  “Nam Joon!!” “I’m okay… Don’t worry.” His voice was shaking. He clenched his jaw with a groan and heavily breathed, “Release him before the hunters come.” But I couldn’t move. I watched him owl-eyed, frightened like a kitten- Nam Joon was injured, I was on my own. “Hurry up!” he then exclaimed, ripping me out of my stupor. I ran to the cage and almost threw myself on the concrete ground, kneeling to pull it to my lap. The glint had stopped tossing, it seemed to wait as I was searching for a way to open the object. But there was none. The thunders’ sounds were pummeling my ears. My head felt like it was going to blow up, yet I could merely stare at the small prison- it was our last hope, but it had disappeared and the hunters were now entering my peripheral view. I quickly stood up, hugging the cage to my chest. “Why are you able to touch it?” asked the man on the left. “Only humans should.” I frowned, What are they talking about? And stated, “I am human.” The man in the middle scoffed, “Don’t try to fool us, creature. You must be pretty strong to use such a trick. We’ll get a good reward for killing you.” He shot me a nasty smile, I swallowed down difficultly and slowly stepped back. The phalanx of my fingers whitened as they crooked on the bars of the cage and I desperately prayed and begged it to open. Then, I heard an almost imperceptible click. Looking down, I was surprised to see the glint already out, and growing bigger. The three men were as startled. But not for long, as they pulled shining, suspicious-looking stones from their pockets. Then when my gaze went back to the glint, the glittering creature was now of human size, and next thing I knew, he was suddenly throwing himself in my direction. My eyes shut tightly, he grabbed my shoulders and pushed me to the ground. There were explosions, the invisible wall my back was pressed against shook, then there was nothing. Expect an heavy hot breath hitting my face and the wince for my bottom that left my lips. When I peeked through my half opened lids, a chest immediately came in my sight and I crooked my neck upward to see a young man, softly smiling at me. His arms were on both sides of my head, as he was supporting himself on the wall, and his knees on both side of my lying legs. He had slender lips, with a mole decorating it at the top, long and bubbly eyes, and bright orange hair. “Are you… okay?” He was panting; the cage’s neutralizer must have wore him out. I nodded and he quickly stood up, pulling me to my feet by the wrist he had grabbed. There was a short silence, then one of the hunters angrily spat at the fairy, “Back off or die with her!” My protector lifted his hands palm to palm, murmuring few words in elvish; Fairies are not really fighters, but they do know offensive magic. A strong wave of heat emanated from his body, and when he slowly opened his hands, fire spun between them to form a fire ball. Shock took the men’s faces- it was an elvish spell, and, even if the one deployed by the fairy was less powerful then elves’, very few creatures were able to use them.
