세븐틴: Date with an Angel part. 1: Minghao's Wish

 

          The sun shines brightly up in the sky, and the weather was totally perfect for a date. The8 and Jeonghan spent their time wisely. They went to places that made them reminisce their childhood. Jeonghan really enjoyed it! It was just simple but meaningful date. Besides, that was the first time that Jeonghan saw The8 acted so manly because he cared for him so much that it resembled a man protecting his girl from any harm. At the same time, he never failed to give him a ‘best friend’ feel, playing and fooling around.

 

Jeonghan:

Minghao yah~ Thank you for this date. I really enjoyed it!

 

The 8:

That’s a relief.

(Smiled)

Hyung,

(They sat beside a fountain and saw a cotton candy stand near it.)

Wait.

(He ran to the stall and bought two. One for each. The8 immediately returned to Jeonghan as soon as he already had those fluffy, colourful candies.)

Here.

(Smiled cutely.)

 

Jeonghan:

Oh, you’re so adorable!

Thank you.

(Took a big bite as he got excited through the fluffiness of the candy.)

 

The 8:

(Looked at him with a smile.)

Hyung~ Saranghae.

(He stared and told him with a serious, sincere, deep voice.)

 

Jeonghan:

(Titled his head and smiled.)

Saranghae, my Minghao~

(Embraced him tightly.)

 

The 8:

Let’s go home?

(He thought that Jeonghan might be tired)

 

Jeonghan:

Okay then!

(He thought that The8 was exhausted because he exerted so much effort in their cute date; however, he realized that he was wrong after The8 replied to him.)

 

The8:

There are too many who wanted your attention inside the house. I don’t want you to get tired because of my selfishness. I want to spend more time but maybe next time.

I guess, I’m lucky I came first!

(He displayed a cute sincere smile.)

Hyung…

(He held the angel’s hand gently.)

Don’t be sick anymore.

 

Jeonghan:

(He saw that he was so worried about him.)

I cannot promise that but can you promise me that you’ll stay by my side instead?

(He knew that The8 would love to take that responsibility.)

 

The8:

I will always be by your side. Just call me and I’ll be there.

 

Jeonghan:

Alright! That’s a relief then.

Our Minghao, thank you because you take good care of me.

 

The 8:

That was nothing because I love you.

(Spoke with his sweet voice.)

 

Jeonghan:

It is an honour to be loved by you, my sunflower.

 

The 8:

Ei, hyung~

 

Jeonghan:

(He remembered that his fairy had an injury on his back.)

My fairy, is your back okay now?

I want you to be honest.

 

The8:

Yeah, I’m fine now.

(Expressed an honest smile.)

Don’t worry about it. It’s just a bruise.

 

          They stood up on their seats and walk home. The8 was enjoying the moment with him while walking under a bright blue sky.

 

The 8:

The weather looks good. Perfect for our day!

(Looking up in the sky.)

Hyung?

(Transferred his gaze to his pretty hyung.)

 

Jeonghan:

Hmm?

(Gave The8 an endearing wide eyes.)

 

The 8:

Can I date you some other time? I’ll prepare more.

 

Jeonghan:

Anytime, The8.

(Smiled at him.)

 

The 8:

(His body just moved adorably by shaking his body without him noticing.)

I am always the first one to reserve your time, hyung.

(He was so grateful and happy while playing with Jeonghan’s soft hands.)

 

          Jeonghan found him so adorable. He wished that they had more time together to know him better, but since he’s a good kid, he thought of the others and limit his time to give them a chance.

 

The 8:

Sometimes…

(He paused for a second while Jeonghan was anticipating his next statement.)

 

Jeonghan:

What is it?

 

          The8 smiled cutely while staring at the angel in front of him wondering of his reaction if he told him what was in his mind.

 

The 8:

(Told it anyway.)

Sometimes I wish I could marry you.

(He giggled cutely.)

 

          Jeonghan was surprised but he just found him cute and accepted his statement. He knew that The8 is still young and innocent. He’s free to say what’s in his heart. Minghao’s words did not seem to bother the both of them as they held hands while walking home.

 

          They came back early in the afternoon. The people in their house were surprised that they came back so early. They thought that it would took them long because The8 mentioned that he owned that day with Jeonghan and he prepared a lot.

 

Seungkwan:

Why so early?

 

Jeonghan:

You’re all lucky because The8 is considerate of you guys.

(Asked the next person in line.)

Deokyeomie~ Where will we go next?

 

DK:

I want to go to a cinema with you, hyung!

(He smiled and ran to their room to get dressed.)

I’ll just change my clothes. Wait. Rest for a while.

 

Jeonghan:

Alright. Get dressed!

 

Vernon:

Aren’t you going to get tired, hyung?

(Concerned with their beautiful short haired angel.)

 

Jeonghan:

How can I? I feel like a king, Vernonie.

We’ll be back.

(Sent them a flying kiss before leaving.)

 

Seungkwan and Dino:

Daebak!

 

          Their date went well. It was a regular day out watching a film but what made their day exciting was their dinner. DK asked Jeonghan to eat not in an expensive restaurant but in a market because he missed eating street food. Jeonghan agreed because he had the same craving as his dongsaeng. DK made sure that people won’t recognize them so they wore masks to cover their faces. They went straight to a stall near the entrance and ordered one serving of food for them to share because they decided to roam around the place to eat on every stall. Given that every store had their own specialty and they want to taste everything.

 

While exploring the market, DK never forgets to take Jeonghan’s picture in everything he does. Their stomachs were alreadyfull and decided to stop munching on those delicious street food. They also bought some for their friends at the dorm.

 

DK:

Hyung?

 

Jeonghan:

(Answered him with his wide eye and pouty lips)

Saranghae Deokyeomie~

 

DK:

I love you more, hyung.

(Exposing his big smile with a crescent-shaped eyes.)

I wish I could be your prince that time.

(Resenting that he did not act bravely like what Mingyu did.)

 

Jeonghan:

You are always be my prince.

 

DK:

Though I am not the only one.

 

Jeonghan:

(He was surprised that he got sad over it and changed the topic in an instant.)

Deokyeom ah, thank you because you love me so much! You make me smile every time.

 

DK:

It’s always my pleasure, hyung. I hope I could make you smile always.

 

Jeonghan:

Stay just the way you are, DK. I love you so much.

(He ended their serious conversation with a tight hug.)

 

DK:

So does that mean that I am your ‘Fool Prince’?

(Brought back the ‘prince’ issue.)

 

          Jeonghan burst out a loud laughter seeing Seokmin act cutely while swaying his body.

 

Jeonghan:

Seokmin-ah, whose fool are you?

 

DK:

(He was hesitant to answer because of the crowd around him.)

Ah, hyung~

 

Jeonghan:

(Noticed that they were in a middle of a huge crowd.)

Alright. I know.

(He held DK’s hand and pulled him over a quiet corner.)

Again~ whose fool are you Seokmin-ah?

 

DK:

(He found it amusing because Jeonghan never gives up.)

J-Jeonghan hyu-

(Looking around the, making sure that no one would hear them.)

Aigoo~ Jeonghan hyung’s fool.

(His face turned really red after saying that.)

 

Jeonghan:

Good job!

(He was satisfied with his response.)

 

DK:

Hyung, let’s go somewhere before going home.

 

Jeonghan:

Where?

 

DK:

Let’s find a restaurant for a desert since it’s not available here.

 

Jeonghan:

Okay.

Your choice.

 

DK:

I want to have a bingsu!

 

Jeonghan:

Call!

(Burped.)

Oh my~ I’m full but let’s go!

(He laughed.)

 

          They went to a bingsu place before going home. DK took a lot of pictures as an evidence that they had a happy date.

 

          When they came home, DK informed the other kids that they bought some food for them, so they gathered in the kitchen and eat all of it. Meanwhile, Jeonghan looked at the innocent Di Caprio to see if he’s ready for his turn. The boy was holding a stick, busy munching over a fishcake.

 

Jeonghan:

Vernonie?

 

Vernon:

(Had no clue at the moment because he was into the food.)

Yes?

 

Jeonghan:

Are you ready for your turn?

 

Vernon:

Tomorrow.

(He smiled as if he prepared something.)

 

Jeonghan:

Alright.

(He smiled back.)

 

S.Coups:

I’ll get this chance!

(He immediately stole the vacant slot.)

 

          Nobody cared. They did not fight over it, which made the two eldest members astounded. They kept on eating and seemed that it was okay for S.Coups to take over Vernon’s place. Jeonghan was thinking that they might have prepared something for him.

 

S.Coups:

Since no one objects…

(He held Jeonghan’s hand and pulled him to the living room for a quiet environment.)

Those brats!

 

Jeonghan:

You got lucky Coups!

 

          S.Coups prepared his phone with an earphone plugged on it. Seungcheol planned to spend just a simple time together. The black haired man sat on the soft couch and pulled Jeonghan very close to him. The feminine looking boy seated in between Seungcheol’s thighs and leaned his back against Seungcheol’s chest. Then, Coups carefully put the other earphone into Jeonghan’s ears and one on him.

 

Jeonghan:

What will we watch?

 

S.Coups:

Anything interesting!

(It’s obvious that he did not plan anything.)

 

          What they did was they opened youtube and typed ‘Seventeen’ they saw several fan made videos and that includes their savage moments and ships. Jeonghan got interested in their ship videos and watched it. They were having a lot of fun while watching some of it because they never knew that fans would think of them that way. They also checked out funny compilations and laughed over it. They realized that many things happened within a short span of time. Each members grew a lot; in addition, they remembered how innocent they were back in their debut days but look at where they are now! They were reaching their dreams and continue to grow together. By just watching the videos, they knew their fans were also working hard for them.

 

          They thought of making a video together by singing a song for their Carats. It was just for fun but they did their best to serenade those people who were supporting them and promised them that they’ll work hard to their future projects.

 

          After making their video, Coups decided to play a relaxing music for the both of them to rest. Jeonghan borrowed Seungcheol’s phone to scan his gallery. He sure took a lot of candid shots of them and he was very happy viewing them. Jeonghan the camera and had a photo taken together and posted it immediately in their account.

 

          The exhausted pretty boy somewhat fell asleep on Coups’ arms. Meanwhile Cheol was carefully watching and looking into Jeonghan’s heavenly face while stealthy removing the earphones from their ears.

 

S.Coups:

You’re quiet when you are in a deep sleep.

(Waited for another moment.)

Han-ah?

(He carefully checked if Jeonghan really had fallen asleep.)

Hanie?

(Called him for the second time.)

Saranghae~

(He whispered it through his ears.)

 

          Seungcheol extended his arms as he nudged his elbow onto his knees for Jeonghan to relax in his sleep. He carefully arranged Jeonghan’s position in his most comfortable position possible to rest his body.

 

Jeonghan:

(He still replied after a few minutes, whispering with a weak voice.)

Saranghae~

(Then smiled; even though, he couldn’t open his eyes.)

 

S.Coups:

(Cheol was surprised and just smile.)

Whose baby are you?

(Tried it for once and see what would happen.)

 

Jeonghan:

Cou-peu-seu’ ba-by.

(He replied with a smile and fading voice.)

 

S.Coups:

You really like these things, aren’t you?

Okay, Good night!

(Coups’ smile never leaves his pale handsome face.)

 

          S.Coups was satisfied with Jeonghan’s reply and slept together on the couch. He did not let Jeonghan be disturbed by any unnecessary movement so he retained his muscles from moving. When Jeonghan was really in his deepest dreams, he transferred him to his bed and looked at him until he too had fallen asleep.
