It had been days since Yunjin came into his office. He was worried if she would come again and make a scene but lucky him, she didn’t. That made him less worried. Not that he had anything to hide from Eunbi but after Eunbi asked him to have a talk with Yunjin regarding this, he hesitated to. It didn’t sound like a good idea from his point of view. He sighed before leaning back against his chair and closed his eyes.

 

“Are you okay?”

 

Minju closed the door behind her and pulled out a chair for herself. She sat down while watching her friend seem in deep trouble.

 

“I’m fine.”

 

He still had his eyes closed and from the look of his face, Minju kind of knew what he was thinking about.

 

“Is this about Yunjin?”

 

She heard his faint sigh.

 

“You do realize that you’re worrying about the wrong person, right?”

 

“What do you mean?”

 

That had his attention. Minju crossed her arms in front of her chest and her right leg on top of her left.

 

“Shouldn’t you be worrying about Eunbi, YOUR WIFE?”

 

She stressed the word ‘wife’.

 

“You don’t understand, Minju.”

 

“Please do enlighten me, Kkura.”

 

Sakura opened his eyes and stared back at her.

 

“She cried when she left my office. I’d hurt her. This wasn’t her fault.”

 

“It was Eunbi’s?”

 

“NO!”

 

“Then? I don’t get you. You’re married to Eunbi but here you are worrying about your ex-girlfriend.”

 

“I told you that you wouldn’t understand. She had done nothing, but she became a victim. It is my fault, Minju.”

 

Minju gave him a look that he knew she wasn’t happy with his explanation. What else could he do?

 

“Sakura, break up happened every day.”

 

He shifted his gaze elsewhere and at that moment, Minju realized what was going on.

 

“You didn’t break up with her before you got married to Eunbi?”

 

When he didn’t answer her, Minju stood up and slammed her hand on his table with eyes already sending daggers of glare.

 

“You’re such a jerk, Sakura.”

 

“I tried to, okay! I did! She was… so… persistent…”

 

“Oh my god…”

 

“Why are you panicking?”

 

“I just let my best friend married a jerk who happened to be my boss!”

 

“Hey, I love her, okay. I’m ending things with Yunjin.”

 

Minju grabbed a hold of his pens and pointed at him. He gulped when he saw the burning desire, she had to stab him with those innocent pens.

 

“M-Minju…”

 

“End things with her or I’ll stab you with this and let you bleed to death. Trust me, Miyawaki you wouldn’t like this.”

 

He watched as Minju turned around and walked away. But before she left, her words scared him even more.

 

“Or I’ll cut your balls and feed it to dogs.”

Chaewon hummed happily while riding the elevator. He had a lunch date with Minju, and he couldn’t help but grinned so much. Some passersby watched him and whispered among them. They knew Chaewon was dating Minju but sometimes they wondered why Minju was attracted to this guy. Other than being rich, he was such a dork. Chaewon noticed people were talking about him, but he was way so happy to even think about it. He only had Minju in his mind.

 

“Morning, Mr. Kim. Are you here for Mr. Miyawaki?”

 

Hitomi, Sakura’s own secretary asked him. He shook his head.

 

“Nah, I’m not here for him.”

 

“Ah, you must be here for Ms. Kim. She’s in her room.”

 

“I know. Thanks, Hitomi!”

 

Chaewon partly screamed the last part. Hitomi just chuckled. She thought Chaewon was cute and Minju and him really matched each other.

 

“Minju!”

 

Chaewon’s arms wide open the moment he stepped in only to see an angry woman was glaring at him. He gulped.

 

“Okay, who made my Minju so upset?”

 

Minju stood and hugged Chaewon while whining with her face on his chest. He had no idea what she was ranting about since her voice muffled with his chest.

 

“Err, Minju? I can’t really hear you.”

 

Minju slightly pulled away and looked upwards. Chaewon felt his leg shaking when Minju had those puppy eyes on him. She was already using her secret weapon against him.

 

“Ow, what’s wrong, honey?”

 

“It’s Kkura…”

 

“Okay, what did Sakura do to you?”

 

“Chaewon ah…”

 

Oh, her cute aegyo. He was struggling standing while this cute girl whined in a cute way. Feeling he wouldn’t be able to stand for so long, he gently led her to the couch and sat down. Minju was still showing this cute side of her and if it wasn’t Sakura’s office, he would have pounced on her. Thank God for his supreme resisting.

 

“Sakura is a jerk…”

 

“Baby, I told you before. Why are you still working for him? I know he’s my best friend, but you can work with me and imagine all the things we can do on our free time.”

 

Minju saw that smirk he obviously tried to hide. She slapped his chest earning a groan from Chaewon. She pulled away and glared at him.

 

“Yah, I’m just joking.”

 

She frowned and Chaewon just smiled while pulling her back into his arms.

 

“Okay, how about I take you to a fancy restaurant for our lunch date and maybe we can do something about this mood of yours. Deal?”

 

“But I’m comfortable here in your arms.”

 

That made him smile even more. There were a few things about Minju that other people don’t know about, but he knows it. For others, Minju is the independent woman whose dreams are larger than normal. Her hunger for success drove her to become the respected woman among shareholders. He liked it but sometimes he couldn’t help but like the cute and cuddly Minju more.
