“Hyunggu!” Yeeun screamed as she tried to catch him.

Jaehyun assisted her in carrying Hyunngu to the sofa.

“What are we going to do?” Yeeun asked.

“Let me check if someone’s out there.” Yeri volunteered.

“Wait. We cannot trust the adults.” Yeeun stopped her.

“We are also adults.”

“No, I mean our parents.”

“Why? They might turn over Hyunggu to the police.”

“I thought you wanted to turn him over earlier?”

“I changed my mind. He will be punished for his crimes plus we can’t trust them. They might call the reporters on this and we may be involved with the organization.”

“Okay fair enough.” Yeri said as she went outside to find someone.

Where should I go? Most of my cousins were still at the party. Maybe except for those who aren’t in the mood for socializing? Wait, Hayi unnie’s car is still parked in front of her house. Maybe she’s there.

“Hayi unnie is home.”

“Are you sure? You just went outside.”

“If I check on her house it will take a lot of time.”

“And we are going to gamble on this by carrying Hyunggu to her house?”

“Yes we will. Trust me.”

“You’re like one of those kids on Twitter whose source is ‘dude trust me’. Anyway Jaehyun helped me carry him.”

They went to Hayi’s house. It is a good thing that there are no cameras inside the subdivision, only outside of it. When they entered the house, the lights were all open.

“I’m right she’s in there.”

“Why does the house look empty?” Jaehyun asked.

“Stay right here. Put him first on the sofa.

Yeri looked for the whole house. She feels uncomfortable doing this, but she has to. She gave up when the first floor was empty.

“Why don’t we try calling her?” She asked.

“Right, why didn’t we think about this earlier?”

Yeeun began calling her phone. They heard a phone ring somewhere, yet they can’t pinpoint the exact location.

“Wait, it is coming from below.”

As soon as he said that the phone ring was turned off.

“She ignored our call, but why?”

“Yeeun do you know if there is a basement here or something?” He asked.

“As far as I remember, there is none.”

Yeri tapped the floor.

“It is hollow. The other parts aren’t. The basement must be another living room only.”

The three were so busy finding the switch that they didn’t notice Hyunggu fell down the floor.

“.” Yeri cursed.

The other two carried Hyunggu while Yeri saw something on the floor.

“I found the switch.”

She pressed on it, but nothing happened.

“I think this might be a fake one.”

“Wait, this is not a switch.” Yeeun said as she removed something from it.

She removed the upper covering and it revealed a keyhole.

“What’s with her basement that is so secured?” Yeri asked.

“I don’t know, probably private inventions and stuff.”

BI probably uses this way to enter her lab for repairs. Come to think of it, BI is always faulty.

Yeeun grabbed something from her pocket. Yeri recognized it as a lock picking toolkit

“Why did you have one in your pocket?” Jaehyun asked.

“I have had this since I was thirteen or fourteen I think. When I was transferred to my mother’s custody, I bought a lock pick for safety purposes. It turns out that it is especially useful when my mother grounded me for a week.”

I don’t know how to react to that.

After several turns, the lock clicked. They waited for something to happen, yet nothing did.

“Now what are we going to do?” Yeri asked.

“I think we should give up and carry him back to Yeeun’s house.”

As Jaehyun carried him, he accidentally stepped on that fake button earlier. It turns out that it is a real button. The floor acted as an open elevator.

“Get in.” Jaehyun told them.

Luckily, there is enough room for the four of them. When the elevator came down they were greeted by a surprise.

“What the ?!” Yeeun and Hayi screamed in unison.

As much as I don’t want to curse, maybe I’ll give myself a curse pass today. Like what the am I seeing?

To Hayi, she is surprised to see them come into her lab with an unconscious man. To the rest of them, they were shocked to see BI and Hayi back hugging, and him showing emotions by being shocked.

Silence passed between them. Nobody wants to speak first, except for Yeri.

“What the actual is happening?”

“Why are you here? And who’s that?” Hayi responded to her.

“Why is BI hugging you unnie?”

“Who the hell is that?”

“Everyone let’s calm the hell down.” Jaehyun entered their conversation.

“Please explain first.” Hayi requested.

“Fine. Hayi unnie, meet Hyunngu. Hyunggu, meet Hayi unnie. Unfortunately he can’t respond yet since he is unconscious. Can we please put him down on the sofa where the two of you are hugging? My hands are about to give up.”

“Please do.”

Jaehyun and Yeeun proceeded to put Hyunggu down on the sofa.

“Can you explain to me clearer as to who the hell is he?”

Can’t we ask you first unnie? BI looks super embarrassed right now. I know robots can’t feel emotions.

“Okay I’ll answer your question. Like I said, his name is Hyunggu, Kang Hyunggu. I accidentally ran over to him, and I don’t want to be charged with homicide.”

“Is that the real reason?”

“Fine. He is well actually. I almost drove into him, but he is unhurt. Brought him home because he is an old friend of mine.”

“I see. Now, why don’t you return him to his family? Oh wait, I don’t recognize his face.”

“That’s right. Let’s just say. He lived here before, but suddenly disappeared until his records vanished and voila he just appeared out of nowhere.”

“What’s his middle name again? He is a Kang right? Now I get it.”

“Hey, we need to treat Hyunggu first.” Yeri reminded me.

“Oh so that’s why you are here? You don’t know how to treat an unconscious person?”

“We aren’t in the medical field.” Yeeun replied to her.

“Me too, but luckily I learned a thing about it.”

Hayi leaned over Hyunggu’s unconscious body.”

“He’s still breathing. It is fine. What is the cause of this?”

“I don’t know. That happened when I mentioned my name. He just fainted.”

“What? Your name causes him to faint?”

“Like I said, I still don’t know whether that’s the real reason or not. It may also be from fatigue or starvation. He complained earlier that he is hungry.”

“And you didn’t feed him?”

“Not until I get all the information I need from him.”

“How selfish of you.”

Hayi then opened one of the drawers in the cabinet and got herself a syringe. She then went to Hyunggu then injected it on him.

“He is probably low on glucose that’s why he fainted.”

“Why do you have that in your cabinet?”

“I like to starve myself in order to do well in my research, so when I feel like I’m fainting, I inject myself.”

“You’re crazy. Anyway, when will he wake up?

“Probably around this morning.”

“It is evening. It is already eleven.”

“Oh I forgot. Anyway it is possible that he will wake up either today or tomorrow.”

“Okay now that we answered all your questions already, can we ask you one?”

“Do I look like someone with a choice? You don’t need to ask. I’ll answer it. He’s a human.”

“We already know.”

“You don’t even have the need to ask me.”

“Yeri go ask him then.”

Why me?

“Fine. BI who are you?”

“My real name is Kim Hanbin.”

“That’s it?”

“Yeah.”

“How about the other details, like where you are from or why the hell are you here, why are you pretending to be a robot, and what the hell is that hug I saw earlier?”

“Wow, she’s angry.” Jaehyun commented which made Yeeun scoff.

“Someone asked me to make him pretend to be a robot.” Hayi replied seeing that BI is overwhelmed by Yeri’s questions.

“Who was it?”

“I am not allowed to tell you.”

“Are you a member of that organization perhaps?”

“What organization? As far as I remember I only joined Science clubs and such.”

“We will talk about that organization when Hyunggu wakes up. Anyway, who sent him?”

“Someone who’s dead.”

“Are you kidding me?”

“Of course not. We have a lie detector here. Do you wanna try?”

They did the lie detector test and Hayi is proven to be speaking the truth.

“See?”

“How can a dead person rise from the ground and send this guy to be a robot, and how did you even agree to it?”

“You know what a will and testament is right?”

“Of course, so whose testament is it?”

“Kim Jonghyun.”

“That name is familiar.”

“Of course it is. He is a cousin of yours on your / mother's side. Oh wait, it isn’t your cousin. It is the cousin of the dead girl.”

Jaehyun became furious which made me walk towards Hayi. Yeri noticed him so she stopped him.

“Don’t.”

“For some reason, I am entertained by this.” Hayi said.

“Okay you can punch her.”

“I don't actually have plans to punch her actually. I just want to scream at her. Why are you bringing her up?!”

That was a scream?

“It doesn’t sound too loud actually. I am restraining myself.”

“Anyway how did you agree to the dead man’s will which is really odd actually, unless he is alive or someone other than him is behind this.”

“This was for information. I do believe that it is odd, but I really want to have that information.”

“Information about?”

“What happened years ago?”

“Okay, now what do you know?”

“Why are you involving yourself in this? You’re not even from here.”

“Jaehyun, can you scream at her once again.”

“Okay I'll take it back.”

“I don’t understand that you are baited by information about a thing which happened in the past.”

“What about your history lessons then? You are baited to learn about the information from the past for your grades right?”

“So someone required you to get this information?”

“That someone is I. Curiosity kills, you know?”

“I see. How about you let him stay here until he recovers? Maybe when he wakes up, he will give you information.” Yeeun challenged her

“So you are asking me to shelter him?”

“Yeah that’s right. You want information right?”

“Why don’t you shelter him at your own house?”

“You have a secret basement. I don’t have one.”

“And my parents knew about my basement so it’s not so secret. You should shelter him since he’s your friend? Friendship is magic right?”

“Don’t you want information?”

“Are you trying to blackmail me?”

“Yes I am. How about this?  Just shelter him for the night or two until I could find him a place to hide.”

“How big of a deal is this information anyway?”

“This is related to what happened years ago.”

“Okay you got me. I’ll let him live here until Sunday. It’s Friday right? You got two days to build something in your house. Maybe a bunker or something.”

“Deal. We just have to wait until he wakes up to tell us som
