Chapter 18 begins.

"I'm sorry Changwook, but that i can't promise. DaeYoung is evil and he deserves something more than death." Baekhyun's mind was fixed and he don't care what will become of him.

"B-Baekhyun…" The low voice, more like a whisper call. It was filled with pain and betrayal, "What are you?" 

Baekhyun spun around quickly, to his greatest horror Seoyeon was standing beside the staircase, tears streaming down her cheeks. Her eyes lost it's beautiful spark and was replace with sadness, she was a mess.

Baekhyun lost his words, he wasn't sure of what to say, and lying to her after hearing everything will ruin things even more.

"My love…" He began to speak, but Seoyeon stopped him with her hand up in the air. She walk into the light and stood in front of Baekhyun, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

"Y-You're a-a m-mafia?" It was hard to mention the name, but she pushed herself to it. "Please answer m-me Baekhyun."

The CEO stood frozen, tears threatening in his eyes. He didn't see this coming, and he didn't want her to know about this in such condition.

"Seoyeon, please listen to me, please."

"Just tell me Baekhyun, who are you? Are you a mafia?' Her voice quivered and it broke Baekhyun's heart into a million pieces.

"Yes, I was, but not anymore. I had no other choice then than to become one since my Dad forced me into it. But when my Dad past on, I stopped it." 

"Then let it be so." Seoyeon cut in harshly. "Let it remain as it is now. Please don't go back being a mafia again because of me, I can't handle it, it will surely be the end of me." She broke down in tears and Baekhyun did same. He pulled her to his chest and hug her.

"But I have to Seoyeon, DaeYoung is evil, and only evil and destroy evil."

"No Baekhyun. Evil can't win, but good will. You will have to do this now or lose me forever, Baekhyun." She pushed him away and ran upstairs. Baekhyun also ran after her, but she was quick to slam the door and lock it from behind.

"Please Seoyeon open up, please." Baekhyun pleaded, but she refused to listen and sobbed bitterly. Hearing her crying made him weak and broken, he felt his heart also aching.

After staying at the door for a long time he got up and left the door side. The sobbing has stop, probably she fell asleep.

The trailed down the staircase with his head bowed low. Immediately Changwook saw him, he stood up and held the younger.

"How is she? Did you talk to her?"

"No, I didn't because she shut me out." Baekhyun sighed and collapse on the couch, regretting all his actions.

"I'm letting you handle things your own way from now henceforth. You and your men can use my loads of  ammunition if the worse comes to that, I'm backing away, and never to return to that life ever again." Baekhyun said while looking at Changwook.

"However, I will protect Seoyeon and my kids in my own part, I also won't rest till DaeYoung is out of sight."

"Sure man, you can trust in me, I won't let harm your way, and I will make sure DaeYoung and his accomplice end up where they belong."

"Promise?"

"Yes, I promise you, and when I make a promise, I always keep my promise."

Baekhyun smiled at his friend and hugged him. He knew Changwook to be a man of his words, and for that simple reason, he felt relieved. 

"I will take my leave now, I have to look into this matter and take a drastic step. You once lost your wife which is my sister Sunny because of that man, and now I have no one to call a sister anymore. I won't let that happen again with Seoyeon and the kids. I know what it means to lose a loved one, and this time I will give DaeYoung a taste of his own medicine."

"Thank you brother, but please be careful." Baekhyun said and the other smiled.

"I will little bro." Changwook tap him on the shoulder and left.

Once Changwook was out if sight, Baekhyun ran his hand through his hair as if the hair was responsible for his current condition. A heavy sigh escape his throat with a feeling of hurt following.

He felt bad for the condition he had put his wife into, he knows perfectly well that she will never forgive him no matter what.

"Dammit!" He cursed and paced back and front, he has to somehow make his wife forgive him again, he can't just let things get out of hand.

He went to the children's room and kissed them. He also wrote down a note and placed it on the table beside the bed and he left his mansion and went straight to the commissioner of police and filed a complaint about the life of his sons and wife being in danger, at least that's what everybody would do.

Seoyeon had fallen asleep after crying, but the sound of the kids knocking at the door while calling out to her, stirred her up from her distressed sleep. She turn over to her side to kiss her husband, but the sad reality about what had happen during the early hours of the morning made her sad. 

She got up and unlocked the door and she hugged her sons before kissing their cheeks.

"Mommy missed you both so much." 

"We missed you too." The boys replied and looked around the room in search of Baekhyun, but he was out of sight.

"Mommy where is Daddy? We've been looking all over for him, but he's not around in the house."

Seoyeon gasped, she looked at the boys
