You were tired, so tired as you fell on your bed and tried to let sleep consume you. It was barely 11:30 PM, but your eyes were already begging you to rest and just melt into your bed.
You didn't even bother eating, getting changed or even texting Donghae a 'good night' message before you crashed on your bed and fell into a deep sleep.
You had gone through a difficult day with final exams for university and you were so glad that it was holidays in two days time. Yesterday was the day of the Super Show and you hadn't managed to talk to Donghae after the sudden cancellation of SS7, but you did end up talking to the man who bought the tickets from you.
"Tturyeotaetteon moseupdo icheojinayo
geureon shigani itgin hangayo No no
haengbokaetteon geu gieokdo da jiweojinayo-" you grabbed your phone sleepily and momentarily wondered who would call you at this time of night with a small grunt.
"(Y/N)-ah? Did I wake you?" your eyebrows furrowed at the sound of Jinwoo's voice and you groaned quietly before confirming what the man had questioned.
"I'm sorry for waking you. I just saw something on the news that- actually, never mind. Good night, (Y/N)," Jinwoo finished the call and you blinked and then sighed, "Jinwoo-ssi? What are you talking about-"
"It's nothing. Just go back to sleep," he suggested and you didn't think anything weird of it, simply sighing at his antics. You bid him a good night and tossed your phone under your bed, completely ignoring the constant buzzing it was echoing.

When your alarm rang with the usual OST of Ms Panda and Mr Hedgehog, you blindly searched for your phone while trying to get it to shut up so you could sleep more, but it didn't work out as well as it could have.
You grumbled under your breath as you turned off your phone and noticed in surprise that Donghae alone had left you over twenty messages overnight. Initially worried, you ended up nonchalantly deciding that you would check them out on the way to Seoul since you were already thirty minutes behind.
As sunrise approached, you left your house with a quick greeting to your father who had just woken up and was walking through the living room. When you arrived at the train station, you were surprised at the emptiness and even checked the time twice to ensure that you weren't late.
After checking the train's timetable for the fourth time, you were glad when you saw another person walking briskly towards you. You politely greeted the slightly older man who returned the salutation and then sat next to you, flipping open his laptop.
"Um, sorry, but do you know where everyone is?" you asked after a tense five minutes of him scrolling through his laptop and you awkwardly tapping your fingers on your lap.
"There's a delay for the train," the man explained with a small nod at you, "there was an issue with the driver's daughter last night, so they decided to let him tend to his daughter before taking the train."
"Oh, okay," you mumbled and thanked him before you both settled in another silence, thought this time it wasn't as awkward as before.
"Anyway, what's your name?" he asked, surprising you that he spoke up first. You looked at him silently and then smiled, holding out your hand to him in a greeting, "annyeonghaseyo. I'm Kim (Y/N), it's nice to meet you."
"I'm Ryu Hyeongsuk," he answered your salutation curtly and shook your hand before he returned to his laptop. Wow, talk about awkward.
Another few minutes passed in silence with him tapping at the keyboard of his laptop, but then he suddenly stopped and slammed the screen down. You flinched at the unexpected movement and looked down when he looked at you with an almost scrutinising look.
"I've seen you on the train before," he commented and you rose your eyebrows in surprise, completely sure that you had never seen the man before. "You usually sit alone until the grandma and grandpa join you," he added and you could only nod affirmative.
"Anyway, you probably find me really creepy. I also work near your university, so I see you a lot," he informed you and you blinked stupidly before you offered him a weak smile of apology. "Sorry, I've never seen you before today."
"Well, I've never thought that you would have," he sighed with an amused twinkle in his eyes and you shifted uncomfortably, feeling a little awkward at the light joke he made. It didn't do anything to not make you feel bad.
"Ah, looks like the train is here," he stated and you looked up in surprise, noticing that he was absolutely correct. The train, as well as the other passengers, had arrived and you were a little more than glad to get out of the awkward atmosphere.
