Author’s POV

Without saying much or doing much, both Hyomin and Jiyeon were being dragged away by the three girls that confronted them. Hyomin and Jiyeon did try to struggle and break free from the three girls but they failed. Since their mouth was being covered, nobody had heard their cries or screams. So in the end, they can only follow the three girls and get dragged into a corner where nobody except for the five people.

Hyomin’s POV

I have completely no idea why and how the hell I got dragged by those three girls. I was struggling like as if there was no tomorrow until we finally stopped and I recognized the three girls immediately. “Oh gosh. APink members?” I snorted. Standing face to face wasn’t that scary anymore. (Apink is another girl gang in the school and they are as popular as infinite, and they have a crush on Infinite.) “Yeah. It’s surprising that you can recognize us, park Hyomin.” One of the girls smirked while saying.

“Well of course I would know you girls. You are famous for being two sided es.” I replied with a fake smile on my face. Upon hearing the word , they started to flare up. “What? How can we be es? We are like the most popular girls in the school!” I smirked and wrapped my hands around Jiyeon: “Naeun , Chorong and Bomi right? I think the two of us can beat you at this popularity game.” And I could see Jiyeon smirking.

Not accepting defeat, they started a conversation war with us. Chorong shook her head and smirked slightly:” Maybe it’s not like what you said. If the two of you were really popular, infinite members wouldn’t have pour water on you PURPOSELY.” And she emphasized on the word purposely. “Hold your horses girls. I don’t really understand where you are going.”

Naeun moved one step forward and fold her arms and started talking: “You know, we heard what the two of you said when you were in the washroom. Those bad stuffs about infinite members. Do you girls know what a mistake you have made? Those oppas are perfect, so don’t use your filthy mouth to insult them alright?” I shook my head and sighed: “fan girls nowadays… Tsk tsk tsk. What’s the point of getting all head over heels over them? Like as if they are yours.”

“They are ours. Apink and Infinite. We have 7 members and so do they. We are destined to be together!” Bomi shouted. Upon hearing this, I couldn’t help but face palm myself mentally. These girls are incurable. What the hell is wrong with their mind? “Alright girls, they are yours, ok, and fine, whatever. But please. Don’t drag us into your drama; we ain’t really interested you know?” I was about to go off when my hair got pulled. “Ack! What the hell are you doing now?!” I shouted and turned around staring at them. “You think this is over? We are just going to let you go after you insulted Infinite members? Hell no!” and Naeun gave me one tight slap. I held my face with my palm and saw Jiyeon’s eyes turned wide. I raised my hand preparing to return them their present, which is a slap from me, when I felt my hand being pulled. “What are you doing?” a voice was heard shouting at me. I turned around to see who it was and I realized that it was WooHyun. Myungsoo was behind him too.

WooHyun’s POV

Myungsoo and I had finished pasting the posters on the walls. And the last poster was pasted at the far end of the corridor, which is like totally far away from our lockers. We were walking back to our lockers when Myungsoo suddenly said that he needed the washroom. Geez, this guy is just so random. In the end, I had no choice but to follow him to the washroom.

As we were moving towards the washroom, I could hear girls shouting and to be more precise, fighting. They were like arguing over something that I couldn’t really hear properly. Due to my curiosity, I decided to move closer and determine what was happening. As I got closer, I could hear them talking about infinite. What’s wrong with infinite? I thought. I moved even closer to hear them much more clearly. And finally I heard a slapping sound. It seems like someone was being slapped.

Finally, I reached the origin of the sound. I saw the Apink members with two other girls standing in front of each other, staring straight into their eyes. I saw one of the girls raising her hand, preparing to give Naeun a slap or something. So in the end, I ran over and tried to stop her from slapping Naeun. I grabbed her hand, and shouted: “What are you doing?” and this made her stop her actions.

She turned around and stared me in the eye. I stared back at her and realized that it was Hyomin and Jiyeon was standing by her side.. “Can’t you see what I am doing? I am trying to slap someone here!” she shouted and tried to break free from my grasp. “Slapping isn’t a good thing, Hyomin-ssi.” I replied in a firm voice while still grabbing her wrist.

Just then, Naeun faked a crying voice and started talking:”WooHyun oppa! This mean girl here slapped me just now and she thinks one slap isn’t enough!" “What? I slapped you? Geez. I was the one who got slapped just now, wasn’t it?” Hyomin shouted. Naeun didn’t reply and just continued crying. Bomi spoke out and said that she can be a witness to what happened. I stared at Hyomin and grabbed her wrist even tighter. “Why did you slap her? Once is enough isn’t it?” I raised my voice at her.

She seemed shocked by the sudden raise of my voice. But still, she began to stay calm and rebut back:” Yeayea, I slapped her face. Blah blah blah. Go on, scold me. I won’t regret it. Pfft. And can you please let go of my hand? I feel disgusted by the fact that you are holding my hand.” I let go of her hand and said:” Fine. I didn’t know you were so mean. I thought you were just defending Jiyeon last time round, so that’s why your attitude was that bad, but what I couldn’t guess was that your attitude really .” Jiyeon was about to speak out but she got cut off by Hyomin. “Yeah! That’s right! I am mean, I have a bad attitude! So go away, far away from me!” and she walked off, with Jiyeon following her behind.

I shook my head when Hyomin walked off and turned to the Apink girls. “Are you girls ok?” I smiled at them and asked. They nodded and smiled back. “Alright, classes are going to start, go back to class alright?” I smiled and walked off with Myungsoo. While we were walking to class, Myungsoo started speaking up. “Hey dude, do you even have a brain?” I was shocked by his question. “What were you saying?” I stopped my footsteps and asked him. “Looks like you really don’t have one.” Myungsoo replied me in a cold tone and continued walking.

I couldn’t help but think what the hell is wrong with this guy. But in the end, I let the matter go, thinking that he is just in a bad mood.

Jiyeon’s POV

“Yah! Why didn’t you let me explain the matter just now? You didn’t slap them alright?” I raised my voice at Hyomin. “Well, it’s ok. Don’t bother. It isn’t important anyway. I don’t need him to understand what is going on though.” And she gave me a smile. “Aish. Alright! So how is it? I mean your face. Does it still hurt? Gosh. Naeun sure has one steel hand. Your face is downright reddish in colour.” And we both laughed at our statement. She shook her head and replied. “It’s alright. It’s no big deal!”

So in the end, we talked as we walked to our classroom when we see JunHyung being cornered by a bunch of girls. Hyomin and I ran to him and saw that it was another bunch of Apink girls. This time, it was Yookyung, Hayoung, Eunji and Namjoo. “Hey nerd, don’t ever try to take Sunggyu oppa’s place in infinite alright? You don’t have the chance nor the talent nor the looks!” Namjoo pointed out. I was expecting JunHyung to rebut back but all he did was keep quiet and stand there.

Knowing that they won’t get any response from Junhyung, the girls started to poke Junhyung hardly, making his glasses dropped off. In the end, Junhyung had to squat down and find his glasses. I guess Hyomin couldn’t take the fact that Junhyung is getting bullied, she went over to JunHyung and took his glasses and gave it back to him, and pulled him away. While Hyomin did that, the girls shouted:”
Where are you going? We are not done!” Hyomin turned around, stared at them and shouted back:”Not done? Go bully yourself then. Tsk.” And she walked over to my direction with Junhyung. We settled down at the garden in the school, and Hyomin began to bomb JunHyung with questions. “What is going on?” All Junhyung did was kept quiet and looked down. “Yah! Yong JunHyung! Reply please!” Junhyung looked at Hyomin like he was hurt.

“Junhyung, we are friends aren’t we? You can tell us what happen.” I smiled at him. He sighed and started talking. “All I wanted was to sing. What’s wrong with it? And since infinite is looking for a replacement, I thought that was my chance, so I decided to give it a go. But the Apink members knew what I was planning to do, and they decided to talk me out of it, in a nasty manner. I guess, I am a real failure huh?”

Hyomin pinched his cheek and laughed :”Nope. Junhyung isn’t a failure. It’s just that you are too special to let other people notice it. And seriously, don’t join that infinite audition. They are a bunch of jerks, I don’t want you to become a jerk.”

Junhyung smiled and replied:”As you wish.” Even though both Hyomin and Junhyung was fine with what the girls did, I wasn’t. I knew that more troubles would come by if we don’t take any actions. And in the end, I did something that I never knew I would do.
