“Do I really need to do this?” Yuri narrowed her eyes with arms crossed over her chest. It has been a week since she was discharged from the hospital and once they are home, Yena had told her everything. The blonde had explained that due of urgency she turned Yuri into her kind, yes, a lycanthrope. Although her venom didn’t work that fast because Yuri has passed out and in critical condition already after she got shot.

It has never occurred in Yuri’s mind that Yena would actually turn her as the girl was always so against the idea. It made her realizes just how deep were Yena’s feeling toward her that she decided on this way out to keep her alive. To Yuri, it was the most beautiful thing in her entire life to ever happened; to love and to also be loved as much as she fallen to the deepest pit of her own feeling.

But it is not the time for Yuri to feel all lovey-dovey as Yena took her out... into the woods at night.

“I want you to be able to shift, I promise there’s no harm for this,” holding Yuri’s hand, Yena persuaded for the brunette to practice shapeshifting.

The fog was unusually thick that night, naturally muffling both vision and sound but Yuri still could see and hear everything just as fine. It’s a brand new feeling to have her senses heightened like this. That was the moment when she recognizes that she truly has become an inhumane creature.

Still grabbing Yuri’s hand, Yena’s eyes bore into the latter’s, “I will guide you so I want you to listen to me and do what I say.” Yena’s voice coming out sounded like a command, causing Yuri’s head to just nod away with the demand.

“Firstly, close your eyes.”

The brunette’s eyes fell to the ground as she was actually feeling scared in doing this. But at the same time she also felt excitement building in her stomach. She had a mixed feeling toward all of this but she closed her eyes, obeying what Yena told her to.

“Next, draw a wolf figure in your mind. Keep your focus on it,” Yena continued.

Yuri took a deep breath as she picture a wolf figure in her mind, it was a big wolf with hazelnut fur and black tipped ears. Its eyes are golden, flaming with black pupil at the center as if it’s in the depth of moonlight with famished glare. The claws and fangs looking all sharp and deadly.

“Now use your imagination as its shape collaging into you slowly, stay calm and relax,” Yena was rubbing Yuri’s tiny hands at that moment.

Then Yuri felt the wolf moves closer and closer, coming at her without hesitation, merging into her soul and body.

An unbearable burning sensation rushed through Yuri’s body and veins. It was an indescribable feeling. She felt like her body isn’t hers anymore, everything was light before it turned into... darkness.

Blank and empty.

Yuri felt nothing before she feels her skin searing, growing long dainty fur all over her body. Bones were regenerating to larger size than normal human would have, tearing apart Yuri’s succulent flesh, adjusting to another shape. By this time Yena already released Yuri’s hands as she watches the figure being transformed then falling to the ground.

Exhaling a breath, Yuri mustered herself to open her eyes while thinking that her shifting should be all done. She was surprised as to why the ground so close to her before realizing that she had fallen on it while transforming earlier. Gazing at her own hands she stood up slowly, grasping her arms full of fur and be totally enthralled by it.
