A/N:  So, I haven’t done any homework the last several days.  I have a take-home test, a rough draft for my senior seminar paper and a very long list of definitions and theorems to write out all due on Monday.  This will be my last post until next week at the earliest.  Sorry about that, but homework must come first.  Thank the Lord I’m graduating in May.  Anyway, I have only two more chapters to post in this story before I separate the different arcs.  It’s going to be ‘interesting’ trying to keep up with five different stories at the same time, but I’ll do my best.  Oh, and this chapter is dedicated to all of my wonderful subscribers.  I have 10, now!  Yay!  Thanks so much!  Okay, I’ll stop rambling now and let you get to the story.  Enjoy!

Yoochun

            The first thing that surprised Shandi when she woke up in the morning was that she woke up.  She hadn’t intended to go to sleep at all.  Ugh.  Yoochun still had his arms around her waist and had her tucked against him.  She wanted out.  But, how could she get out of this situation without waking him up?  She carefully moved his hand off of her and froze when he rolled onto his back.  Did he wake up?  She peeked at him over her shoulder and sighed in relief.  No, he was still asleep.  Phew. 

            “Psst.  You awake, Shandi?”  Apparently, Robyn was. 

            “Yeah.  Yoochun’s not, thank the Lord.” 

            Robyn nodded.  “Let’s hurry and get dressed before he wakes up.”   She got out of the blanket and walked over to the firewood.  “Hey, our clothes are dry.”

            “Duh, they’ve been drying for hours.  It doesn’t take that long to dry.”

            “I know.  I was a physics minor.  I do know how all of that works.”  She was already halfway dressed.  How did Robyn dress so fast?

            Shandi got up and grabbed her clothes as quietly as she could.

            “Huh?  Is it morning already?”  Shandi’s eyes widened.  Yoochun had woken up and she hadn’t even started putting her clothes on, yet.  Just her luck.  She shared a quick, nervous glance with Robyn.  Of course, Robyn was fully dressed.  Shandi started throwing on her clothes as fast as she could.  Maybe she could get covered up before Yoochun saw.  As soon as she was dressed (she had never dressed so fast in her life) she turned to find Yoochun staring at her, mouth agape.  She closed her eyes and groaned silently.  Why had he woken up then?  Couldn’t he have stayed asleep for just a few more moments?  He had missed seeing Robyn, why couldn’t he have missed seeing her?  She blushed furiously, then grabbed her jacket and threw it at his head.  He must’ve been in shock or something, because he didn’t even try to dodge.  It smacked him in the face, causing him to fall over.  Luckily, there wasn’t anything in the jacket that would hurt him.  If she hadn’t been so angry with him, she would have probably been concerned about his face. 

            “That was freezing!”  Yoochun practically peeled the jacket off his face and sat up.  Of course it was freezing.  It had been sitting on top of a stack of firewood in the freezing cold all night.  He started to get up, apparently forgetting that he wasn’t wearing anything but a blanket. 

            “NO!”  Robyn and Shandi both yelled and held their hands out in front of them.  They had already seen Yoochun once and they did not want to repeat the experience.  His top half was fine, but anything lower…ugh.  Shandi shuddered involuntarily.  Shandi made the mistake of looking at Yoochun’s endearingly confused face.  He was so adorable when he made that face!  She shook her head.  This was not the time to be thinking Yoochun was adorable.  Robyn obviously hadn’t been affected by his cuteness, because she grabbed his clothes off the woodpile and threw them at him. 

            “Get dressed before you get up, please.” 

            He had the good grace to look embarrassed, at least.  “Could you turn around?”  Robyn blushed at that, and, for that matter, so did Shandi.  They both turned around without another word.  At least, Yoochun wouldn’t have to worry about them peeking.  Neither of them wanted to see that.  Shandi heard him cursing silently as he got his foot or something caught in his clothes.  It sounded like he had fallen over.  Ha!  Served him right for looking at her without her clothes on. 

            More cursing.  “Alright.  I’m done.  You can turn around, now.”  Shandi stayed like she was for a moment.  She didn’t have any real reason not to trust what he said, but she wasn’t taking any chances.  Once was enough for a lifetime.  More than enough.  She glanced over at Robyn, who was probably thinking along the same lines: she hadn’t turned around, either.  They shared a meaningful look.  It was amazing how one could have an entire conversation in a single look with someone one knew well.  But, it was a little disturbing to Shandi that she caught herself referring to herself as ‘one’ even in her own head.  Okay.  No more of those fantasy novels Robyn liked to read. 

            A hand on her shoulder caused her to cease her inner musings.  Yoochun turned her and Robyn around, since it had become obvious to him that they weren’t going to turn around without some outside stimulus. 

            “I wouldn’t tell you I was done if I wasn’t.  You can trust me.  I promise.” 

            Robyn raised an eyebrow at him.  Shandi could almost hear her reply:  Sure, like no one’s ever said thatparticular line before.  Sure enough, those were the next words out of Robyn’s mouth.  She rolled her eyes.  Her friend was so predictable.  At least, she could always count on Robyn saying what she thought without worrying about what others might think of her. 

            All three of them gave a start at someone banging on the door, causing some ice hanging from the corners to break and fall.  Yoochun unbolted the door and opened it to reveal a very concerned Yunho with the rest of the group peering in from behind him. 

            “Yoochun!  Are you okay?”

            “Yunho-hyung!  Yeah.  We’re fine.  How did you find us?”

            Changmin stepped forward.  “You’re joking, right?  This is the only place within miles that offered decent shelter for a blizzard.  It’s the first place we checked.   The real question is:  how did you manage to find this place?”  He glanced at Shandi and Robyn, trying to make themselves disappear into the back wall of the cabin.  This would probably look really bad.  Shandi really hoped the guys didn’t blame them for what happened.  Really, it was all Yoochun’s fault.  He was the one who had gone out into the blizzard, and if Shandi and Robyn hadn’t seen him outside, he would’ve been trapped alone.  Since Robyn had had to explain about the fire and point out the cabin, Yoochun might not have survived alone. 

            Changmin nudged Yunho’s arm and nodded his head in the girls’ direction.  Yunho sighed. 

            “Are you two alright?”  Shandi let out the breath she had been holding, relieved.  He didn’t sound too upset.  Yet.  She nodded, unable to speak for the moment.  She was a little afraid they’d get into trouble with Yunho, and, though she’d probably never admit it to him, she was more than a little afraid of Yunho’s temper.  She’d heard about his outbursts and had no desire to witness one at the moment. 

            Thankfully, Yunho turned back to Yoochun.  “We’ll get an explanation later.  For now, let’s get you all back to the lodge and get you checked out.  And hope no one notices you’ve been gone.”  This was going to be a long, fun walk back to the lodge.
