Changmin’s POV

Sook joo is heartbroken.

I began to panic and reached out from my pocket giving her a small candy.

She looked back at me her eyes b with tears. “Peppermint candies.” she mumbled.

“Yes. Why?” I asked not certain why she’s being sentimental about the candies.

“Nothing oppa.” She smiled. “I just remembered something.” She said taking it from me. “Thank you.”

There was an awkward silence that enveloped both of us inside that room. I was just lost for words to say. She stood up and led her way towards the oven. I looked at Sook joo with bewilderment as she sat down by the oven pulling her burnt cake.

Is she serious?

Tears started to flow down her eyes. I am crazy about food but I will never cry because of a cake.

“Sook joo?” I nudged her trying to understand the way she thinks. I am sure she was fine a few minutes ago. Is she crying because of the cake? I voice out my thoughts.  “That is just a cake.” It sounded weird coming from me, since I have an endless appetite. “It’s not normal to cry because of food.”

“I know.” She sobbed silently. “Are you angry with me oppa?” she asked looking sorry.

She continued on apologizing. “I’m really sorry oppa. I didn’t mean to burn the food. I am better than this.”

“Are you sure you know how to cook?”

She looks hurt and indignant, “Of course.” Then sighed. “But I can’t prove that with a burnt cake, right?”

“Absolutely not” I smirked reaching over the cake and tearing it apart. “Look the middle is not totally burnt.” I said peeling the black layers. Sook joo looked at me with her big brown eyes, pleading. I shook my head as we engage in a mental battle.

“Eat it.” She finally said.

“No.” then my stomach grumbled.

“Just take a bite to know.”

 “I don’t want to.” I resisted.

She reached out and took the piece from me shoving a small part of it in . “See, it’s not that bad oppa. I think the taste is alright.”

I watched her chew without flinching. She is insane. First she started off offering a proposal that in no way will benefit me, burned my kitchen down and now she wants me to eat her failure pastry. She’s making me do thing

Hohoho. Indeed. Someone is jealous.
It's just a cake though.

But if they wanted their plan to work, sook joo should be more serious. It's funny how she was the one who proposed the idea and yet it looks like changmin who is the one determined. Nyahaha.
