| Lay’s POV |

 

 

It was getting late and Shinah still wasn't here yet.

We; Chanyeol, Me, Kris Hyung and Sehun were patiently waiting in the living room.

Sehun was walking back and forth.

I swear I will kill him if something happened to my girl.

Mark my words, you son of a b*tch. [censored]

Kris Hyung was biting his nails and tapping his foot on the floor.

Chanyeol was scrolling and trying to call Shinah on her phone but she was out of cell range.

Everyone, except for Ashley and Krystal were worried.

 

 

Another 30 minutes passed.

I stood up because I couldn't take it anymore, “I’ll go out and look for her.”

Kris Hyung and Chanyeol went out with me.

 

This search is going to be harder than I thought because first of all, it’s nearly 11 at night.

Second, we were in a foreign country.

Every move we made, we had to be careful because everything was unfamiliar.

And third, it was raining so hard.

We didn't know where to start.

 

 

We looked everywhere but Shinah was nowhere to be found.

Not until I saw a shadow of luggage under a light post.

I came over and saw Shinah, lying unconsciously on the ground.

I quickly picked her up, “Hyung! Hyung! I found her!” In just an instant, Kris Hyung and Chanyeol went over and checked on Shinah.

Chanyeol, who knew basic vital check-ups, checked her pulse and breathing, “She’s still breathing. She just passed out.”

“Let’s take her home.” Kris Hyung said and we went on.

 

 

We arrived at the pension house and quickly laid Shinah on her bed.

I went back at the living room and saw Kris Hyung punch Sehun, “Stop breaking her heart!”

I was moved.

I used to be silent but I never saw Kris Hyung could be as mad as this.

 

 

I went back at Shinah’s bedroom, held her hand and sat beside her.

I'm sorry if I was too late, Shinah.

Oppa didn’t mean it.

Tonight, I will stay by your side and watch you sleep.

I'm sorry if I wasn’t there when you needed me the most.

I'm sorry if I didn’t kept my promise.

But now, I will.

I will tug you with me wherever I go if I need to.

Shinah suddenly pulled my hands and furrowed her eyebrows.

She must be dreaming.

“Sehun-ssi….” She mumbled.

I leaned closer to hear whatever she will say.

“Jowahaeyo…” I felt my heart shatter into pieces.

I sighed and face palmed myself.

All this time…

It was still him, Shinah?

Why don’t you just love me?

 

 

| Shinah’s POV |

 

 

I woke up and found Yi Xing Oppa beside me firmly holding my hand.

I managed to get up without disturbing his precious sleep, “You’re awake now?”

Okay. I failed, “Nae, Oppa. You can sleep again. I’ll just go down and prepare our breakfast.”

“Okay. You don’t remember what happened last night?” He asked.

“Hmm. Not really~ All I remember is me standing at the light post.” I said.

Then, he told me everything.

I sighed, “That’s okay, Oppa. I'm actually used to how Sehun treats me.”

I went by the kitchen and prepared 2 bowls of cereal and 2 glasses of milk and put it in a tray.

 

 

I headed to Chanyeol’s room and knocked.

He opened the door with his bed hair and rubbing his eyes.

“Good morning, oppa.’ I greeted him and went in.

“How are you feeling now, Shinah?” he asked.

“Better. ^^ Here, Oppa. I prepared breakfast for you.” I said.

“Thank you.” He smiled.

“No, Oppa. Your welcome and thank you. I don’t know what I would've done if you, Yi Xing Oppa and Wu Fan didn’t come.” I said and hugged him.

He hugged back and caressed my back.

I broke the hug and smiled, “Eat now, Oppa. Enjoy your meal. ^^”

 

 

I went next to Wu Fan’s room

I took a very deep breath before knocking.

When I was about to knock, the door opened.

M eyes widened and saw Wu Fan opened it.

“Shinah?” He asked.

“Annyeong. ^^” I smiled and he let me in.

I placed the tray on his side table, “Boom, Thank you for the last night. I owe you so much.”

“That’s nothing.” He replied and smiled.

“You know, you should smile more often. Like what you usually do when I first saw you. It suits you well.” I shyly said.

“Okay.. If you say so.” He said, scratching the back of his neck and smiled again.

“Please eat your breakfast. I’ll get going now.” I said and left.

 

I went back at the kitchen and prepared another set of breakfast for Yi Xing Oppa.

On my way back at my room, I saw Sehun heading my way.

Gawsh. Why does this hallway have to be this small?

“Shinah..” He called me.

“What? If you’re going to ask if I’m okay after you left me with those bags and made me lost, I am okay. Don’t worry. And please. Just please. Let’s stop this slave thing. I am so tired. If seeing me bleeding makes you feel better, then you should be happier by now.” I said and walked away.

 

I went to my room and saw Yi Xing Oppa standing by the window.

“Oppa, here’s your breakfast.” I said.

“Shinah.. Let’s break up..” He suddenly said.

I felt my knees trembling the moment he said that.

“Have I done something wrong, Oppa?” I nervously asked.

“N.. Nothing..I just thought that everything happened so fast. “ he replied.

“But.. Y-You promised that you’ll ever leave me. You promised that you’ll always be there for me.” I said, tears forming on my eyes.

“I know. And I will keep that promise. I will never leave you. I will always be there by your side. As a friend…  You know that I love, right? And I will always do. But someone deserves you more that I do. And I know you’ll be happy with him.” He said.

“I-I don’t understand you oppa.” I said.

He walked closely to me and held my arms, “You will understand. And I have a late gift for you..” He said.

“What is that?” I asked, crying.

“Your friend Sam..” He said.

“You know him? How did you?...” I asked.

“Minhyuk-ssi told me. I found him. I know that you miss him. He’s waiting for you.. in the room next door.” He said.

I furrowed my eyebrows, “What?”

“Chanyeol… He misses you.. I never knew that you were the Max that he always talked about.” He said.

“Oppa… I don’t know.. Thank you, oppa.” I hugged him and ran out of my room.

 

 

I saw Chanyeol’s room opened so I barged inside.

I quickly hugged him and cried.

Regardless that there are other people in his room right now.

All I want to do is hug him.

“Shinah… Are you alright?” He asked.

“I am.. I am so happy.. Sam.. I miss you.” I said between my sobs.

“You’re…. Max?”
