A/N: Hello. First thing, first, I’m sorry; I think words won’t be enough to express how much I am! But to be honest, I was having a hard time, psychologically, in real life and had completely stopped writing. I think it’s the first time that this happened. Usually, when I have a writer block for one story, I write another one until I get inspiration back, it’s like washing my brain: it makes it fresh! But this time I had no inspiration at all… Though! I am now back with a fresher mind thanks to that hiatus! I have a lot of ideas and I think writing will go a lot more smoothly from on. Thank you very much for your patience! You are amazing!

 

“So you’re saying that my mother asked, I suppose, the Deities to lock the seal and put a disappearance spell on it for me to be a normal kid? Then the incantation must be something I heard a lot from her…since she knew that there would be a day when I’ll need it…” I had been sitting in the humid grass for about fifteen minutes, mulling over Yoon Gi’s advice. At some point, the goblin fell asleep on his folded knees. And he jumped like a kitten when someone yelled my name, the high-pitched voice echoed in the forest and resonated in my head, as if it was in a bell tower. “Yong Gi-yaaaAAAaaAAh!!” “!” he cursed. “Who the hell!” “I have something to show youuuuuuuu~!!” Na Young bounced to us. She was smiling widely, but her eyes were puffy and shiny. I leaped up, “Did you cry??” “Yeah but I’m okay now.” She waved her hands to emphasize her statement. “I actually discovered something amazing. It’s a bit scary, though. That’s why. Don’t worry, after reflection, I honestly like it!” “What is it?” “Give me your hands.” I obeyed. She put a small book, about psychic abilities, on my palms. Her eyes squinted and her brows furrowed as an heavy mask of concentration fell on her features. After a few breaths, the book slightly, and shakily rose from my hands. “Woah!! You’re doing this?!” Yoon Gi suddenly stood up and stared at the book with wide eyes. His abrupt move startled me, but Na Young was too focused to even care. “Yeah, but-” The book fell. “I can’t hold a long time…” she pouted. “How are you able to- I mean… You’re a Creature?!” “No. I’m human.” “Then-” “I heard rumors about this phenomenon. But it’s the first time I see a real case…” Yoon Gi mumbled- he seemed dumbfounded. I arced a brow and gave him an amused judging look. “Could you explain what’s this old man babbling about?” “I’m a Sorceress!” exclaimed my friend. “Well actually, I became one,” she then added, more to herself. “So you’re an human, but with powers?“ “Yep!” “Why?” A smile lifted her lips, small and sad. I tilted my head, quietly questioning her. “Just know that it’s not your fault, Yong Gi-yah. And I don’t resent you at all, okay?” I frowned. “Okay… I guess?” “There’s this: in really rare cases, humans who had shocking experiences related to magic develop psychic abilities.” I swallowed and looked down, reminded of that night. I hated it, wanted to forget it, but couldn’t. “Yong Gi-yah, I’m alright,” Na Young softly caressed the side of my head and bent forward to meet my eyes. She was smiling, as always. “I’m really alright. So don’t beat yourself. I say it again, it’s not your fault.” I nodded once. “You know, most of the time, those abilities consist of a special development of the five senses. But some times, the person also acquires one, or more, sixth sense,” she further explained. “I’m one of these ‘even more special cases’! It’s amazing, right!“ I smiled fondly as I saw her eyes disappear in crescents. “Of course an oddball like you would be.” She grinned, then followed me in my laughter. Na Young surely will have a psychological weakness for some time, it was unavoidable. But she was strong; I knew she would be able to get better, as she already was back on her feet. Furthermore, it seemed that, like me, magic suited her better than reality, we both were more comfortable with creatures than with humans. I wouldn't know how to describe it, but humans and their world was just too normal. Yoon Gi’s face softened and he tried to repress a smile, which he failed to do by the way. Then he took the book from my hands, examined both covers and asked, “Do you have other capacities?” “Maybe but I don’t know yet.
