It was a cold day and there was practically nothing to do, so you were very bored. And irritated.

All the kids were at their mothers' parents for a reunion of sorts and you were left alone with your parents, Jinwoo and his parents. Really fun.

And to top it all off, you had lost contact with Donghae for the past week. Seriously, how could he do this to you?!

You were about to text him to see how he was doing and question his existence, but as soon as you picked up the device, your mother called for you. "(Y/N)! Come help me in the kitchen!"

"Coming!" you answered after you switched your phone off and then left your room in a hurry.

Your father, Jinwoo and his father were sitting on the sofa and you bowed politely to them as you passed to go to the kitchen. They replied to you with salutations of their own and for some reason your father looked quite impressed but you ignored it and ran to the kitchen.

"You're really pretty," Jinwoo's mother complimented and you flushed in embarrassment at her words. You sheepishly collected vegetables from the fridge and started preparing the soup that was planned for the night's dinner.

"You want a coffee or tea?" Jinwoo had dragged you to Seoul in the early morning when he went to drop his parents back home. Your parents for some reason didn't mind him staying another week and you obviously couldn't argue with their wishes.

"Uhm, I don't mind," you answered honestly, not even bothering to look up from the ground. As it was almost afternoon, you were starving and hadn't eaten anything for eight hours, making you more than just a little drowsy.

"Okay, this cafe looks okay," you heard him mumble and you looked up, blinking in surprise when you realised that it was definitely your workplace. "Hey, I work here!" you announced happily to Jinwoo who hoisted his eyebrow before he smiled.

"Really? Let's go in then!" he grinned and without another word, you were getting dragged into the coffee shop. You could only watch the back of his head in disbelief at the sudden movement. That was unexpected.

"Good afternoon, may I take your- (Y/N)-ah?" you looked away from the window and offered Jaejin a nervous laugh and small wave, "hi, Jaejin-ssi!"

"What are you... who is he?" Jaejin rose his eyebrow at Jinwoo who smiled politely and offered your colleague his hand to shake, "hello. I'm Kim Jinwoo, (Y/N)'s friend. And you are...?"

"I'm Lee Jaejin... are you (Y/N)'s boyfriend?" Jaejin wondered and you wished in your embarrassment that you could be swallowed by the ground. Why were they like this?

"No, I'm not," Jinwoo answered with a short and unsure laugh before he smiled at you, "and what would you like to eat?"

"I'm fine with whatever," you replied politely and then bowed your head to Jaejin who looked slightly abashed. While Jinwoo ordered your food, you pulled out your constantly vibrating phone to see what was happening.
