Three weeks flew since the incident with the hunters.
After helping Nam Joon, Jung Ho Seok, the fairy, went home, blessing us on five generations. The angel, him, came back on Earth two days ago as if nothing had happened; he said that he rested well.
But, although there was nothing to report on our side, the TV had saddening and horrific news to announce: cases of mysterious murders kept occurring the whole weeks, the persons were either men or women, and the state of the corpses was dreadful as their chests were wide opened and their hearts teared out, nowhere to be seen.
“Wow!”
As of now, Kim Nam Joon, who seemed overly excited by the show, and I were watching a drama on another calm Saturday night.
The small girl pushed a car with the man that had been bothering a woman inside it. It span endlessly and he screamed like an idiot, while the young man next to me laughed.
I smiled and watched the scene end as the main male character appeared. Then Nam Joon suddenly hit the space key, stopping the drama and quickly standing up. “Toilet break,” he said before running out of the room.
I laid my head on the pillow, “Why is it so calm these days? Not like I love being in danger... But it's weird...”

Startled, I jumped when the familiar ringtone filled the silence, and clumsily left the bed to grab my cellphone.

“Yobeoseyo?*”
“Yong Gi-yah, it's me.”
“Oh, Eomoni, h-”
“Is Na Young at your house?”
“No, she's not... Why?”
“It's already late but she didn't come home yet.”
“Did you try calling her?”
“She's not answering. I sent Na Ra look around the neighborhood, but her father is on a business trip and I can't run. Would you go search at the café?”
“Yes, of course!” I ran out of my bedroom and hurtled down the stairs, “Report to the police, Eomoni, I'll try calling her instead.”
Without even taking the time to grab a jacket or tell anyone I was going out, I exited the house hurriedly, taping on my device's screen.
Na Young's phone was ringing, but the tones just leaded to the automatic voice, The owner of the number you're calling isn't available-
When I arrived at her part-time job, as I had expected, the café was closed. So I moved around, yelling her name across the streets, and asking peoples as I showed them a picture of my friend, “Excuse me, did you see this girl? She's about this tall?”
But all their answers were the same, they shook their heads negatively.
So I continued to run and scream at the top of my lungs, earning judging looks from peoples, until my phone vibrated in my hand.
Kim Na Young
“Hey! Where are you?!” I blurted heavily, then gasped for some oxygen.
“Chae Dak Building's* roof.”
It was a man.
“Who are you?!”
“I repeat, Chae Dak Building's roof.”
The voice was low and threatening. The following beeps were my signal to speed up through Seoul's alleys, shouting at passers-by to get out of my way. The high business building rapidly came in sight, then nearer, and I didn't bother to slow down as I jumped over the automatic doors; I could thank my athletic capacities.
The guards ran and yelled behind me, but I couldn't hear them. Then when I arrived on the roof, the heavy metallic door slammed in my back, leaving the men bang their fists on it. Though, the loud noises quickly stopped, as if someone had made them leave.
Na Young was kneeling on the ground, hands tied in her back, muzzled and face drenched by tears. The man I met at the café was standing behind her, smirking. He pointed his index to the sky.
“I think you'll have to be obedient,” he said, voice disgustingly sweet, sarcasm filling it.
