If the main character has her parents, they are introduced once and NEVER to be heard of again. I did that in my Dongwoon fanfic. And made no mention of parents in my Myungsoo fic.

Which can be confusing at times but if it's not, go for it.

The main thing is that it's typical now to have the OC's parents in another country on business or something so HOT KPOP DUDE can come over and study and then it leads to something more!

Another thing, one or both parents will always be dead.

That's not a nice thing.

But sometimes, when you read a lot of fanfics like I do, it makes it seem like its a common thing in South Korea for teenagers to lose their parents at 8 in a car crash, where you were the only survivor.

Firstly, have your parents heard of a seatbelt. There for a reason. Secondly, why were their eyes not on the road.

Lastly, walking would've saved gas

Of course, I understand other factors may have been involved but are large percentage shows in is usually the driver's fault, unless the parents are drunk while driving...

Back to my previous point, What the hell are your parents doing? I bet they would lose it when they find out YOU'RE bringing someone like Kris, no not Kris [he's mine], Someone like ZELO, to your bedroom. Tut tut.
