“No... T-the cup... breaks itself... after I grabbed it...”

Yena squinted her eyes, trying to comprehend what Yuri explained to her. She averted her gaze between Yuri and the tile ground with the broken ceramic, still shattered, static, and unaffected. Her stomach would have feeling sick from looking at the blood-stained floor but somehow it reminded her of something... about herself, long time ago. Slowly shaking her head, Yena laughed a little before it turns into conceivable chuckles. It was as if she just got struck, strangled by the recollection of her memories.

“Oh my God, Yuri!” she exclaimed while placing hand across her own face, covering one of her eyes completely.

“Y-yes? What is it?” Yuri looked up at Yena’s direction, her face was in full confusion as to why even she laughed at times like this. It was so strange when something scary just happened and she laughed it off.

“I just remember of something about all this. You reminded me of my old self back then, when I was just turned into a lycanthrope too,” Yena tried to explain while holding back her laughter, causing Yuri to be even more clueless than she already was.

Raising her brow, she needed Yena to elaborate what actually she means. “Okay, you seems so amused after something weird like this happened,” the brunette brought her wounded palm to emphasizes that it wasn’t funny at all. “Now care to explain what happened?” she asked grumpily.

Hearing the tone, Yena sensed that Yuri was being annoyed by her. “Okay, okay, please calm down I will tell you,” she inhaled a deep breath before continuing what she was going to say. She grabbed Yuri’s wrist then placing her wounded hand on top of her palm, it was almost completely healed. “This could happen only because you couldn’t control your power while you are in normal human form like this. Please don’t forget the fact that you are a lycanthrope being now, your power has been strengthened by a real lot, especially after our late meal. It gives us even more strength. The difference between us is that I could adjust my power and accustomed to it already when doing things while you have not, yet. And so the cup breaks because you were too strong in holding it,” she explained as best as she could. “This is nothing to be scared of, right?”

“Ahh, so that’s why...” Yuri nodded sluggishly, honestly still feeling weird. “Then what did you do to adjust your power?”

“Diet,” she answered shortly and simply.

Yuri gasped by the sound of that. “Are you serious?! This is not some kind of joke?”

“I am, sweetheart, you have to believe me that I went through that,” the blonde still trying to convince her with all seriousness in her tone.

It takes a moment until Yuri being fully convinced that Yena wasn’t joking underneath her stern expression. She was suspicious of the possibility that Yena might be tricking her as the person teases her all the time. But the way Yena’s eyes bore straight into hers in confidence, causing her heart swirls that what she said was all true, not a lie even in tiny bit.

She trusted Yena’s words.

Diet, huh... The brunette heaved a long sigh upon imagining that she couldn’t eat like how she normally does now.

They fell into silence moment for a while until a sudden loud ringtone could be heard across the room, breaking the thick air between them in instant. It was Yuri’s phone ringing in the living room so Yena told her to take it meanwhile she takes care to clean the floor there. Yuri quickly ran lightly over the room, picking up her phone before looking up at the caller’s name.
