WooHyun’s POV

After what happened yesterday, I decided that avoiding Hyomin would be the best thing to do. I am suffocating from my heart aching and I am still uncertain why I felt this way. I realised that this feeling would only be there when Hyomin is around, and in order to make sure that I won’t feel this nasty feeling anymore, I decided to make sure that I will never ever talk to Hyomin anymore. I was walking to class when I saw Myungsoo standing in front of his locker, looking at a pendant that was on his neck, which I have never seen before.

 I walked over to him, patted his back and asked:”Hey bro, what are you doing?” Without looking at me, he just simply replied. “Lovesick.” I was shocked at his answer. I knew he was always straightforward and he has nothing to hide, but I didn’t know he was this straightforward. I pulled him to the music studio and started questioning him. “Don’t tell me you still have feelings for Hara!” Hara was his ex girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend that broke his heart completely.

He shook his head and replied. “No, not Hara.” He paused a while before continuing. “I found her, Yeonnie.  I found her.” I was completely shocked by his answer. “What? Your childhood friend? And I assume that new necklace on your neck has something to do with her.” He nodded again and replied. “Yes. We both have one each. Mine has the name Yeonnie engraved on it, and hers has the one that has the name Myungie engraved on it. And I found the pendant with the name Myungie engraved on it recently. And you wouldn’t believe who it was.”

I didn’t reply and waited for him to tell me who Yeonnie was. He continued speaking. “Jiyeon. She is Yeonnie.” My eyes widen when I heard Jiyeon’s name. “What? Jiyeon? Are you sure? You must have been mistaken.” He turned to me and I could see the serious look on his eyes. “No. I am sure of it. Remember the day when I banged into her and made her school uniform wet? I saw her necklace, and I could see the name Myungie being engraved on it. At first, I was like you; I thought I could have mistaken it so I ignored it. But then on the day when Jiyeon was facing up front with the Apink’s member, I saw Jiyeon’s necklace again. And I was able to take a closer look this time. And I really saw the word Myungie engraved on it. I was then certain that it really is her.”

I was there speechless. I was really happy that Myungsoo found Yeonnie, but on the other hand, I was shocked that Jiyeon was Yeonnie. Just then the bell for the first lesson rang. I realised that lesson has already started. And what’s worse was that I will be taking Japanese today, and this is my first lesson, and none of the infinite members would be in the same class as me. So I decided to run over to class. When I reached the class, my mouth dropped wide opened.

Jiyeon’s POV

Today is the day when me, Hyomin and JunHyung study Japanese. It was actually a new course for the school, and only few people were being picked to attend the class, and the three of us were lucky enough to be chosen to study it. When i got into the class, the teacher started allocating us seats. Gosh, this teacher is so childish. I think we are old enough to choose our own seats but yet, she insisted on allocating us the seats. I have no choice but to oblige. So in the end, Hyomin and JunHyung is supposed to seat together, whereas me, i am sitting with a latecomer. A latecomer that i do not know of. Just say class were supposed to start, i heard the door open. I looked up and saw that WooHyun was at the door.

“What is he doing here?” Hyomin started to whisper to me when she saw WooHyun at the door. I shook my head and shrug my shoulder indicating that i am exactly clueless as he is. I guess WooHyun was really shocked that he was in the same class as us, since his mouth literally dropped when he saw us in the class. But that ended when the teacher welcomed him in and started allocating him his slides. From the looks of his face, i can tell that he was actually also disgusted at the fact his seat has to be allocated by the teacher. “Alright, WooHyun, please take a seat beside Jiyeon.” She told WooHyun after taking a look at her files.

He walked over to my side and gave me an awkward smile. I smiled back and said:”Hello! Jiyeon imnida!” I guess he was shocked by my sudden change in attitude, since i wasn’t that friendly with him in the past. He replied me with a much more comfortable smile. “Annyeong, WooHyun imnida! Nice to meet you.” I giggled and said:”I know a lot about you from my oppa, so i changed my opinion of you. Let’s be friends alright?” He paused for a while and nodded. “Ok!” and he smiled. We were going to continue the conversation until the teacher announced that she was going to start the lesson. We stopped talking and we focused on the lessons. Throughout the whole lessons, i could the voice of the jealous people in the class discussing about me and WooHyun. Whereas for WooHyun, i always catch him stealing glances at Hyomin.

I nudged WooHyun and started whispering. “Hey, you like Hyomin or what?” He seemed shocked by my question. And in the end, without waiting for his reply, i started talking instead. “I will help you win her heart. Just don’t break her heart alright?” I could see that his eyes sparkled when i proposed that idea, but he didn’t reply anything. I guess he was trying to act like he doesn’t like Hyomin or something. But i am sure that even someone blind could see that he likes Hyomin, only he himself still doesn’t get it.

WooHyun’s POV

I was really shocked when Jiyeon started talking to me. I thought she has always hated me for some particular reason.  But now, it seems like she didn’t. She said it was because of her brother so that’s why she changed her opinion of me. So i guess i owe JiWoo one then. I started to focus on the lessons but i couldn’t help but steal glances at Hyomin. I don’t know why but i just have the urge to do it all the time. And every single time, without fail, i would get that uncomfortable feeling in my heart again. Every single time i look at Hyomin, she would either be smiling towards JunHyung or she would be lying on JunHyung’s shoulder. I felt so pissed with JunHyung that i felt like walking over and pulling JunHyung away. And how much i wished that i was in JunHyung’s place instead.

While i was looking at Hyomin, Jiyeon nudged me and started whispering to me.”Hey, you like Hyomin or what?” I was so shocked that i couldn’t reply and without waiting for my reply, she started talking again. “I will help you win her heart. Just don’t break her heart alright?” I could feel my heart jumping out due to the happiness. But in order to show that it didn’t matter much to me,  i kept my cool and didn’t reply. So in the end, Jiyeon started messaging Hyomin and asked her if i could join them for lunch and in the end, she agreed. When Jiyeon told me the good news, i was really happy, like really happy. I thanked her and continuing studying, and so did she. While studying, i started to remember what Myungsoo told me this morning.

I started looking at Jiyeon’s neck and i really found a necklace with the exact same pendant as Myungsoo. So i started to ask her. “Hey Jiyeon, is that necklace from your boyfriend?” She touched her necklace and replied. “Nope, just someone i treasure a lot. But you can say he is my first love.” She blushed a little after replying. “Oh, so where is your first love now?” I continued asking. “He went back to America when he was 10. He bought this for my birthday. And he engraved the word Myungie on the back of this pendant. And know what? I don’t even know his name till now.” I kept calm and nodded my head. “I see...” “Why? Is something wrong?” Jiyeon started asking. I shook my head and replied. “No, i just thought that pendant was pretty. And oh, Jiyeon, i am sorry, but i can’t go to lunch with you guys today, i just realised that i have something to do.”

She shook her head and replied. “No, it’s ok. Next time perhaps.” And she continued studying. It was really sad that i need to forgo the idea of having lunch with Hyomin but Myungsoo was much more important to me. He was my closest friend from young and i had to tell him this news. Jiyeon was really Yeonnie.
