      The couple stopped by a mini market for Yoobin to grab some items to cook with. She was planning to make Jaejoong spaghetti, a favorite dish of Yoobin's family. Since Jaejoong doesn’t know much about other foreign food, Yoobin thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce it to him. She really wished she had the opportunity to share this with Yunho but their relationship never had the time. At least with Jaejoong, Yoobin was able to do normal couple things.

      Jaejoong was more than ecstatic for the chance to see Yoobin cook for him. He always imagined his girlfriend to do same to him. Both Jaejoong and Yoobin grabbed for the cart but he insisted that he should push while she gather all the things she needed for her dish. Giving into her husband’s wishes she started searching for the ingredients for her dish. Many onlookers watched the young couple thinking how wonderful it is to be their age and be in love.

Yoobin was in deep thought looking at the pasta sauce contemplating which one her mom used. She wasn’t sure if it was traditional or the wild garlic mushroom flavor. Jaejoong noticed that Yoobin was in deep thought and decided to help.

“Umm…is there anything wrong Binnie?”

“Mianhae Joong. You might think is silly but I can’t remember exactly which pasta sauce my mom used in her dish.”

“Ohh….Maybe you should call her and ask.”

“Yeah, I think that is a good idea. Hold on a sec.” Yoobin scrolled down at her contact list and dialed her mom’s number.

“Yobeseyo?”

“Umma! It Yoobin. Umma, I was wondering what pasta sauce you usually use in your dish for spaghetti?”

“Ohh, I use the traditional one and then add my own flavors. Wae Yooin?, are you making spaghetti for your members?”

“Anni…I’m..making it for…my…husband.” The line went quiet. Yoobin was nervous for she did not want her parents to find this type of news through the phone; especially unexpectedly. She has told her parents that she was seeing someone but never mentioned any names.

“OMO!!! YOOBIN –AH!! You have a lot of explaining to do. You can’t just be one of those celebrities to get made out of the blue and expect everyone to be ok with it. Aigo, your Appa and I were not at the wedding and what about your husband! Who is he? Do we know him? How long have the two of you been dating?”

“UMMA!! One question at a time. It’s not what you think. I’m a reality show on marriage and it is fake. I’m paired with another celebrity. I’m just making pasta for my pretend husband. Mianhae, I should of told you guys earlier; it’s just that I have been busy so I haven’t called you in a while.”

“Oh..omo! Are you on We Got Married? Aigo, I love that show especially that Adam Couple, they always make me laugh. So who is this pretend husband of yours? Will I get to meet him? Is he handsome? Rich?”

“UMMA!!”

“Araso..araso…I get it. Well can I at least talk to him? Is he with you right now?”

“Hold a sec.” Yoobin looked at Jaejoong and whispered to him if he would like to talk to her mother and before she could finish her sentence, he was already nodding with a happy smile across his face. Yoobin put the phone on speakers for both to hear and talk.

“Annyong haseyo Jaejoong imnida. I’m glad to meet you Mrs. Kim. I promise to take care of your daughter and protect her during this marriage.”

“Yeh….annoyong-haseyo. Jaejoong-sshi, I hope you don’t mind if I ask how tall are you? It’s just a visual for me to see if you match well with my daughter.”

“UMMA, why are asking such weird questions when this is the first time talking to him. Umma, don’t overdo it.”

“ It’s ok Binnie-ah. Your mom is just curious about her son-in-law since this the first time hearing about me. I’m 184 cm, well that’s what it says on my online bio. So I hope it is right.”

“Neh….that sounds like a good height for my Yoobin-ah. OMO! Did I just hear you call her by a nickname? Aigo! That is soo adorable. Yoobin-ah I like him. He sounds like a deflated balloon. Are you handsome because I want some pretty grandchildren.”

“UMMA!”

“Aigo, Yoobin-ah why are you ashamed of your Umma. Your 22 years old act like a proper woman.”Jaejoong couldn’t help but chuckle at Yoobin and her mom’s conversation. He admired her mom’s bluntness and found it cute. He wondered if Yoobin was anything like her mom. He sure wouldn’t mind having Yoobin’s mom as his mother-in-law even if it was pretend.

“I get that quite a lot so I’m not hurt. To answer the second question; guessing from my millions of screaming fans for me, I would say that I am handsome.” Smiling at Yoobin while answering to her Umma’s question. Yoobin couldn’t help but smile at Jaejoong’s dorky-ness.

“Umma, I think we have to cut this conversation short since I still have to make him dinner. I’ll call you later when I get off of work. Love you.”

“Araso. I get it; you want to spend more time with your husband. You don’t need your umma anymore.”

“Umma! That’s not what I meant. I’ll call you later. Bye.”

“Bye Yoobin-ah, love you take care. Jaejoong-sshi please watch over my daughter. Bye.”

“Bye! Omunni”

After ending her call to her mother, Yoobin couldn’t help but feel embarrassed in front of Jaejoong. She did not want Jaejoong’s first meeting with her Umma to be like this. But the more she thought about it she couldn’t help but think of Yunho. He has never been formally introduced to her parents. It seems as though Jaejoong has beaten him once again. She kept wondering how many more first times will she have with Jaejoong.

Isn’t Yunho oppa to be the one in his position right now? Why does my heart tell me otherwise? Is this even right?
