Eleven Minutes
Our House [One-Shot/Drabble Collection]“We’re running late, ladies!” Junhee barks from the front door, hands resting on her hips.
The older woman is dress in a thin white tee-shirt with Kris’ backup black and silver basketball jersey over it, jean shorts and silver knee-high socks with black and white converses. Her hair is in a high preppy ponytail with silver ribbons tied in.
Junhee was given one responsibility tonight from Kris and that is to get everyone ready and out by seven PM for the pre-starts.
It is seven-thirty.
“I told you we should’ve pushed the others for getting ready at five, at least.” Kyungri utters by Junhee’s side.
The dark haired woman is in a black hoodie, with Kris’ jersey over it, black skinny jeans and her favorite black boots that add an extra inch to her height. Though with Kris’ jersey going pass Kyungri’s hoodie, it defeats the illusion.
“I seconded Kyungri’s movement but you declined it in thought that everyone was responsible enough. A big fat hah on that one Junhee.” Junghae comes from the living room along with Yixin.
The two are dress similar with white tank tops hidden underneath the member’s jerseys; Junghae sporting Misook's whilst Yixin sports Luhan’s, washed rip jeans and converses in hand. Yixin, though, has her black hair tied up with silver ribbons, like Junhee, and with a little wolf face paint on her right cheek. Junghae’s hair is straight with nothing to add.
“The little wolf looks so cute, Yixin! I should’ve asked Tao to draw one on me…” Junhee pouts.
“Too late for that now,” Junghae remarks.
Baekhee interrupts from the second floor with her wavy rose curls out of control; her feet slip and she tries to stop herself from sliding down to no avail. “I need someone to help me with my pigtails! This hair has a mind of its own!”
Junghae’s about to make a comment but Tao’s call from the first floor bathroom stops her.
Baekhee scurries to the bathroom, dodging Jungin and Chanyoung who exit the laundry room.
The two join the others; Chanyoung sports Misook’s jersey with black rip skinny jeans, a long black tee-shirt and the team’s hat over her straight black hair. Jungin wears Luhan’s jersey with Kris’ basketball shorts as she sports the team’s hat as well but backwards with her silver-blonde hair in a ponytail.
Junhee glances at her wristwatch and lets a cry out, “It’s seven-forty-one! Hurry Tao, Baekhee!”
“Yeah, hurry your asses up!” Junghae hollers from over Yixin’s shoulders.
“You can’t rush beauty!” Tao replies.
“Looks like we’ll be here for years then,” Chanyoung mutters under her breath.
By the time Tao is finish “perfecting” Baekhee’s pigtails, it is eight’o’eight. The game starts at eight fifteen.
Apparently the two had planned their outfits to match as they came out dress the same; short black shorts that were almost hidden underneath the member jerseys (Tao wore Kris’ whilst Baekhee wore Misook’s), silver knee-high socks, small heels and hairstyles identical to each wave. Expect that Baekhee’s color was rose and Tao’s was sporting her newly dyed platinum blonde hair.
“Done?” Yixin asks.
The two nod with pretty smiles but then Baekhee sees Kyungri in Kris’ longer jersey and speaks up, “Kyungri, are you sure you want to wear Kris’? We could trade, ya know? This outfit would be completed if I were wearing the same jersey as Tao and-” the front door opens and then closes mid-sentence.
There is now one less person in the house.
“Take that as a no Baekhee.” Jungin humors the frowning rose haired woman.
Taking Kyungri’s leave as the sign to put shoes on, everyone piles by the front door; Junhee outside holding the screen door open.
“By the way, why do you always want Kris’ jersey Baekhee?” Junghae inquires.
The latter gasps. “Why? Because it’s longer then Misook’s and Luhan’s and it’d totally make this outfit cuter if the jersey was longer, duh.”
Junghae nods like she actually understands her logic, “You’re right Baekhee. 'Cause what you’re wearing right now just isn’t slu-” –Junhee gives her a deadly glare but she keeps talking away with a smirk– “-ttier enough. Not changing my word for that glare, Kim.”
Jungin hops outside, shivering at the chilly air of the night. “It’s like you’re talking to yourself every time you say Junhee’s last name.”
Everyone pauses and gives Jungin a look of bewilderment.
“Your last name’s Kim, too.”
“…it is!” Jungin whispers in amazement as the thought dawns on her.
“Out! Out!” Junhee cuts in with a sigh.
“Wait! I think we’re missing one more head.” Yixin suddenly speaks.
“No. Kyungri left, remember?” Baekhee informs.
“No, no. Not Kyungri. Seyun.” Everyone falls silent for the snarky youngest to speak but she doesn’t.
“O.M.G we almost forgot Seyun!” Tao screams bloodily murder and attempts to head back into the house to search for her but the loud sound of a van’s sliding door opening pauses her, and everyone else, in front of the door. They all turn toward where the van is.
There is Seyun, dress in matching colors and bright rainbow pigtails (if you look close enough, you can make out the silhouette of Kyungri in the back seat). She moves her arms outwardly and taps her right wrist with her left hand and says, sassily, “You do realize we are, like, eleven minutes late to the game, right?”
