LeeJoon’s POV

When I reached the corridor of the school, I saw Hyomin being pulled to some place by Junhyung. Feeling curious, I followed them without thinking twice. I stood outside the rooftop and eavesdropped on them. I was totally shocked when I heard Hyomin saying that she and WooHyun are taking a break from each other right now for a week.  I wouldn’t have believe it if I heard it from somebody else. But it’s Hyomin who said it herself. Right now, I am having mixed emotions. I am happy at the fact that they kind of broke up, but yet, I am angry at the fact that WooHyun hurt her.

I clenched my fist while walking down the stairs. Just as I came out from the stairs, I spotted WooHyun at the corridor. Not being able to control my anger, I went over to him and forced him to follow me to a quiet corner, and there, I began my violent act. I gave him a punch on the face, pushed him towards the wall and grabbed his collar. “You jerk! You promised not to hurt Hyomin! And now what? I see her crying and being comforted by some other guy there. So this is what you meant by cherishing her and love for forever? Dude, I can do better than you.”I paused for a while and continued. “From today onwards, I am going to make sure that she is in better hands. I am going to take care of her, love her and cherish her. So you! Better get out of my way.”

And I just walked off without waiting for him to reply or do anything. He doesn’t deserve that chance, at all.

WooHyun’s POV

After LeeJoon walked off, I started wiping the blood off my lips. Gosh, this guy is just so violent. I walked out of the stairways and walked back to the class to see Hyomin smiling at Junhyung. I stood there and stared at them for a while until Hyomin started to take notice of me. I could see that she was really shocked and I guess it was because of the injury I got from LeeJoon since she kept looking at lips. But I just gave her a smile to assure her that nothing is wrong and I just walked back to my seat.

Well, when I arrived at my seat, Hyuna was already there. No matter how irritated I felt, I still greeted her with a smile. Here comes her clinging and irritating act again. She wrapped her hands around my arms and kept on touching my lips. “WooHyunnie! What is wrong with your lips?” I just kept quiet at her question and she just keeps on repeating the same old thing again. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore, and there, my volcano erupted. “Stop it Kim Hyuna. Stop irritating me!” I didn’t realize that my voice was that loud until the teacher started asking questions. “WooHyun-ssi, what’s wrong?”

I looked at the teacher with a serious face and said. “Yes. Everything is wrong. Kim Hyuna is irritating and pestering me and I can’t concentrate right now. Please change my seat. Somewhere far from this lady right here.” I refrain from using any vulgarities since I still treated her as my friend. Just then, I hear Myungsoo voicing out too. “Miss Park! Change my seat too! Or change away Goo Hara’s seat! She is pestering me like some vermin and I can’t take it anymore! I feel like I’m going to explode and I am sure that my grades are going to drop!” Wow, Myungsoo sure is harsh; he described Hara as a vermin. I gave him a thumb up sign and he laughed.

So in the end, we changed our seats. Myungsoo got to seat beside Hyomin and whereas I got to sit beside Jiyeon. I guess it’s a good thing isn’t it? At least Junhyung isn’t seating beside Hyomin right now, and since it’s Myungsoo that is seating beside her, I feel much more relieved. Just then, Jiyeon gave me a nudge and asked me about my lips. I sighed and told her about the whole LeeJoon incident and her eyes grew wide. Just then, I felt a kick on chair. I turned behind and saw that it was Myungsoo. He whispered to me yet in a deadly tone. “Yah! You are dead if you dare to flirt with my property!”

I shook my head when I heard him saying that. What’s friendship to this guy? Tsk. When the bell rang for break time, I was being pulled away to another quiet corner by Junhyung this time. I sighed and thought to myself. When is this going to end?
 

Junhyung’s POV

So in the end, I switched place with Myungsoo and sat beside Hara right now. The moment I settled down in my seat, I hear Hara saying. “Don’t expect me to fall for you, I will never fall for you.” I rolled my eyes when I heard her saying that. How cocky is this girl exactly? “Don’t worry too much. I never expected you to fall for me, and trust me, thinking that I have feelings for you was a wrong feeling from the start. I have never ever had feelings for you at all.” When she heard my answer, she gave me a shocked expression and I gave her a smirk.

Is it that shocking? I ignored her and continued doing my own stuffs. When the bell for break time rang, I went over to WooHyun and pulled him to one corner. “WooHyun-ssi, I am right now declaring that I am going to woo Hyomin. Please look at me as a rival from now on. I am tired of being just a friend to her. And I am sure that this one week break from each other is a good opportunity for you. That’s all I want to say. Thank you.” And I bowed and walked away.

WooHyun’s POV

I was expecting to get another punch from Junhyung but in the end, all he gave was just words. It’s actually, kind of weak? But still, what is this? It’s only the first day of the week, and yet, there is already two guys trying to snatch my girlfriend from me. I knew Hyomin was popular with guys, but I didn’t know she was this popular. Once again, I walked out from the corner and was on the way to the class since I didn’t feel like eating, when I felt another hand pulling me away from the crowd. Gosh, what is this? Another admirer of Hyomin that is trying to declare a love war with me?

I was about to lose my temper when I realized that the person who pulled me away was Hyomin. I began stuttering when I see her in front of me. I guess I am back to square one right now. The time when I had a crush on Hyomin, and all I could do was being fidgeting around her. And yes, I am having that exact same feeling right now. She pulled me to one corner of the garden in school and took out one small pouch that contains all the first aid stuffs.

And there, she started nursing my injury that was on my lips. There was an awkward silence until she started talking. “Eaten yet?” I shook my head. “Why not?” she continued asking and I just kept quiet. She sighed and handed me a sandwich. “I just got this from the stall, so eat this, or else, you will go hungry.” I looked at her while eating the sandwich that she gave me, and yes, she was nursing my lips still with me eating the sandwich. While she was doing so, I was literally staring at her face features. I have done this a few times in the past but I never get tired of it. Her features were all so perfect that it just draws my attention.

I stopped staring at her when I heard her coughing. “Alright, I’m done, so I’m going off now alright?” and before she could leave, I grabbed onto her hand and said. “Don’t leave please? Stay with me.” At first, she rejected. But eventually, she gave in to me and stayed beside me. And trust me, when she did that, I felt really happy.

Hyomin’s POV

When WooHyun walked into the class, I saw that his lip was actually bruised, and it looks like a fresh wound, and immediately, I started worrying about him. I saw him walked over to his seat and yeah, that Hyuna is acting close to him again. I rolled my eyes and turned away from them. I can’t bear to look at Hyuna flirting with WooHyun. I sighed as I thought of the happy moments that Hyuna and WooHyun might possibly have together until I hear him requesting to change seats. And in the end, Myungsoo sat beside me and WooHyun was beside Jiyeon, and yeah, he is sitting directly in front of me right now.

It’s kind of awkward since I just announced that I wanted us to have some time alone. But nonetheless, this is better than having him sit beside Hyuna all the time.

Right when the bell for break rang, I ran off to the nursing room to borrow the first aid kit to nurse WooHyun’s wound. Just as I was on the way back to class, I saw WooHyun at the corridor. I called out to him a few times but he didn’t answer. So in the end, I had to pull him to grab his attention.

So I dragged him to one corner of the school garden, and handed him a sandwich while I nurse his wounds. It wasn’t a serious wound, but it just aches me to see him hurt. So after nursing his wounds, of course, I stood up and prepared to leave but I felt a hand grabbing my wrist and it turned out to be WooHyun. He looked straight into my eye and said.” “Don’t leave please? Stay with me.” I rejected at first, but I gave in eventually since I knew how stubborn he is.

I sat back and down and just stared at the ground, and there was only silence. This is awkward. I don’t know what to say and I don’t think he has anything to say too.  So leaving was a better option for this situation, at least to me. I decided to tell WooHyun that I am leaving no matter what. But just as I was about to do so, WooHyun started talking to me. “Yah, Park Hyomin.  I didn’t know you were this popular.” I looked at him with a confused face. What did he meant by that?

“It’s only the first day and I have two guys declaring love war with me. And one of them even punched me.” My eyes turned wide at his statement, and he didn’t even wait for me to comment and he continued his sentence. “You said you wanted a week’s break to think if we really needed each other, trusted each other and wanted each other. I don’t need a week. One day was enough of me to figure my answer out. My intention from the start was the same until now. I want you, I need you, and I trust you and I love you.” He paused for another few seconds before continuing his sentence.

“Maybe you don’t feel the same way and you need time to think. But it’s ok. No matter how long it takes, my heart will never change. My feelings for you will never change, and it will stay the same. I will be right here, waiting for you.” And he pointed to where my heart located.

I looked at him with teary eyes, knowing that my tears were about to fall. For some reason, he knows that I am about to cry after hearing his so called speech. He patted on his chest and said. “If you want to cry, I will always be here, to hold you near my heart, and let you feel comfortable. Would you like to try it out?” Ok, that last sentence cracked me up. I giggled a little and gave him a light punch on his chest and said. “I will consider.” And I walked away, with him shouting at the back, asking me to wait for him.

Ta-dah. I don’t know what I was trying to convey in this chapter.
