Behind the Smile
Description
He has a smile that can steal a girl's heart. He's an adorable sometimes-cheesy, sometimes-serious, often awkward man. At least that's his image. And sometimes he is that man.
BUT
many thoughts can be hidden behind a smile. Love. Anxiety. Passion. Heartbreak. Fear. Hate. What really lies behind his smile? Will you ever find out?
MAYBE
After all, now you're going to be near him everyday. If he knew how you really felt-would he just keep smiling?
A/N: Nervous & excited- first fanfics are slightly intimidating, aren't they? This story idea basically grows out of also being a "smiler"- and knowing that the fact I'm smiling doesn't always mean I'm happy. Also- the story starts off kind of sad, but hang on, because as with any story involving Onew, the Sangtae is on the way! Hope I can do a passable job here.
I don't own Onew or the rest of Shinee, or any other idols which may appear. All these events will be purely fictional-if they happen to resemble events or people, then dang not only am I amazingly psychic, but I'm also incredibly jealous of your life.
WARNING!- Some parts of this story may become a bit R-rated, haven't decided yet, but I'll mark the chapters to warn ya what's going down. (*snorts* going down *lol*)
WARNING #2- if you plagiarize any part of this story (and I will find out) then I will have my team of ninja assassins (not the awesome Lee Joon/Rain movie kind- but the real down & dirty, cold-blooded katana & shuriken swinging, make sure your bloody corpse is displayed to warn off all other wannabe offenders kind) to kill you deader than dead. really. Because after all, as the lovely Joon says... "You shouldn't do that." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fg4K1bfsrps&feature=related
Foreword
I sat. I smiled. I signed autographs until my wrists and fingers went numb. I drank bottle after bottle of water. I offered high-fives and handshakes and bows. I waved at cameras, winked, smiled and smiled some more. The numbers of fans gathered at the airport was misleading….where hundreds had screamed waving cute handmade signs and posters, there were 1500 seats in the auditorium where my members and I were having a fanmeeting. Every seat taken. So many people wishing us well.
I was so touched that they had all come out just to see us. I could not be more overwhelmed that some of these dedicated girls and guys had driven hours, waited hours, just for the 30 seconds it took to dash a marker across the paper. It was amazing…and exhausting. My cheeks are burning from the strain, and we’re only at the first hour. But I keep smiling, because the Shawols deserve it. They make it possible for me to sing, doing what I love every day.
But more importantly, I thought while flashing another grin at a fancam, they have made it so I can see the person I love every day, and that is worth any amount of effort...
