Amber puts her hand on her girlfriend’s shoulder, trying to comfort her. Krystal looks up and fans her eyes willing the tears to stop flowing.

They’re currently at the airport. Seulgi’s parents, her brother, Irene, and even Wendy, are all here to send off Seulgi.

Seulgi’s eyes disappear as they exchange stories with Irene and her parents. Krystal takes Amber’s hand, and asks in a low voice.

“Am… do you still think Irene and Seulgi should have ended up together?”

Amber sighs. Even after the two broke up, she was so convinced that they complemented each other. That is, until Wendy came along.

“I know you’ve been thinking that even after she started dating Wendy. That’s why you weren’t close with her before.”

Amber chuckles at her girlfriend’s observation. Wendy is wonderful, but Amber shipped Seulgi and Irene hard.

“Actually, it’s because I know Irene. I knew back then that she needed Seulgi. But we all grew up, didn’t we? And it turned out that they don’t belong to each other anymore. That they needed to let each other go.” Amber smiled, glancing at her best friend.

“Huh. That makes sense.”

“And as her best friend, you should know that Seulgi deserves to be happy too. Look at her now.”

Seulgi takes turns hugging each one of her family members and friends. She hugs Irene particularly tight.
