The Abyss
The Roulette was very happy to acknowledge the fact that they got the 2 out of 8 orphan drugs but they know that might not be the case next time. “Ok guys! Yay for us but now we need to get back on track. We still have 6 more drugs which is a long way from our goal right now. Let’s recap, anything suspicious?” Seungwan asked, trying to calm the gang down.
The gang tried to recall what happened the night before. “Well I mean I saw a group of I think 7 people outside the club right before I came to meet you guys. They think they were slick but the obvious government guns in their hands gave it all away. I couldn't really see their faces though” Jungkook spoke up.
Seungwan pushed her glasses up. “Did anyone else see people with guns in their hands that weren't a part of The Roulette?” She questioned
The hands of the members raised as each of them indicated that they saw a suspected police member but couldn't see their faces in the dark lighting. “Ok guys, you need to be more careful, they probably saw our faces now, which means taking them down individually won’t work.” Wendy shook her head
Jennie suddenly thought of something. “Wen what about that guy you were dancing with? Did you see him with a gun?” she asked perking up the interest of the other members.
Wendy thought back to the night of the deal. He didn’t have any guns on him, his first instinct was to protect himself and her. “No he isn’t a police. I didn’t see any weapons on him and on top of that he wanted to protect me and take me with him.” She concluded
The group quickly dismissed the idea and worked on their next deal. “Okay guys, the next drug in Soliris. Jennie. Sooyoung and Taehyung, do you guys have the details?” Hanbin asked
The three nodded and went up to the screen. “The drug we’re dealing with is known as Eculizumab but sold under the name we all know Soliris. Soliris is used to treat Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) and adults and children with a disease called atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS).” She changes the slide to a picture of a familiar rich guy.
Sooyoung takes the lead. “This drug is currently in the possession of Jackson Wang in Mainland China. But we have a problem.” She states
The group sighed “What do you mean?” They asked
Sooyoung pulled up a picture of a smiling boy. “Mark Tuan. Jackson’s boyfriend. Doesn’t know that Jackson is in the underground business.” She explains
“So why do we need to know about him?” Jungkook asked
Sooyoung sighed. “Because Jackson Wang doesn’t want to do this deal.” She revealed
“Ohhhhhhhh.” The group hit a moment of realization.
“So what’s our plan?” Seulgi asked
The group looked at each other trying to figure out what to do with this situation. “We’ll kidnap him.” Wendy decides
The group looks at her with surprise. “Kidnap? But Jackson is actually a good friend of ours. There must be a reason why he’s saying no?” Jennie reasons
Seungwan puts her hand up to tell the team to stop talking. “I’m not saying we torture him. He seems sweet, I’m saying we hold him captive until Jackson gives us the Soliris drug.” She explains
Hanbin gives the group a look. “I guess we are going on a trip to China.” He says
Wendy suddenly speaks up. “I’m not going , I need to visit Tiff this week. You guys go. I’ll monitor everything from here.” She says
The group groans. “Girl how are we supposed to work with this lunatic. He can’t even lead properly.” Sooyoung says pointing to Hanbin who slaps her hand.
“Who says I’m trying to be a leader? I’m literally her right hand man.” He reasons
Seugwan laughs. “You know how much I love that cafè. Dad bought it as a gift for mom and I want to go spend time with Aunt Tiff anyways. I’ll lead you guys from there via video call.” She ensures
The rest smile and give her a group hug and cheer her up. Off they go to China.
But what they didn't know was that they had another group listening in on their conversation.
Bingo! It’s now our time to shine.
