Description
Being thrown out by their family since early childhood, Lee Haerin (18) had been the one supporting her sick little brother, Lee Sungjong (14), and herself. No one wanted to recruit because of her young age and inexperience. She went around town everyday for the sake of finding something to feed them and occasionally stealing medicines for Sungjong when there's no money available. She fell for Woohyun, a cheerful and bright social worker while he was handling free breakfast one morning. But, the problem is he was 180 degree different from her. How will it turns out? Meanwhile a gangster named Hoya is falling for Haerin and try to lure her into his life.
Characters:
Lee Haerin
An unfortunate girl who had been thrown out together with her sick little brother at the age 8. Eversince she had been struggling to feed them both and get medicines for Sungjong. She grew to be an introvert girl as there was too many things to worry inside her head. Her one and only companion was her brother. She never speak out her mind even to her brother. She believed that nobody cared for them and complaining to others will never help their condition. She steal things, snatch wallets and basically did anything that would feed her brother as he was her everything.
Lee Sungjong
Haerin's sick little brother. He had been sick from young age and that had been one of the reasons why their parents throw them out. He's a caring and sweet little brother. He worried about his sister's safety and health and yet he couldn't do anything about it. At times, he constantly thought about killing himself to ease his sister's burden, but he realized that he was Haerin's only companion. If he's gone, she will be all alone and sad. That's what keeping him strong.
Nam Woohyun
He came from a well off family. His parents own a franchise company and they often gave free meal handouts to the needy. He loved to do social working and helping other people. He is very nice and bright as he grew in a warm and happy family. He never experience any difficulties in his life and had always lived a comfortable life.
Lee Howon (Hoya)
He was a gangster who owned a nightclub in hongdae area. Everybody feared and listened to his every words. Like Haerin, he was thrown out of his family and that's the reason why he grew up to be a heartless, mean man. Many said he doesn't have heart as he killed a man in front of the man's son once. It's true, he's heartless, but Haerin was the only exception for him.
