Hyomin’s POV

I have completely forgotten the fact that Sungjong was in infinite. Somehow, I have a feeling that the past that I want to throw away, will come back to haunt me. From the moment he called me noona, those other people from infinite were looking at me like as if I am from an alien country or something. Not able to stand all those gaze, I pulled Sungjong out of the room and started warning him. I folded my eyes and stared at him. “Yah! How many times have I told you to act like you don’t know me? And don’t call me noona!” He seemed a little taken aback by my reaction. “But noona… why? You weren’t like that in the past!” Upon hearing what he said, I sighed. I guess what happened back then really changed my character. “Arasso Sungjong, people do change, and I am one of them too. Please don’t question me any further alright?” He seems to know what I was trying to imply from that. He simply nodded and replied. “Arasso, Sunyoung noona. I won’t call you noona when those people are around, but let me call you noona when we are alone, please?” and he show his ultimate weapon, the irresistible puppy eyes.

That was the first time I heard people calling me Sunyoung. The last time someone called me by my real name was like ages ago. I sighed and admitted defeat. “Okok. Just make sure you do what you say alright? And please, keep everything a secret. Especially my past.” He nodded and gave me a smile. We decided to go back in after talking but I received a message from JunHyung. I read it and sighed. “Noona, is anything wrong?” Sungjong asked after seeing my reaction. I shook my head and replied. “Nah, it’s just that my friend requested for my help in the last minute, and I can’t accompany JiWoo now.” He shaped his mouth into an ‘O’ shape and said:” Woooo. I see. Is JiWoo Hyung your close friend?” I nodded and replied. “Yes. Please take care of him for me alright? He is an important friend.” He nodded. “Your friend is my friend! Don’t worry!” I gave him a smile and patted his head and we went into the studio afterwards.

Once we got in, all the weird gazes were looking at me again. I ignored those gazes and walked over to JiWoo.” Hey, I just realize I need to meet up with JunHyung later. So we will meet later? Message me when you end, I will meet you and let’s go home together!” he nodded and gave me smile. Before I went off, I sent Sungjong a deadly glare which made him shiver. “Arasso! My mouth is zipped!” “Good!” was what I replied before exiting out of the door.

WooHyun’s POV

I couldn’t believe my ear when I hear Sungjong calling Hyomin noona. I didn’t know that the two of them are so close to each other. My gaze couldn’t leave Hyomin at all. And when I see Hyomin and Sungjong together, I feel really uncomfortable for no reason. Even though Hyomin had already left the room, I still couldn’t take my eyes off the door. There are just so many things about her I don’t understand. Myungsoo even told me that I was so engrossed in thinking that I didn’t hear him call me at all. I apologised to him and started walking over to Sungjong, trying to fish as many information about Hyomin as possible from him. But it failed. No matter how many times, or whatever temptation I tried to tempt him with, it just didn’t work. But I wasn’t going to give up like that.

I was going to pester him all day long until Hoya told us to gather around. It was for the sake of getting to know more about this new guy named JiWoo. Of course, I wasn’t interested in his stuffs at all, but I have no choice but to gather and start listening to him.

JiWoo/Jiyeon’s POV

I thought I will be able to handle the situation without Hyomin smoothly, but it was easier said than done. After doing the self-introduction, questions were being shot at me how fast a machine gun releases its bullets. But still, I tried to answer all the questions as clam as possible. The first question was from Hoya. “How old are you and which class are you?” “I am 18 this year, and I am not in the school. I am being home-schooled but I am registered under this school.” “18? So, you are only older than Sungjong! The rest of us are your hyungs then! And is it possible to be home-schooled and registered in the school at the same time?” I nodded.

After that, Hoya ended his question, and all the other questions were just about my personal life which actually requires no lie. I enjoy what guys do actually. Sports, fooling around with my friends, I ain’t that girly like actually. So when they asked me about my personal life, I just said what I really liked doing as a girl. Finally, the most crucial question. Myungsoo looked at me and started saying. “Actually… you know, you look a bit like Jiyeon.” After hearing him say that, the other guys looked at me and started exclaiming that I indeed looked like Jiyeon. It was actually lucky that I had a perfect answer to this, so that is why I wasn’t that nervous, even though I really am nervous.

I tried to keep clam and stop my voice from shivering and replied. “Ah, Jiyeon? She is my sister? She is the reason why I can be home-schooled and registered in the school at the same time. Having a sibling in this school is one of the many criteria to be registered in this school.” After saying this, the other guys gave me a now-i-know-it look. Myungsoo smiled and said:”I see, I didn’t know that Jiyeon had a brother.” I looked at him with a weird look.” Are you close with Jiyeon?” As far as I remember, I have no recollection of him in the past of my life until I spilled water on his clothes. “Well, for me to know and for you to find out!” He chuckled upon his reply.

“Err, ok.” Was all I could reply. After Myungsoo’s question, we decided to start practising. At first, it was kind of hard for me to keep up, but after a while, I was able to keep up. During the practise, we had jokes and had times of seriousness. They weren’t as bad as how me and Hyomin thought about them in the first place. The image of them being snobbish, arrogant and attention seekers have finally been erased from my mind. Even though I am with them for less than a day, my impression of them really changed.

After the practise, I message Hyomin to tell her that I have already ended my practise and she replied me that she would meet me at the front gate of the school in 10 minutes time. After receiving her message, I bid farewell to the others, packed my stuffs and left for the front gate. Halfway through the school corridor, I could hear WooHyun shouting my name. I turned behind and saw him chasing after me. “Oh? Hyung, is anything wrong?” I gave him a shocked look. He shook his head and replied. “Nothing is wrong. Are you meeting Hyomin later?” I nodded. “Can I go with you? I need to apologise to Hyomin about some stuffs. She hasn’t been giving me any chance these days, so I couldn’t apologise to her.”

I thought for a while and nodded finally. “Are you talking about the incident where you maligned her for slapping someone?” He seemed shocked at my question. “I guess you two are really close. She even told you this kind of stuffs.” I nodded and replied. “Yes, we are! We have known each other since young though.” “Really?” and his face expression changed after hearing what I said. I looked up at him and realised he looked different. He seemed jealous or something. I patted his shoulder. “Hyung, are you ok?” He looked up and gave me flustered smile. “Of course! Let’s go meet Hyomin; I don’t want her to wait for me too long.” I nodded and we went to the school gate together.

When we reached the school gate, I saw Hyomin and Junhyung waiting at the school gate. I waved to them and started screaming Hyomin’s name. But when I saw Junhyung there, I was really shocked. He didn’t know about this transformation of mine, and I was worried that he would reveal everything without the intention in front of WooHyun. But just then, Hyomin gave me a wink and I felt relieved all of a sudden. Just then, WooHyun walked over and Hyomin’s face changed instantly. “What are you doing here?” She asked WooHyun in a really cold voice. “Hyomin, we need to talk.”  WooHyun gave her a look that would melt any girl’s heart. But Hyomin wasn’t in the category of melting at the way his eyes look.

Instead of giving him a chance, she stared and him and said:” I am not interested in whatever you have to say.” And she pulled me and Junhyung away. I turned over to WooHyun, bowed to him and mouth the word sorry before leaving.

WooHyun’s POV

I didn’t know that I would be so affected by Hyomin’s actions. When JiWoo said that the two of them have been close since young, I felt somehow uncomfortable, but I managed to shake that feeling off. But when I saw her with Junhyung, that uncomfortable feeling came back again. And it was also there when I saw her winking towards JiWoo. I wasn’t too sure about my feelings at first, but after Hyomin’s cold attitude towards me, I felt really sad and dejected. That was when I suspected that my feelings for Hyomin wasn’t like the ones for the other fan girls I have in the school, and that uncomfortable feeling that I felt was actually because I was jealous.
