We found out last Friday that I was exactly twelve weeks along, which means we conceived either in Vegas or within those first few days after we got back to Los Angeles.

Good lord who gets pregnant within the first weeks after getting married. Me that’s who…… “Do you want to know the ?” The ultrasound tech Kyle asked. He recognized Jason and rolled out the red carpet for us. I looked at Jason and his grin threatened to split his face in half. “Do you?” He asked. “Whatever you want babe I want if you say yes, it’s yes if you want to wait we can do that too.” He says rubbing my knuckles. ‘We literally just found out we’re pregnant do we haven’t even had a chance to fully digest it yet, I think we should wait.” “Can we find out on our next appointment?” I look at the technician and he smile warmly at me. “Of course, you have a good 7 months to decide what to do.” “Do people still wait until the birth to find out these days?” “With all the technology it makes me wonder.” I say. “Yeah, surprisingly a lot of people still wait to find out." "You’d think with the trend of gender reveal parties and what not that everyone would be finding out the of their child ahead of time, but no some people like to still be surprised.” “I think I am leaning toward being surprised myself but who knows how I’ll feel in a month.” “Exactly that is why you can take your time, talk it out decide together what it best for your family.” “But on that note, everything looks great, the fetus is doing great, he or she has a strong heartbeat and so far everything is perfect.” Kyle said smiling at Jason and me. “Great, hey man thanks for everything.” Jason says shaking his hand. “No problem and it’s a pleasure to meet you both.” He says wiping the gel off my stomach and pulling down my shirt. I sit up and put my feet on the side of the exam table ready to hop down.   “Can I ask for a picture before you guys leave?” He asks holding up his phone and smiling shyly. “Of course,” Jason says posing for a couple of pictures with Kyle. Kyle looks at his phone grinning thanking Jason while shaking his hand. I chuckle and he comes over. He grabs my waist and helps me down smothering me with kisses. I giggle like a schoolgirl and wrap my arms his neck. He looks down into my eyes and my breath catches he is so freaking gorgeous. How in the world did I get so lucky?   My mom came home a few days ago and I haven’t lifted a finger to do anything… Literally… She won’t even let me cut up a flipping onion! “Really mom? I can help you cut up seasonings for goodness sakes!” I say aggravated.
