Chapter 8
Learning to love an AlphaChapter 8 - A successful proposition
Sehun was a special person. It wasn't because he was a werewolf, or because he was extraordinary handsome. It was because he was peculiar, he had a rather cold and closed off demeanor, but he was soft, caring and sweet on the inside.
He would drink and eat food that could send him into a literal coma, and the only thing he would be worried about was if they played modern TV shows in the hospital room.
He was sarcastic, sassy, always testing Kai's limits and surprising him with either the lamest or most outrageous knowledge from time to time.
But Kai was one hundred percent positive that the most startled Sehun had ever managed to leave him was right at the moment when he walked into the second last period (English literature - Sehun absolutely loathed anything that had to do with books), with a stupid smirk on his face.
Following on his heels was none other than Ara, and Kai frowned slightly. She was supposed to rest until after school, Kai had instructed Sehun through a rather awkward text message, but apparently to no avail
"Sorry we're late, Miss," Sehun announced, slumping down next to Ara all the way at the front (yes, this surprised Kai so much he almost stood up from his seat). "Ara wasn't feeling too good, had to take her to the nurse's office."
The teacher eyed him, a visible blush forming on her cheeks at the charming smile Sehun flashed her, and she dismissed him with a small wave of her hand, returning to the subject on the blackboard.
Kai didn't know why but he was restless. His foot was tapping on the floor, and he had to remind himself not to use werewolf speed when some of the students gave his foot a startled look, noticing the incessant tapping rivaling a rabbit chase .
Kai was all but fuming when Sehun suddenly leaned close to whisper something into Ara's ear, and he frowned when he heard nothing, despite using his supernatural hearing.
Was Sehun pretending to whisper? Kai soon put two and two together, eyes narrowing dangerously. Did Sehun know something? Did he know about Kai's little revelation?
"Remember your homework for next Wednesday, I'll be checking!"
The students started packing when the bell rang, signaling that everyone had 5 minutes before their last period started. Ara and Sehun were out of the classroom before Kai could even pack his books, and he quickly stood up, all but jogging out of the classroom to find the couple.
He could hear their heartbeats, the familiar thumping of Sehun's heart and the rather excited beating of Ara's. What were they two up to?
"Thanks for coming, Baek." Kai's ears perked up. Why was Baekhyun with them? He suddenly heard a familiar heartbeat nearing the little group's presence and quickened his pace, because Kyungsoo was the more sensible one out of them all, and if he was joining in on their little scheme - Kai had to stop it.
Kai could hear them nearing the rooftop on the east side of the school building, and he frowned because no one went to the rooftop, it was strictly prohibited, and the pack only went there when they had to discuss serious pack business.
Kai growled in the back of his throat, startling a student that had walked past him, and broke out into a jog. He literally scrambled up the steps to the top floor and kicked the door open, eyes flashing red in anger.
"And he's finally here, took you long enough," Sehun drawled from where he was leaning against the railing a few feet away from Kai, and the la
