Ji Hoon stood up. With hands in pocket, he locked his eyes on his older friend, "Maybe you're right.. that my relationship with Ji Hyo is nothing much than a silly fantasy. It's the closest that I can get to receive her love and affection. But to undo the spell.. that's something I can't do,  hyung. It's all up to her.."

"What do you mean?" Jong Kook asked. He began to assume that the younger man was refusing to let go of Ji Hyo as per his request. Ji Hoon already made it clear about marrying Ji Hyo, so without a doubt he would not easily giving up everything that he had worked for.

Ji Hoon took a few steps away from the table before turning his head and said, "The spell will wear off by itself.. when Ji Hyo's heart is no longer mine. That's all I can tell you for now." Then he faced forward and whispered to himself, "May the best man wins." Ji Hoon walked out from the bar alone - leaving Jong Kook to ponder upon his words.

Early in the morning, So Min was ready to head down to the same bookstore that she went with Ji Hyo previously. Only this time, she went alone. However as she arrived at the main entrance of the bookstore, there was a 'closed' sign hung on the glass door. "Aigoo.. what a waste of.." as she was babbling to herself, someone called her name. She turned around and a smile appeared on her face, "I know you. You're Ji Hyo's ex-boyfriend.. right? What's your name again?"

"Jong Kook, but you can call me oppa too if you want," his eyes were getting smaller as he smiled. Assuming that the man is looking for her friend Ji Hyo, So Min casually said, "She's not with me today. Not feeling well.. so she chose to stay in bed."

Hearing that Ji Hyo was sick made him worried, "Is she okay? Has she gone to see a doctor?"

So Min giggled, "Omo oppa.. you really concerned about her. Geokjongma, she should be fine after sleeping for couple of hours."

"That's good to know," Jong Kook felt relieved. He moved on to inform So Min about his real intent, "Actually I wanted to see you.. alone. Do you have a moment? Maybe we can go for a cup of coffee or something?"

So Min was surprised, "Me? Jinjja?"

When Jong Kook confirmed that he was asking her out, So Min agreed and followed him towards a nearby cafe. They found a table for two at a quiet corner of the cafe and ordered drinks for themselves. While waiting to be served, Jong Kook started their conversation, "Thank you for accepting my invitation. I was hoping that you could help me with something.. on Ji Hyo."

"I knew it! Silly me.. I thought you were interested in me when you.. never mind, let's just forget it. So what do you want to know?" So Min was embarrassed as she got the wrong impression about Jong Kook's intent. They had to pause their conversation for a while as the waitress served their drinks. After the waitress left, Jong Kook answered, "I want to meet her again, So Min.. but I'm not sure how. I don't have her latest number or home address. Can you help me with that?"

So Min was slightly reluctant, "It's not that I don't want to help you, oppa.. but I have to seek permission from Ji Hyo first. Also, she's going to marry Ji Hoon soon. Do you think it's the right time to get in touch with her?"
