Where Wendy forgot to defrost the meat

No One’s POV

It was another new day and another date day for Wendy and Irene. Today’s date was more casual, laid back and somehow a little bit playful but not as peaceful. Both of them had decided to hang out at Wendy’s house to play games and cuddle all day because what’s better than games and cuddles? None. Except for Irene’s competitive nature that results to her smacking Wendy every time she lost a battle. But oh well, nothing new

They have been playing Tekken for the past two hours and so far, no planning on stopping anytime soon.

“Hey that’s not fair!!” Irene whined

“Nothing’s fair in this battle Hyun” Wendy smugly replied

“You were trying to distract me!”

“It’s not my fault you got distracted by a peck on the cheek”

Wendy giggled when she saw her girlfriend pouting, almost threatening to throw the joystick to her face

“Another round” Irene demanded, picking up her joystick once more

“Why don’t we take that round to bed?” Wendy wiggled her eyebrows

“Oh hush it you”

Irene shoved her palm to Wendy’s face and Wendy giggled at the action. She gave Irene another peck on the cheek before continuing the battle. They were so lost in the game that they did not realize Mrs. Son came down all dressed up, ready to go out

“Seungwan” Wendy’s mom called

“…”

“Son Seungwan”

Irene nudges her girlfriend

“Yes?” Wendy replied but her eyes were still on the game

“I’m going out to run some errands okay? Then I’ll be meeting some of my friend for a bit”

“Alright mom—Hyun that’s not fair!!!!!”

“Can you defrost the meat later? I’m running late now” Mrs. Son spoke as she took her car keys from her bag

“Mmm, sure. Sure”

Wendy nodded while still trying win her battle against Irene

“Don’t forget okay? I’ll see you both in a while. Have fun!”

“Bye mom!”

“Drive safe Aunty!”

They said but eyes were still on the damn game. Truth be told they weren’t really focusing on what Mrs. Son said. Wendy definitely heard it but she figured she could just do it later considering her mom won’t be back for a while.

They went on for another hour because screw another round. With Irene there is no such thing as last round unless she’s winning. They were busy screaming until Wendy’s phone rang. Wendy paused the game and saw that the caller was her mother

“Hello?” Wendy answered

“Honey, I’ll be home in 15”

“Okies”

“You defrosted the meat right?”

Wendy suddenly froze and accidently dropped her joystick on the floor. Irene who was beside her, just stared at her girlfriend weirdly before picking the joystick up and placing it on the coffee table. She noticed that her girlfriend just turned pale

“…yeah! Like you told me. Like you told me before you go. Which was an hour ago. I totally didn’t forget, mother”

When Irene realized that Wendy said ‘mother’, she knew something was up. Wendy would only refer to her mom as ‘mother’ when she did something wrong. After Wendy hung up the phone, she turned to Irene and held her by the shoulder

“JOOHYUN WE HAVE TO DEFROST THE MEAT”

Wendy exclaimed, almost shaking the out of her poor girlfriend

“Uh, no. You had to defrost the meat” Irene said

“WE FORGOT TO DEFROST THE MEAT” Wendy ignored her

“Wen—“

“OH MY GOD MY MOM’S GOING TO KILL ME”

Wendy immediately stood up and walked towards the kitchen before opening the freezer

“Wen, you’re just over reactin—“

“ ITS ONE HUGE BLOCK. IT’S DEAD FROZEN HYUN?!”

Wendy said as she threw the huge damn block of meat to Irene who ended up with her on the floor. Honestly who would really throw a frozen meat towards any human kind?

Right, Asian household. Sound about right.

“WHY WOULD YOU THROW THE ING MEAT AT ME?” Irene screamed as she stood up

“I just wanna show you how frozen it is!”

“You think I’m blind????? I can TELL WENDY”

Irene grumbled and grabbed the meat, walking towards the kitchen counter and placed it there. Wendy however, was still panick
