"Hyunnie oppa, can you give me a lift to work today?" your sister Minhye, for the first time in your twenty years of knowing her, was awake on time and currently sweet talking your older brother, Minhyun. Minhyun, who was eating breakfast, glanced at her and then shrugged his shoulders before he turned to you, "do you need to go to the station now? I can drop you off on the way."

"Um thank you, Minhyun oppa, but Hyukkie oppa said he'd drive me to Seoul since he has work there with appa," you answered hesitantly and he shrugged his shoulders before he got up from the table, leaving you with Minhye and your mother.

"(Y/N), come on," Minhyuk was coming out of his room and your father followed close behind with a smile on his face. Everyone greeted your father and brother before you followed them out of your apartment.

It wasn't normally an awkward drive but for some reason both men were oddly quiet which made you sink in your seat and pull out your phone hesitantly.

The last time you talked to Donghae was yesterday and it was a daily thing now, as it has been for the past month. Expecting him to have messaged you, your face dropped when you realised there was no message from your friend, but a grin replaced the frown when you saw; 'Lee Donghae is typing...'

You turned your phone off and shoved it in your pocket before you looked out of the window at the passing trees and other cars which kept your attention for a while until your dad called your name.

"Hmm, abeoji?" you answered quietly and looked in the rear view mirror, noticing that your father was staring at you.

"I was wondering how school is going, we haven't talked a lot recently," he said and you slowly nodded your agreement to the blunt statement.

It was true. Ever since this year started, you and your dad haven't had a proper chance to have a full on conversation with each other. It had been three months since you had a proper conversation with your father.

"Uhm, it's been good. I got my approval for the charity project I mentioned. Mr Lee and I will be going to the different agencies next month," you informed proudly and both men smiled at you while they shook their heads.

"That's good for you, then," he smiled at you and you rubbed the back of your head nervously, "and, um, how's work going for you? Isn't it hard?"

"He's waiting for you to graduate so he can hand the company down," Minhyuk spoke up and your eyebrows furrowed immediately, "uh?"

"I want it to be a fair play. I am not handing the company down because you won't have a chance to get it," your father explained and you smiled slightly at his reasoning before you shook your head, "don't worry, appa. I don't want it at all."

"All my hard work!" your father gasped jokingly and you smiled before you noticed Minhyuk and your father exchange a glance.

"We were thinking..." Minhyuk started and you stiffened slightly at his concerned tone, "wae?"
