The Next Day:

I awaken with a start, burning up hot.

I open my eyes trying to focus on my surroundings for a minute I have forgotten I am in my bedroom.

Dang I need glasses I can’t see crap man.

I try to move and realize I am pinned under something heavy.

I grunt trying to free myself. What in the world?

I move the comforter to see what I am entangled in and I see Jason’s sleeping face!

Oh my God!! When did he get in my bed?

I look at him again and scratch my head I vaguely remember him getting in bed early this morning and talking to me.

Dang I must’ve been sick as ever to forget that.

I look at him he is so gorgeous! Oh my God I cannot right now!!

I brush my leg against his and goosebumps break out all over my body Jesus help me!

I look around the room, the sun is playing peek a boo through my curtains.

I see Lainey and Chris sleeping on huge pile of blankets and pillows at the foot of my bed.

I cough loudly and cover my mouth hoping I didn’t wake up anyone.

Jason sits up with a start “Are you ok?” He asks concern written all over his face.

“Yes, I am good in fact I am perfect thanks to you go back to sleep.”

I try to push him back down on the bed and he grabs my arm pulling me with him.

I have an internal mini freak out when I land right on his chest.

I look up at him and immediately slap my hand over my mouth because my morning breath is no joke!

I try to sit up again “No don’t move.” He says quietly pulling me back down.

My ponytail slaps him in the face, and he chuckles taking it in his fingers twirling it.

“Your hair is so soft it is like spun silk.” I look at him and roll my eyes.

“What?” He laughs.

“And why are you covering your mouth you look like a weirdo.” He laughs.

“Well excuse me for trying to spare you the horror of my morning breath.” I say through my fingers.

He roars with laughter at that his eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Shush Lainey and Chris are still sleeping.” I say pointing to the foot of the bed.

“Be quiet you goof!” I say playfully sitting up preparing to get off the bed.

I scoff dramatically.

“Unless halitosis is your thing, I really need to brush my grill mmkay.” I sass.

“Hurry back I was warm until you moved.”

“So sorry to disturb your sleep your royal butthead.” I say sarcastically and he slaps my . It is so hard it echoes across the room.

“Ouch!” I yell and cover my mouth looking to see if I woke up Lainey and Chris.

I jump on the bed and punch him in the arm as hard as I can.

He yelps “Ouch that hurts Dang girl you hit like a three hundred pound linebacker!”

“I forgot how strong you are, those kickboxing classes got you thinking you’re bad huh?”
