Things have changed and will always change.

It has been a month since the whole fiasco. A lot of things have changed since then. The season changes to summer. A lot has happened over the course of that month. Good things and bad things. Mostly it was bad things.

A week after it happened, Ilhoon’s funeral was held. Different kinds of people attended, friends, family, acquaintances, and more. This results in a toll on the mental health of the whole family. At least he still has a funeral; the other one who died in this situation does not, probably because his family does not want it or maybe because he’s still alive. Who knows? Only him. Only Jungkook knows whether he is alive or dead. He knows.

The incident took a toll on the mental health of the Kims. Those who were present at the event refused to talk about it until they were okay, which took a lot of weeks to happen. Both Yeeun and Yeri weren’t able to attend the funeral because they locked themselves in their rooms, although Yeeun did appear at the last minute. Mark was also unable to attend because he still couldn't move. He has spent a month in the hospital.

It messes him up. He wasn’t able to do things that he used to. He wasn’t also able to go to school, which was unfortunate since he was vying for the first rank. He was forced to take an exam while hospitalized, so that he won’t be able to repeat a year or a semester. This also happened to Yeri.

The toll of killing two persons, a cousin dying due to their negligence, another cousin being paralyzed possibly for the rest of his lives, friends and cousins being traumatized, a loved one hospitalized, and a friend betraying her would absolutely devastate anyone. Nevertheless, she still managed to live. She is still living, yet barely breathing. It is hard to live, but she still does it.

Like Mark, and the rest who were involved in this storm, she also missed her class. She didn’t go to her classes for the rest of the semester, which is actually only a month left. She still took her exams despite being in that condition, which shows how the school doesn't really care for the mental health of the student. She took it at home, so it made her comfortable even just for a bit. She didn’t study, so she barely passed. Actually she failed the second semester; it was just her high grades from her first semester which carried her away from the risk of repeating.

Being locked inside her house for over a month changed her. She tries to be happy, distract herself from what has happened. She fails. It is unavoidable. It will chase you even if you sleep.

Many would try to get her out of the house, they all failed. First, her parents, and then her brother. Sooyoung, Seungwan, and Seulgi also visited her, yet they didn’t manage to make her smile. The next time they visited, Joohyun went with them, just recovering from all the stress, yet it was enough to make her happy. Her cousins also visited her, friends from school also did it, even some of Jaehyun’s club mates, yet she’s still stuck.

She hasn’t gone out in her house for a month. She still hasn’t visited Mark in the hospital. She doesn’t know what happened to Seonghwa and Jaehyun. She doesn’t know what happened to her brother. She didn’t just physically and emotionally distance herself from people, but she also distanced herself from the information, including the folder which contains the information worth dying for.

That folder now belongs to Aeri. Like the others, she was traumatized by the incident. It took her two weeks to get out of her house, to touch some grass. During that whole time, all she did was thinking and reflecting back on the tragedies she encountered over the past month. First, was the event with Minjeong. It has been a long time since she last saw or talked to her. She hasn’t met her in the campaign, only Jimin was present. She dodges all of her friends’ questions when asked about what happened. She distances herself to them.

Now, she’s back. With that bag full of information relating to the organization, she could put an end to the organization once and for all. She could put an end to the very thing which destroyed the sanity of her friend. It wasn’t Yeri’s fault that Minjeong became like this. She just showed her the truth. It was a little late when Aeri understood it. She aspires to repair their friendship by bringing the organization down. Now she has the power to do it.

This is why most of the members of the organization backed out, trying to cut the ties between them and the organization. All along they thought that nothing had been stolen from them, until Seonghwa told them.

Seonghwa ran out of bullets, and he attempted to escape. That’s when Junmyeon and the police show up. Very late. He was caught, and then put inside a hospital. Baekhyun was the only one who testified against him, since the others are not well to do it. Since he works in the hospital, he was used to seeing people dying in front of him. This case was worse than what he previously encountered. His experiences helped lessen the pain this brought, so he was the only one who was able to do it. If not him, then who can? No one, that’s why he willed himself to do it. Thanks to him, Seonghwa would be put on trial five weeks after it happened.

He was caught. It was the end for him. He did this because he was betrayed by the only persons he trusts. He did this to avenge his brother’s death. Does he deserve this? In the end, he was also a victim. A victim who was forced to become a villain in order to achieve his goals. That’s why his organization chose to rescue him.

Before the fall of the organization, about a week since the event happened, he was in the hospital. He was placed under heavy surveillance, with policemen guarding his door 24/7. Despite being heavily guarded, he was still rescued. His two teammates, Yunho and Wooyoung pretended to be police and aided him to escape.

“What the hell are you doing?” He asked.

“You’re still going to pay us for leaking information.” Yunho replied.

“You could’ve just let me serve my sentence in prison.”

“That’s not what the boss wants. He wants to see you.”

“What for?”

“To thank you. You were able to kill Ilhoon, the guy who can leak our infos anytime soon. You also did emotional damage to the enemy.”

“You task failed successfully.” Wooyoung snickered.

“So, he wants to thank me?” Seonghwa asked.

“Are you deaf? Yunho said it earlier.”

“I wonder if he’s going to thank me again after this.”

“After what?”

“Have you counted all of the stolen things?”

“Yeah we did, why?”

“So you didn’t find any discrepancy in the items.”

“Nope.”

“How about I’m going to tell you that I saw Yeri’s friend clutching a bag.”

“The contents of the bag were displaced while you guys were running. We collected all of it, and that’s how we decided that it was useless chasing you all.” Yunho replied.

“The bag contains the folder which has the information of everyone involved. ”

“What are you talking about?”

“The bag was opened, that's why the contents are misplaced, and that’s how I saw it.”

“You’re lying.”

“If I were you, I would cut my ties relating to the organization.” He said as he jumped off the running car.

“Are you insane?!” Wooyoung shouted, then stopped the car. They were in the middle of the countryside, so luckily no one saw them.

“Yes I am. Tell your boss I won’t be returning to you. I literally betrayed the whole organization. I don’t know why you still kept chasing me. It’s a toxic relationship that only benefits me. I’ll also enjoy my life here by farming. If I were you I wouldn't return. Now get away now while you still can. They’ll chase you.”

That’s probably the last time anyone from the isles saw Seonghwa.

Indeed what he said was found out to be true. After Wooyoung and Yunho arrived there, they asked for a recount in the stolen things. It was indeed missing. That’s when his theory became put into action. Since the members were leaked, every family cut their ties from the org. Until, only the Kims were left. They were the ones who started this. It is up to them to end it.

Aeri’s plan on how to destroy the organization wasn’t exactly right. She is right that the organization would elect new leaders if something happened to their top members. She theorized that the right thing to do was to make the new leader their friend. She planned on doing that to Minjeong, but it backfired. What she didn’t foresee was the mass hysteria caused by the folder. The Kims of the org have legal power which could help them in case they were exposed. The problem was their members. As soon as it was discovered that an important document was stolen, they began to panic. Their panic overpowered the Kim family’s legal assurance. Who knew that a mass hysteria could destroy a whole organization?

Mark was the one who planned this assault, didn’t intend to cause the mass hysteria. He planned to collect all evidence that would make his enemy’s lawyers hopeless. The members of the org weren’t put into jail. They just disbanded. The task failed successfully.

There was one; however, who attempted to combat the organization’s legal team. A week after Ilhoon's burial, he decided to find his father. Yeeun went with him since she wants to stay away from the isles for the meantime. She needs fresh air amidst chaos. It took them three days to find his father. Of course, he was shocked when he saw his son again. He barely recognized him. When Hyunggu recounted his experiences, his father urged him to file a criminal case against the organization.

Unfortunately he failed. The legal team is still too strong to combat after all. His case was dismissed due to lack of evidence. The only evidence was the folder Yeri retrieved, but it only contained the members of the organization and information related to them. It didn’t contain the records of abuse Hyunggu has been talking about.

Of course he won’t give up. They won’t give up. Today is not yet the right time, but someday in the future, they will win.

Through all this fiasco, Yeeun is with him. She has been with him since he escaped, since his memories returned, and since that incident. They both needed rest. Hyunggu decided to stay in the mainland with his father. He was not the only one who decided to stay. Yeeun did too. The isles only brought her traumatic memories. She needs to breathe fresh air. She decided to drop out of her university. It was just a waste of time for her. She rarely goes to her classes, so why not just stop schooling?

Now, she is free to do whatever she wants, she could enroll in a class again, but the best thing was she could be with Hyunggu. They are free in the mainland. Back in the isles, Hyunggu wasn’t able to leave her house, now they could explore the rest of the world together.

Would two broken hearts form to become one? Would it benefit the both of them? Or should they fix themselves first before trying to fix the other? Or what if they’ll help fix each other? Who knows?

They say double negatives equal to positives; will it be the case for them? Or what if the double negatives theory is wrong? What if adding a negative to another negative would result to more negatives? Who knows?

It is up to them to keep what they had between them afloat. It is up to them to do whatever they want. Whatever it is, it would be right to wish them the best.

It is also right to wish for the best for Hayi and BI as they left on a search for Jonghyun. He was already awake. It’s been two months since he opened his eyes. He was awake before the whole fiasco happen. He was awake before Yeri learned the truth. Yet, he kept it hidden from everyone. It was for his safety.

As soon as the news spread that he was awake, his life and other’s lives could be in danger. He got a lot of
