Chapter 2 - We're werewolves

“You just had to scare her.”

“I didn’t expect her to faint.”

“Maybe she’s just a human?” Ara could hear rushed mumbles over her, and she slowly realized that she was resting on something soft. It took a few more seconds before the hushed conversation registered in her head, and Ara’s heart skipped a beat. 

Maybe she’s just a human. Had he kidnapped her? She was lying on a bed, so she couldn’t be in the small janitor’s closet any longer. Ara didn’t know what she had gotten herself into, and so she tried to keep her breathing steady, eyes still closed as she tried coming up with an escape plan, but the conversation suddenly came to a halt.

“We know you’re awake.” That really didn’t help calm Ara’s nerves. “You can stop pretending now.”

With a sharp intake of air, Ara slowly opened her eyes, coming face to face with three boys. One of them she recognized from earlier, and judging by the scowl on his face their relationship was still quite tense. It took her a moment before she could pinpoint exactly where she had seen the other two boys before, realizing that they had shamelessly checked her out earlier.

“Where am I?” Ara sat up straight, slowly moving back so she was leaning against the bedrest, and after taking in her surroundings she recognized the room as the nursery.

There were six beds there, and she was currently occupying the one next to a window. She did faint earlier, maybe he felt bad and took her to the nursery? That was when Ara suddenly recalled the incident from the janitor’s closet, and her eyes widened.
