere near the same as yours.

“You’re like a brother to me Kibum. And I want you to be happy. The same goes for Siwon; I want him to be happy too. And because I know how you two feel, I want you two to be together. Truth be told, I’ve also found someone else that I like. I’ve built up the courage to ask them out yesterday. Me and Siwon didn’t really have any type of strong feelings for each other. It was just a ‘you’re a nice boy- I’m a nice girl- we think that the other is a great person so lets date for the fun of it’ type relationship. So either way our relationship was going to end.

“I pushed him toward the decision to go over to your house and talk to you. And he decided that it was best to go as soon as possible. Luckily you were there and you answered.” she explains. Yoona lets out a small sigh as she looks at Kibum. “You really like him. Don’t you?” she asks. Kibum nods as he looks down at the table. “Yeah, love him so much.” he says.

Yoona smiles. “That’s good to know.” she says. She then looks down at her watch. “Oh, look at the time. I think you should be going.” she says. Kibum tilts his head. “Huh? Go where?” he asks. Yoona sighs. “Agh, that boy. Didn’t he tell you that he was going to come over and see you after school?” she asks.

Kibum shakes his head. “Well, he had to meet with one of the teachers after class and said that he was going to go see you afterward.” Yoona explains. “He should be arriving at your place soon. Don’t you think you should go before he gets disappointed that he wasn’t greeted by his lover?” she asks.

Kibum blinks before blushing. “Yeah, you’re right.” he whispers. Yoona nods. “Then go to him.” she says. Nodding, Kibum stands up. “Thanks Yoona.” he says as he picks up his bag. “I truly owe you one. If you need help on anything, just tell me.” Kibum says before turning and hurrying out the restaurant.

Completely forgetting about the rain, Kibum runs down the street. Taking the same route that he always took home, Kibum doesn’t stop running, dodging the different objects and people that came into his view. Not even slowing down as he makes it to his building, Kibum runs inside. Not forgetting to greet the resident he passes, Kibum makes his way to the staircase, skipping every other step.

He finally slows his pace as he makes it to the door to the third floor hallway. Opening the door, Kibum spots the person he was rushing to see standing in front of his apartment door. Hearing the door, Siwon turns to see Kibum standing there. Smiling, Siwon turns fully to him. “Hey Kibum.” he greets.

Smiling, Kibum makes his way down the hall and to Siwon. Once in front of him, Kibum immediately wraps his arms around the taller boy. “Kibum, why did you come out in the rain?” Siwon asks. “You should just called me and told me where you were and I could have came and got you.” he says holding up the umbrella in his hand.

Kibum shakes his head. “Doesn’t matter now.” he whispers burying his face in Siwon’s neck. Siwon smiles as he steps back from Kibum. “Okay, you need to get changed Kibum. We can’t have you sick.” he says. Kibum shrugs. “Well, even if I do get sick, you’ll be here to take care of Me.” he says.

Siwon smiles. “That is true.” he says before leaning down and kissing Kibum. “But it’s better having you healthy.” he says. “Now shall you unlock the door, so I can take you to your room and help you out those wet clothes?” he asks. Nodding, Kibum steps back and turns to the door as he pulls a key out his pocket.

Unlocking the door, Kibum walks into the apartment, followed by Siwon who closes the door behind him. The two take off their shoes before walking farther into the apartment. “So is there anything you want to do today, or any place you want to go when it stop raining?” Siwon asks as they walk into the living room.

Smirking, Kibum drops his bag and turns to him. “Well, since it’s raining, let’s start with the activity that you already suggested.” he says as he begins lifting the wet shirt he was wearing, up and off his body. Letting the shirt fall to the floor, Kibum slowly walks backwards toward his room. “Your choice.” he says to Siwon.

Siwon lets out a small chuckle. “Oh, you know my choice.” he say walking over to Kibum. Pulling Kibum to him, Siwon softly kissing him. “I love you.” he whispers pulling the shorter boys into a hug. Kibum smiles. “I love you too.”
