New House ≠ New Home
Final Retry || Yulyen“You want a house that has an underground floor too, right?” the vendor opened the catalog, skipping some pages until she stop herself to a certain page. “It’s an unusual request but it helped me to filter down the house options we have here by a lot.”
The vendor marked the house’s photo in catalog then cleared . She started explaining the details of the marked house; the exterior design, what it made of, the interior, and even showing the blueprint to her clients.
On the other side, Yena and Yuri sat quietly, attentively listening to the vendor. They both thought the vendor’s explanation is so detailed and smooth. In other words, she is a very good speaker and passionate in her work.
After speaking for five minutes non-stop, there was a knock from the door which the vendor yelled to let whoever it was to come inside too. A pantry boy stepped inside, bringing a tray with three cups on it before placing it on the table carefully. He bowed his head politely before walking out from the room.
“Perfect timing, let me drink before I continue for the second possible house,” the vendor excused herself, gulping down the drink from the ceramic cup. “Ah, forgive my rudeness. Feel free to drink too, that boy always served the best tea.”
Both the girls smiled at the vendor, hands slowly reaching the cup and takes a tentative sip. Yuri nodded her head in agreement that the served tea was really tasted great in . It wasn’t too hot nor it has lost the heat, it was just right.
The vendor flipped some pages again until her hand stopped at a certain page, marking it once more. She started explaining the second house’s photo and literally everything about it. Meanwhile both Yena and Yuri listened to her in silence, still awed with how smooth the figure speaks in front of strangers while taking in the information she delivered.
After explaining all the things about the two houses, the vendor said that was the end of the possible house options. The other houses in the catalog didn’t have an underground floor like what the girls requested. Yena rubbed her chin gently with furrowed brows, glancing at Yuri as if she asked the latter’s opinion without a word spoken.
Yuri tilted her head slightly before she speak up, “Ohh, this is hard to choose just by the photo. Chiyori-san, is it alright for you to show us to the real houses?”
The vendor’s mouth shaped an O, answering right away. “Oh! Totally fine by me! It will be your future house after all, of course you need to check it before blindly buying. I can show you immediately if you two are free,” she offered to show them that day.
“Yes, we are free today. Please show us,” Yena simply took the offer, she just wanted to quickly get a house for them to live in.

An hour later the three of them arrived at the first house with the vendor being the one who drive. Yena and Yuri looked at the modern house before them, the architecture looks much like cousins throughout the neighborhood in Europe rather than Japan. The land was small and the building has two stories above the ground, just like Yena’s previous house near the lake back then.
The vendor took out the key to the house and shows them around inside. They visited every room to check, it was all looking nice and comfortable to live in Yena’s eyes. But Yena could tell that Yuri wasn’t that impressed with it.
A half hour later they arriv
