A/N: Hey~ New subscriber-nim, thank you very much~   Hwa Sa and Jun Young had gone home: we were going to stay in the Elf village until things got better so they they went to make our luggages. But I wasn’t allowed to go out yet. In the time being, I slipped in a pair of dark brown leggings and pulled the long-sleeved, down to ankles, sky blue dress on my head, put my feet in black low boots, then headed out. These were Elvish clothes, but elves were not particularly sensitive to low (or high) temperatures, hence they were not using jackets. However, the fabric was a special one of their creation that would keep them warm enough. Well, I'm not an elf and I don't know if it will work the same on me... Anyways, I was just going a few meters away. When I stepped out of my room, which actually was a tent from the outside, I faced two young women. We seemed to be the same age, at least in human years. But both were really pretty. And it was a bit intimidating. They respectively had red and orange hair, and were a bit shorter than me, one more than the other (but at the same time, being 170 cm tall, I kind of was on the tall side, I guess?). We bowed to each others. “We are here to accompany you, Sung Yong Gi-ssi,” declared the shorter one. “My name is Kim Ji Soo. Great to meet you.” “And my name is Lalisa Manoban. It’s an honor.” “Huh?” They once again bowed. Which I repeated- it would have been disrespectful otherwise. I think I was a bit embarrassed too. “Why are you so formal? I mean, it seems like we are the same age but I would tend to think you are actually older?” “Well, maybe. But you are the Goddess, Yeoshin, so naturally we have to-” “No. I’m not- … I’m just me, so don’t be like that, please.” Ji Soo’s eyes opened a bit bigger and Lalisa turned to her as if her answer was going to change the world. “Sorry that I cut you. How old are you?” “I’m twenty years old in human age,” first replied Lalisa since her friend was caught in thinking. Then Ji Soo quietly said, “I’m twenty two. But… Is it really not a problem?” “Not at all! Call me Yong Gi and don’t use a formal speech,” I smiled. “Nice to meet you, Unniz.” They relaxed. “You were going to visit your friend, right?” Ji Soo asked, informally by the way. “Yes.” “It’s that way.” The elves smiled back and gently leaded me. It was now the start of February, winter was soon coming to an end and snow had given its place on the green ground to water drops. The Elf village was only composed of big, green tents, that most likely were real houses inside, and was only surrounded by a thick canopy, that seemed to ascend to the grey-clouded sky. My attention was caught by the floor lamps planted here and there- there was no way electricity was coming up to here. “These are powered by magic.” Well, Lalisa unfolded the mystery. She had what I called a chipmunk voice (and she did look like a squirrel), with a cute accent. “Where are you from?” “Seoul/Thailand,” answered the girls in synchronization. Ji Soo, surprised, turned to Lalisa then to me and exclaimed as she understood, “Ah! You were talking to Lisa?” “Well, I noticed that she had an accent,” I said with a giggle. Her reaction was funny as she seemed sorry for misunderstanding. “But I’m happy to know where you are from too!” We laughed together and arrived in front of the Kim family’s tent. There was two young elves in front of it, to who my guides waved their hands. Once again, one of them was almost my height and the other was shorter, like Lalisa and Ji Soo. But here the taller girl had dark hair while the second girl had brown hair with blond locks. They also were really pretty and, not smiling, they seemed cold like ice; pretty much like any elf. The duo was about to greet me but I saw Ji Soo, in the corner of my eyes, making horizontal moves from right to left with her hand to her neck. They frowned in incomprehension. “Don’t be formal, please. Simply call me Yong Gi. I’m younger than you and no one special,” I said to clarify. But they still seemed uncertain so Ji Soo decided to help, “The one on the left is Park Chae Young, she is the same age as Lisa, and on the right is Kim Jennie, a ninety six liner. The four of us are one of the fighter team,” she introduced her friends and added a ta-da pose with her last sentence. Jennie smiled, “We’ve never been in any fight yet, though!” The girls bursted laughing in embarrassment, but their faces were bright and it made me chuckle how cute they were. “You came to see Na Young-ssi, I suppose?” then asked Chae Young. “Yes. Is she inside?” She nodded, moving to the tent. “Wait, Unni!” I called. “I think I should enter first.” They gave me interrogative looks, of course. “That’s… Um… There’s a big chance that she'll play bowling… with herself as the ball and you as, uh… the pins,” I tried to explain clumsily. When I penetrated in the room, she almost immediately jumped on me like a fury; I didn’t miss but it wasn’t her usual way of happily embracing me, and she broke in tears larger than her face, calling my name between her heavy sobs, hugging me like a life line. “Everything’s okay now, Na Young. I’m really…really sorry that you had to live this…” My voice trembled and more gasping sobs filled the room. “I didn’t want to involve you in this, I tried not to! I’m sorry…”     After buckets of tears could have been filled, Na Young and I finally calmed down and sat on her bed. “I’m sorry…” “It’s not your fault, Yong Gi-yah. You…couldn’t have guessed he would do something like this.” “Do you know what happened and why?” “Yeah. Nídhil-ssi told me… It’s horrible. Are you alright?” “Mmh,” I hummed as I looked around the room: it was a single one, similar to mine. “By the way, where are your parents and Na Ra Unni?” “My parents went home to take some stuffs and Na Ra is at work. Caranor-ssi said they will be protected by elves but they’ll be invisible. And they have their own tents.” “I see…” I nodded. “Na Young-ah. Now, no one will ever hurt you again. Your family will be safe, and you will be too. Everything’s gonna be alright. I promise it,” I declared, reaching for her small hands and looking deep in her shining eyes. “Don’t cry. I know it’s easier said than done but try to forget about this.” She shook her head, gesturing that she wasn’t crying, but as she shutted her lids tightly, wet drops fell on our hands. I frowned- I hated to see her like that. Silently, my arms slid around her, letting her forehead rest on my shoulder.     That night, the village was frenetic. There were peoples running everywhere in every direction, yells and screams from kids playing with their toys, interjections between adults making last minute prepara
