“Jungkook” his father interpellated him as he was rushing out of the house without having breakfast. Not that he usually eats something in the morning. “I have something for you”

Jungkook's rested his eyes on his shoes as he put them on, then on his shoes laces, he laced his shoes as slowly as he could not wanting to lift up his head and tangle his eyes into his father's.

“Jungkook, is there a problem?”  His father questioned as he looked through a client's file. “Why don't you ever look at me or even talk to me?”

“It's nothing dad. I'm just in a rush and school is keeping me busy” 

It wasn't nothing, it was far from being nothing. Jungkook began to behave indifferently around his father months ago, when his eyes landed on his progenitor's and inevitably when he came to be aware of his thoughts, of how his father feels about him. Jungkook tries to steer clear of him as much as he can now. Only coming to sleep and nothing more. He tries to not rely on him as well, thus the reason he got himself a part time job.

Jungkook knew his father won't ask more questions, won't confront him more, he was too busy for him. Work always came first. 

“Here” The adult switched the conversation. “It's a letter from your mother. She told me to give it to you when you turn sixteen but I had completed forgotten about it. I found it recently while looking into old stuff in the garage”

Jungkook's mother passed away the day he was born from postpartum hemorrhage. He heard a few stories about her when he was younger from his father but mostly from his aunts or uncles and he saw her pictures, he saw the resemblances.
