“I love your voice, unnie. Can you teach me how to sing like you?” the 16 years old Yoona asked her unnie Taeyeon.

“Yoong, you’re voice is already perfect. You just need a little bit more of practice and to be more confident in yourself. You will do just fine.”

They were training like always, there were just a few months before their debut and now more than ever they had to prove to their director they had talent and could be successful.

Everyone was worried. Just nine girls will make it and debut. Others will need to wait maybe months or years before debuting.

“Do you think I’ll be able to debut soon?”Yoona asked scared. She needed some comfort.

“I promise you we’ll debut together. We’ll make it together, Yoong. You and me. We will stand together on that stage one day. I promise you.”

“Promise?” Yoona stretched out her pinkie.

“Promise.” Replied Taeyeon sticking out hers.

One year later Girls’ Generation debuted. The members were Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun.

Taeyeon and Yoona were finally able to stand on the stage together.

Taeyeon really kept the promise.
