Sungyeol’s POV

I was walking back to class after pasting the posters in the school to inform others about the audition. All the members got into pairs to do it but I was left to do it alone. What a loner. I thought. With a cup of iced coffee in my hands, I began walking to class. Just then, I saw Hyomin and Jiyeon coming from another corner of the school and they began walking in front of me. I paid no attention to them at first, but what they said caught my attention.

Blue colour wordings indicates Sungyeol’s thought when he heard Jiyeon and Hyomin’s Conversation.

“Yah! Why didn’t you let me explain the matter just now? You didn’t slap them alright?” Jiyeon started raised my voice at Hyomin. Slapping? Wow, violent stuffs.

 “Well, it’s ok. Don’t bother. It isn’t important anyway. I don’t need him to understand what is going on though.” And Hyomin gave Jiyeon a smile. Him? Who is the him that she is referring to?

“Aish. Alright! So how is it? I mean your face. Does it still hurt? Gosh. Naeun sure has one steel hand. Your face is downright reddish in colour.” And they both laughed at Jiyeon’s statement. Huh? Naeun? Gosh. She slapped Hyomin. I knew she wasn’t nice but this is too much!

In the end, Hyomin shook her head and replied. “It’s alright. It’s no big deal!”

After hearing this, I was going to confirm with Hyomin if what happened is true, and also to make sure that I didn’t hear things wrongly. But in the end, I stopped my footsteps and kept a distance between us and also made sure that they don’t spot me when Hyomin went to Junhyung. I saw the Apink girls bullying Junhyung in one corner. Geez, doesn’t he know how to defend himself? I thought. Hyomin went over to him and pulled him away. But the Apink girls don’t know when to stop.

When Hyomin and Junhyung started walking away, the girls began to shout: “Where are you going? We are not done!” And what Hyomin did was that she turned around, stared at them and shouted back: “Not done? Go bully yourself then. Tsk.” And she walked over to Jiyeon’s direction with Junhyung and went over to the garden. I have no idea why but I mentally clapped one thousand times when Hyomin rebutted back. No one has ever dared to talk back to the girls and for some reason, it actually felt nice when Hyomin did that.

In the end, I followed them to the garden to find out what had happened. Again, I stood at some place far away from them yet I could hear what they talk. Finally, I got the whole situation. Damn it, those girls are just so mean. What’s wrong with looks anyway? Everybody has a fair chance in this! Feeling pissed, I stomped off to class.

Jiyeon’s POV

After the talk in the garden, the 3 of us went back to class to attend lessons. During lesson times, without fail, I can’t help but look at Hyomin and Junhyung. They seem so calm and relaxed after everything that has happened just now. How is it possible for them to be like this? Unlike them, my blood is boiling every single time when I thought of what those girls did. In the end, I spent the 3 hours of lesson time thinking of a way for revenge. I didn’t even realise that class has ended if it wasn’t for Hyomin.

“Jiyeon! Are you ok?” she shook my shoulder. “Huh? Oh…I am fine.” And I gave her a smile. She looked at me like with a suspecting look on her face:” Are you sure? I called you for 5 times and you only responded to me just now. And you look so distracted in class.” Since Hyomin is my best friend, I decided to tell her everything. “Well, I will tell you what happen, but let’s go somewhere to talk about it alright, and where is Junhyung?” “He said he has things to do, so he went off first, and sure, let’s go somewhere else!” and she packed her stuffs in a hurry. After packing our stuffs, we went to our usual hangout place where nobody in the school knows about it.

Myungsoo’s POV

After class, I headed to the music studio where the members always gather together after school. And since I am in the same class with WooHyun, we went to the music studio together. “L! I have something to ask you.” He said with a serious tone. “What?” I answered him in a totally i-am-not-interested-in-answering-you tone. “What did you mean by I have no brain?” He asked while walking and smiling to the girls when we are on the way to the studio.

“You will know later.” I didn’t feel like answering him. He is just so dumb sometimes. Luckily, we reached the music studio before he could ask me another question. I pushed open the door to see the members sitting in a circle, talking. When WooHyun saw the situation, he threw his bag to one side and spoke while making his way to the members. “What are you guys talking about? Gossiping?” and he laughed.

“Right. Gossip.” Sungjong snorted while he answered back. Totally uninterested in what happened, I took out my book and started writing lyrics. “I was just joking bro, so what’s up?” WooHyun asked. Well actually, they talked so loud that I can hear them from where I am sitting at. “Since you guys are here, I will just repeat what I have just said.” Sungyeol answered. “Apink is at it again. They are going around bullying people again. And this time it is because of the audition.” He sighed and continued. “You know Hyomin and Jiyeon right? Well, from what I know, Hyomin got slapped by Naeun.” WooHyun was about to asked him questions but was cut off by Sungyeol. “And Junhyung got bullied for wanting to join the audition. Geez. How mean can they get?”

WooHyun’s POV

I was actually confused at Sungyeol’s statement. What did he meant by Hyomin getting slapped? Wasn’t Naeun the one that got slapped? I was going to ask him the questions that I had in mind but I got cut off by him. So in the end, I waited until he finished talking before I raised my questions. Finally, he was done. He was talking about a guy named Junhyung whom I have no interest in. Without waiting, I kept shooting Sungyeol’s questions.

“Are you sure Hyomin got slapped? Did she tell you herself? Because, from what I know, Naeun is the one that got slapped. Not Hyomin.” I said. Sungyeol looked at me as if he was confused. “Serious? Are you at the scene when Naeun got slapped? And no, she didn’t tell me. I overheard her conversation with Jiyeon. ” I nodded my head and answered. “Not exactly. I just happened to see Hyomin trying to slap Naeun and I went to stop her. And Naeun told me that she got slapped. And Bomi even said she could be a witness. Myungsoo is there too! You can confirm with him! In this case, you could have heard wrongly, Sungyeol.”

The members turned to look at Myungsoo who looks like he was doodling on his book or something. Hoya started to ask:”Yah L! Is it true?” Myungsoo continued doodling on his book while answering at the same time: “Yes and No.” I was confused by his answer. “What do you mean?” He stopped whatever he was doing and looked at me. “So that’s why I said you had no brain. Well yes, Hyomin tried to slap Naeun, that’s a fact. But Naeun didn’t get slapped by Hyomin. Hyomin was the one who got slapped. And Bomi? Come on, they are friends, of course she would spin up facts that will cover their ugly sides.”

My eyes grew wide when I heard what Myungsoo said. But I wasn’t satisfied with his answer. “How did you know that Hyomin was the one who got slapped by Naeun and not the other way round?” “Can’t you see that one side of Hyomin’s face was red? And you can clearly see the shape of Naeun’s palm on her face. I don’t think that Hyomin would be that stupid to slap her own face right?” he answered back.

“Yeah! I saw it too! Naeun’s face palm on Hyomin face!” Sungyeol exclaimed while laughing. Everybody laughed at Sungyeol’s comment except me. "Oh, and i know who is the him she was referring to now." and Sungyeol looked at me. "What?" i gave him an annoyed look. "She said there was no need in letting him understand what is going on though. And i believe it was you that she is referring to. Since you misunderstood her."

After hearing what he said, i felt guilty. I couldn’t believe I sided with the wrong person and I even scolded Hyomin for nothing. I am just so stupid sometimes, and like what Myungsoo said, I don’t think I have a brain. But anyway, I decided to apologise to Hyomin about what I did, even though I know she wouldn’t accept my apology. While I was deep in my thoughts, I heard Myungsoo asking Sungyeol questions. “Anyway, who is Junhyung?” Everybody kept quiet as they were thinking. And suddenly Hoya started talking. “Ah! I know who he is. He is the friend of Hyomin and Jiyeon. Junhyung only has the two of them as friends, and as far as I know, Jiyeon and Hyomin only talks to him and nobody else. Well, that only applies for guys.”

“JunHyung? Hmmm.” Myungsoo whispered. “You were saying something?” Hoya asked him. Myungsoo shook his head and continued doodling on his book. The other members continued discussing about Apink where I kept observing Myungsoo. He seems to be in deep thoughts after knowing who Junhyung was. But in the end, I paid no attention to it, and we started practising our songs.

Hyomin’s POV

We went to the school’s rooftop. Well, since there are rumors about the rooftop being hunted, nobody in the school dared to come up. So in the end, we made the rooftop our hangout place. Once we reached the rooftop, I started asking Jiyeon questions. “So what is it?” I looked at her while asking. “Well… I am thinking of going for the audition.” Jiyeon replied without looking at me. Judging by the way she is behaving and the tone of her voice, I knew something was wrong. “What audition?” I asked.

“You know… Infinite’s audition.” Jiyeon replied in a soft tone.
