Where Wendy and Irene goes to arts&crafts class with little Yerim

After a long busy week of working nonstop, Irene decided that this weekend would be a very great weekend to just go out and have a family bonding time. Both of her and Wendy had been so busy with their respective works that they felt like they had been neglecting their daughter, Yerim. Even though Yerim is young, she understood the line of work her parents are doing and both Irene and Wendy had never felt so lucky to have such an understanding daughter. Though they wished she didn’t grow up so fast.

Yerim is now 7 years old

And is currently having with what it seems to be a serious discussion with her other mother at the other end of the living room

But knowing her of a wife, nothing is ever serious

“No, Yerim. Let’s get a pet horse instead” Irene heard Wendy told their daughter

“Would Mama allow it?”

“Obviously, your Mama listens to me a lot”

Mama definitely doesn’t listen to Wendy a lot. In fact, it’s the other way around. And there is no in the goddamn way are they getting a horse, Irene thinks.

“But why horse? I want to get a pet turtle and call it cat” Yerim said

“Now that’s just ridiculous. Let’s get a pet horse instead Yerim-ah it’ll be fun. And we’ll call him Mayo”

“Why Mayo?”

“Because sometimes, Mayo Neighs”

Yes, her wife is still an idiot. And weird. And apparently, she passed that down to their daughter who almost seems silly as she is. Who on earth gets a turtle and call it by another animal’s name?

Her family, that’s who

Irene heard Wendy cackling at her own mayo neighs joke. Forgetting that Yerim was a little too young to understand only for their daughter to look at her mother with a judging stare.

Irene never understood how and why her life is forever being tested with weird ridiculous things that her family is doing. Just two nights ago Yerim went into their room and asked her Mama whether or not she could get her a worm costume. Irene wanted to ask why but her wife beat her into it and bought Yerim a worm costume for both Yerim and herself the very next day. And for some reason and no reason at all, both of her lunatic family that she loved dearly with all her hearts, started wiggling on the floors of the house like a goddamn worm.

Irene asked what was the purpose, and Yerim answered ‘because it’s fun!’ while her wife answered ‘this is another way to teach AND get Yerim to mop the floors next time’

And Wendy got a hard smack at the back of her head

“Yerim, Wendy, come here for a second”

Yerim and Wendy immediately rushes to Irene because the last time they stalled, Irene made sure they got an earful. Especially Wendy, for teaching their daughter to ‘not listen’ as a joke

But jokes on her, she too was scolded while kneeling on the ground along with her own daughter

“What’s up babe?”

Wendy said as she pulled Yerim on her lap, sitting right next to her wife

“Do you guys want to do something fun this weekend?” Irene asks

“Oh!!! Yerim and I were just talking about something fu—”

“We’re not gonna go horse-riding” Irene answered flatly

“Damn it”

Irene glared at Wendy for saying such foul words in front of their daughter. Yerim si a very very curious child, most of the time her curiosity is unstoppable.

“What does that mean, mommy?” Yerim turned to Wendy

“U-uh…”

“You can’t say that Yerim. It’s not good and only adults can say it” Irene interjected

“Damn it” Yerim answered

Oh god it’s going to be a long day
