Although Mt Halla is part of Jeju Island, it enjoys its own unique weather. Unlike Jeju City and Seogwipo City, which generally are fair, up on the mountain, we could experience sudden rain or fog with little warning. In winter, this translates to a lot of snow and ice. In fact, the top of the Mt Halla is blanketed with snow throughout winter. 

Kyuhyun's villa, which was at the base of Gwaneumsa Trail, received the same treatment. The weather was very chilling and there were snow falling on most of the days.

"It's so beautiful! Like a fairy land!" Bunny said happily, looking out from the living room window in the morning, after a whole night of snowing.

"That's why we have to close the trail in winter, because of the snow and it will be too slippery to hike" Kyuhyun said walking from his study room.

"Will there still be hikers who didn't care that the trail is closed?"
Bunny asked curiously.

"Yes, believe it or not, there are! We ever get emergency calls to rescue hikers stuck in the cold, and last winter there was this guy who sent SOS signal because he couldn't continue his journey and we have to use helicopter to rescue him in the middle of snow-covered slope"

"Oh my...." Bunny shook her head in disbelief, and added "You were the one who rescued him?"

"I was in the helicopter but Minho was the one who went down to tie that guy up and we pull him up" Kyuhyun said, standing behind her and hugged her. "Want to go out and stroll in the snow?" 

"Oh yes I want!!!" Bunny exclaimed happily. Back at halmeoni's house, it hardly snowed, though the temperature did drop to negative sometimes. 

Kyuhyun laughed at her cuteness "Wait here, I'll get our winter coats, mufflers, gloves and boots" 

Kyuhyun came back with their coats and everything, and help Bunny to put on her coat "Kyu, what time is your hospital duty later?" 

"3pm. Why..? I'll be back by 11pm, so you go to bed first okay" Kyuhyun told her while wrapping her muffler around her neck. He kissed her and then put on her gloves. 

"After I cook dinner, I want to bake cookies, so I can wait for you at the same time" Bunny smile at him. 

"Hmmm, okay, so I get to eat cookies tonight!" Kyuhyun laughed. He held Bunny's hand and opened his front door. The cold wind coming from the river hit their faces immediately. 

"Woww... it's cold... but so fresh!! Kyu, want to check our net first?" Bunny said excitedly. 

"Yeah, let's check. The river is ice cold but strangely, anchovies still survive and ended up in our net!! Hopefully we have a good catch today!!" Kyuhyun said holding her hand and walked on the boardwalk towards the river. 

"Careful Kyu" Bunny said when Kyuhyun bent down to retrieve the net basket. True enough, their basket were full of anchovies. Bunny clapped her hands happily because she loved to cook anchovies with beansprouts which she grew herself at their kitchen window seal. The beansprouts were fresh and crunchy and the anchovies were tasty, so both of them never got tired of eating them. 

Kyuhyun poured the anchovies into his iced dry box, and left it in the kitchen, and re-joined Bunny at their porch. "Let's go" he smile and held Bunny's hand. 

They took lots of photos together with the snowy winter wonderland background and Bunny felt so surreal. Mount Halla and its surroundings were so beautiful in winter and she felt thankful that she was here in this beautiful place. 

She hugged Kyuhyun.  "Thank you for saving me and because of you, I get to see this beautiful place!" 

Kyuhyun chuckled and hugged her tighter "My lovely Bunny, thank you for coming into my life! You are my source of happiness and you bring endless joy and luck into my life. You are truly a precious gem to me! I love youuuu" 

Bunny smile sweetly "I love you too!" and she felt fresh snow flakes on her face. "Ohhh look, it's snowing!!" 

Kyuhyun looked up too "Yeah, it's beautiful isn't it?" and they continued walking hand in hand, and ended up playing with snow and throwing snow balls at each other! 

"Bunny, the snow is getting heavier. Let's head back to the villa" Kyuhyun told her. The last thing he want was for her to catch a cold. 

"Ohh okay, let's go" Bunny cleared her gloves from snow and ran to Kyuhyun. 

They barely started walking a few metres when suddenly there were strong winds and more snow flakes hit them. 

Kyuhyun pulled her nearer to him and shouted "It's snow blizzard. Let's hurry back" and they practically run through the thick snow. 

Kyuhyun lead the way pulling Bunny along. But a tree branch with heavy snow broke and hit Bunny. She screamed due to surprise and Kyuhyun was alarmed and jolted to a stop, and quickly checked whether Bunny was injured. 

"Bunny, you are hurt!" he asked with alarm, after seeing some blood trickled down on her temple below her beanie. 

"I'm okay, it's just that I was surprised when the branch hit me and poke the side of my head" she said, pulling her handkerchief from her inner cardigan pocket. 

Kyuhyun took her handkerchief and dabbed at the cuts on her temple. The strong wind hit them again and Kyuhyun hurriedly surveyed the distance to his villa. "Bunny, I'll piggyback you. We have to hurry back because it's not safe to be in a snow blizzard".

"I can run, Kyu..." 

"No, I'll piggyback you, come..." and Kyuhyun lowered his back so that Bunny could climb on to him and held onto his shoulder. "Hold tight okay" he shouted and started walking faster. 

Though Bunny was light, but the thick snow and the strong wind slowed down Kyuhyun's steps. When the villa outline came into view, he practically forced himself to run, and once they reached the porch, they scrambled in, breathing heavily, leaning against the door. 

"Oh my goodness!! I never expect there will be a snow blizzard!" Bunny said with surprise. "Thank you, Kyu, for piggybacking me. I must be heavy...." 

Kyuhyun's breathing stabilised down, and he shook his head. "You are so light! It was the thick snow ground and the strong winds that made me very difficult to run!" and as they were talking, they could hear the strong wind. "Bunny, you are still bleeding!! I'll get the first-aid box" Kyuhyun quickly removed their coats and mufflers, while Bunny removed her boots and gloves too. "Dab it and hold on to your handkerchief and sit at the sofa. I'll be right back!" and he dashed to his study room. 

Kyuhyun was quite concerned about Bunny's cuts. They seemed to be minor cuts, but at close inspection, the cuts ruptured some veins. He cleaned the wound and applied antiseptic cream, and wrapped a bandage around her temple. 

"I think you better rest tonight and don't do the cookies. I don't want you to get massive headache... " 

"I feel fine, but yeah, I do feel my right side of my head starts to throb" 

"That's because of the cuts and the bleeding. I'm so sorry love, I didn't expect the snow blizzard to happen..." 

"Kyu, it's not your fault. It's just something unfortunate. But it was a lovely walk. Maybe next time we should check the weather forecast first.." Bunny smile at him. 

"Let's eat lunch and you can take paracetamol to reduce the throbbing" Kyuhyun gently pulled her up and they went to the kitchen. After Bunny had scooped their rice, she put the beansprouts with anchovies on a big bowl, and also served the beefballs, and omelette, on the dining table. 

Kyuhyun kept the fresh anchovies that were in the dry-box into ziplock bags and kept them in the freezer.  "Bunny, if your head still hurts later, you can just steam the fish in the freezer, and I can eat with soy sauce when I'm back. So you don't have to cook other things" he said after washing his hands and sat down opposite Bunny. 

"I'll see how. I should be okay by then" Bunny said. "But Kyu, can the jeep go through since the path all covered by snow?" Bunny asked, putting omelette on Kyuhyun's bowl at the same time. 

"I think I have to plough some snow, but anyway yeah, the jeep should be able to go through. And I'll bring home some antiseptics solution tonight, and change your dressing once I'm back okay" Kyuhyun told her, and added with concerned "How do you feel now?" 

"A bit trobbing. But strange, I thought it's just small cuts from the fallen branches" 

"My guess is some sharp broken branches must have grafted through your temple skin and ruptured your small veins. Thank God your thick beannie helped to shield your head, or else your injuries might be worst. After taking the paracetamol and after I left for work, you try to take a nap, okay?" 

"Okayy" Bunny smile while finishing her rice. She loved how Kyuhyun always put her on priority and genuinely concerned about her. So different from Kangin. "Aishhh why am I suddenly thought of him. I can't even recalled how he looked like" Bunny dismissed the thought quickly.

Kyuhyun left for his work at the hospital only after he reminded Bunny to take a nap, and waited until she literally lying down! She rolled her eyes, and laughingly, Kyuhyun pecked her lips and waved goodbye.

Bunny did fall asleep as the paracetamol was very drowsy for her. When she woke up, it was already late evening and very dark, so she slowly got up to switch on the lights and to check the time. It was coming to 7pm. "Wow, I slept for 4 hours!" she said with surprised. She felt her face burning "Maybe the heater temperature is too high?" she told herself. She went out from her bedroom to switch on the lights and to check the heater. 

Today was the first day Kyuhyun started his duty at the hospital, after they had came back from Seoul a week ago.  She suddenly felt lonely without Kyuhyun since they had been spending time together since their trip to Seoul.

The heater temperature was normal, so she was wondering why her face felt hot. She walked to the bathroom to wash her face and that was when she saw her face. It was swollen! "Ohmygod! What happen?" 

She wiped her face carefully with a face towel and inspected her face again. She removed her bandaged and with a surprised, she saw the area around the cuts were bruised and the swelling were more around her right side of her face where the bruises were. "Maybe I slept on my right, that's why I applied pressure to it??" Bunny wondered.

She didn't know what to do. Should she call Kyuhyun...?
