Where parents Wendy and Irene attended little Yerim’s school play

 

 

“MAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”

 

 

Wendy and Irene turned around and saw their daughter running towards them with a big smile on her face while holding a piece of paper. They were standing outside their daughter’s classroom, talking to other parents when they heard their daughter’s voice. Irene smiled and immediately picked up the toddler in her arms and gave her a peck on those chubby cheek. Wendy pouted at the mere thought of their daughter favoring her wife more than herself

 

 

“Mama! Mama! Mama!”

“Yes Yerimie?” Irene replied

“Look at this!” little Yerim raised the paper she was holding

“Heyyyyy, no greetings for mommy?”

 

 

Wendy pouted at her daughter and only receiving a chuckle from her wife. Yerim, who just realized that she hasn’t greeted her other mom, immediately cupped her other mother’s cheeks before giving her a kiss on the nose

 

 

“Sorry mommy, hello to you too!”

“Mmm, thank you sweetie” Wendy giggled

“Look at this! Look at this!”

 

 

Yerim continued, waving her paper in the air excitingly as she lets out her famous toothy smile

 

 

“What chu’ got there?” Wendy asked as they walked back to the car

“I got a part in our school play!”

 

 

Wendy and Irene gasped in surprise, but still proud as ever. They knew that Yerim is a one talented kid and had always been interested in plays and musicals but they never would’ve thought that their 5 year old daughter would get a part in a school play this fast

 

 

“Really?!?!”

“YESS!!!!”

“We’re so proud of you baby!!!!!!”

 

 

Yerim smiled, feeling like a hundred bucks as she wigged her tiny little legs while sitting on the baby seat behind the passenger seat.

 

 

“Thank you mama, mommy! You guys are going to be there, right?”

“Of course baby, we wouldn’t miss it for the world” Irene replied, smiling

“You guys are going to love it! I know I do!”

 

 

Irene chuckled at her baby’s antique, turning to face her hot wife who’s currently driving with one hand while the other grabs hold onto hers, intertwining their fingers together

 

 

“Who else got in?” Wendy asked

“Oh! Seulgi and Sooyoung unnie got in too!”

 

 

What a nice trio. The three little kids had been inseparable ever since the day they enrolled their baby to school. They were glad that Yerim is such a social butterfly that she got along with almost literally everybody. It scared Wendy, at first. Thinking that Yerim might be too friendly that she might befriended a possible kidnapper if she were to come across one, The school had to convince the parent over and over again that the security is tight and they would make sure that no one other than the kids’ parents can pick them up unless informed beforehand. It did not make Wendy feel any better that time, but she definitely felt so much better when her wife coos her on which they ended up spending the entire afternoon full of lovemaking. Yes, Wendy felt so much better alright.

 

 

“That’s good! At least you guys can stick together” Wendy said

“Yeah mommy! All of us hold different parts too!”

“Oh? So what’s your character?”

 

 

Irene asked this time, turning her body around to face her little daughter as they stopped at the red light. Irene saw that Yerim’s eyes were shimmering, feeling proud of what she hold best

 

 

“Baby Jesus!”

 

 

Wendy almost stepped on the gas but luckily Irene was there to push her back with an arm, landing Wendy’s back on the car seat

 

 

“B-baby Jesus????” Wendy spoke

“Yes!”

 

 

Wendy looked at Irene in ridiculously, Irene gave the same kind of reaction as they try to converse with their eyes. Maybe there is some sort of explanation to this

 

 

“You’re the baby Jesus?” Irene spoke this time

“Yeap”

“What about Seulgi and Sooyoung?”

“Oh, Seulgi unnie is rock while Sooyoung unnie is a tree!”

 

 

Wow, the others are just props of nature and then there’s their daughter, about to be the next messiah

 

 

“Yerim, is it a religious play?”

“No Mama! It’s about some animals…I think”

“You think?” Irene asked again

 

 

Animal, huh. Could be Noah’s ark. But how can Baby Jesus fit in the story of Noah’s ark

 

 

“I forgot what Miss Jung said, but it’s definitely about animals”

 

 

Wendy glanced at Irene again

 

 

“And um…how did you became Baby Jesus?” Wendy said

“Miss Jung asked what character we wanted to be and I said I wanted to be Baby Jesus!”

 

 

Oh, their poor, poor child. Bless her cute little heart for being so oblivious and innocent.

 

 

“That’s…good baby. That’s good” Wendy answered

“Is it not okay?” Yerim asked

“No! No, we were just…caught off guard. But we’re so proud of you”

“I am proud of me too!”

 

 

Yerim giggled and wiggled her legs again as she played with her stuffed toy that was kept in the car

 

 

“Yerim-ah, when is the performance?” Irene spoke

“In three days! But we have a rehearsal tomorrow, after school”

 

 

Wendy leaned in to speak to her wife

 

 

“We can ask about the play” Wendy whispered

“Good idea”

“And then maybe have some y time in one of the high class bathroom like the old days” Wendy winked

“Shush, don’t be inappropriate! Yerim’s here. Now eyes on the road”

 

 

Wendy scoffed and sat back straight while Irene turns to her child

 

 

“Do you want us to be there for rehearsals baby?”

“Can you?!?!?!”

“Of course!” Irene smiled

“Okay!”

 

 

Maybe she’ll get some explanation about her daughter being baby Jesus in a freaking animal play

 

 

 

 

“Bless you! And you! And the chair! And this play! And the tree!”

 

 

Irene and Wendy stared at their daughter in ridiculously as little Yerim runs around blessing everyone and everything being the baby Jesus she is, with the rock and the tree trailing behind like loyal followers. Seulgi and Sooyoung are trying out their costume with Seulgi running around looking like a cheap asteroid in her rock costume and Sooyoung looking like a broken broom or more like a tree left in drought.
