The Wrong Side of Town“she looks at the stars as if she lived there before”
―Owl & Fox
“I think it’s a more painful to die of cancer”
He blew out the smoke as the wind carried it toward her direction “I beg to differ”
She giggled looking towards him. He turned his head slightly to see who was laughing at him to see Minzy giggling as if she was crazy. However, he understood too well from that laugh how she was feeling he had felt that many times. He was surprised to find her out of everyone there.
She sighed as she stopped laughing “sorry I haven’t heard myself laugh in a while” he didn’t say anything as he was looking straight ahead.
“What happened to forever with China”
“Business went bad had to escape back here”
“When did you get back” she asked seeing his knuckles
“Today”
“And suho?”
“You have a crush on him? I would advise you to end it he has someone else in his heart”
She smiled “no he was just the one I tolerated the most” it was true he was at least nice the last few times. He seemed different more kind hearted.
Kris stood up and took one last hit of the cigarette before throwing it on the floor and stepping on it. He was walking away when her voice stopped him “you should get checked out I’m not too far away if you ever want to stop by” he chuckled at how crazy she must be inviting him over.
Minzy didn’t know why she was inviting him either but she was alone and honestly not mentally right. She craved company with someone who understood her.
She got up and headed home where she found her unnies waiting outside her door with their bags. She smiled they knew she liked to go out for walks so they patiently waited. “Minzy” chaerin said happily as she was the first one to see her. She opened the door for them and led them in “I didn’t know we were having a sleepover” minzy said pretending to be annoyed but the girls knew very well Minzy loved having them over.
They all laid their sleeping bags in the living room. Their routine were snacks, facials, gossip, and gush over famous actors.
They all laid down with their face mask on as they looked up at the ceiling “How was work” Minzy asked she always asked first she knew her unnies felt bad that Minzy didn’t work there no more so they felt as if they were showing off if they spoke about it.
“A lot of patients it’s getting ridiculous now they expect us to help everyone while being short of hands. But they don’t want to waste money on hiring more people” chaerin started her rant.
“What’s worse is they don’t let us have our lunch breaks on time. I didn’t even eat lunch at all I think I should sue them.” Bom followed
“The new students who started working are so horrible at their job they don’t even know what medicine to give for a simple thing like a fever!” Dara finished.
Minzy laughed she knew very well what they were doing but she was grateful to them because she would feel envious deep down.
“Mino seems really down lately” Dara said looking towards Minzy.
“Can’t you forgive him” chaerin said. Bom just sat there she knew Minzy the most to know the answer to that was still very complicated for her.
“I brought our favorite snacks girls” Bom said changing the subject as she took out corn making the girls laugh “more like your favorite snack” Dara said.
