One peeve of mine is when parents, in real life, get involved when authors are writing fanfics and updating stuff.

They don't really seem to understand the fanfic world and believe that it's a waste of time or something, when in fact, I believe, along the way every author is somehow improving their writing skills. Not just by themselves, but other people on the site are nice enough to help authors improve.

Some fanfics aren't even to do with writing

There is one fanfic that I personally LOVE and it's rated and unfortunately, her parents found out what she was writing and didn't let her continue. I don't know if she ever will update but it's things like these that are depressing for the author and readers when parents just have to meddle.
