After having three days off, Dae-young kept his words to meet the General and told him about his engagement to Myeong Ju.

“You already proposed to her?” the General asked when Dae-young came to his office.

“Yes, sir.”

General Yoon only nodded several times and looked at Dae-young. “I’ll tell Myeong Ju’s mother about this and to prepare for your wedding. I must say, since Yoo Si Jin’s wedding, I want to do the same thing for you and my daughter. You don’t mind with military wedding, do you?”

“No, sir and thank you, sir.”

“Good.” And then, the General smiled. “If I may ask, how did you propose to Myeong Ju? With taking her to dinner?”

Dae-young cleared his throat. Major Yoo was right, the General might not be pleased with how he asked Myeong Ju to marry him.

“No, sir. I proposed to her at the place Major Yoo and I usually went together with me wearing dress uniform.”

The General raised eyebrows. “Dress uniform?”

“I asked Major Yoo how he proposed to Dr. Kang and I just...follow him.”

General Yoon only took a deep breath. “I see.” He looked again at Dae-young. “As your soon-to-be-father, I want to tell you congratulations. I hope the best for your wedding with my daughter.”

Dae-young smiled. “Thank you, sir...father.”

The General only smiled slightly.

At lunch time, Si Jin took his tray and sat on a table along with other soldiers. When he was about to eat his lunch, Joon Ha put his tray on the table and sat across the Major. Si Jin raised his  eyebrows.

“Sir,” Joon Ha greeted.

Si Jin smiled and started to eat his lunch.

Joon Ha fiddled with his spoon before staring at Si Jin. “If I may ask, sir, how did you have relationship with Dr. Kang?”

Si Jin almost choked his food while Joon Ha’s eyes widened. The other soldiers watched them with curiosity.

“What?” the Major asked in disbelief.

“I’m just curious, sir,” Joon Ha said again.

“I once told one of my men that he was about to swap curiosity with his life and I don’t really want to do that with you, Captain Lee.”

Joon Ha smiled. “I’m sorry if I offended you, sir.”

“Gosh...you nearly choked me to death.” Si Jin took a deep breath. “Did my former team tell you?”

“I heard stories,” the Captain answered, “about you met with Dr. Kang before Urk, how you defied the rules for her twice, and how the soldiers in the camp used to bet about you and Dr. Kang.”

“Huh?”

“That’s beside the point, sir. In my opinion, it’s better if I know this from yourself.”

Si Jin blew a breath animatedly and tilted his head, watching the Captain in front of him. He smiled. “You don’t want to know about how I have a relationship, do you, Captain? You want to know how my relationship and Dr. Kang can work.”

Joon Ha smiled back. “I know I can’t fooled the former Captain of Team Alpha.”

“Is this about the cute nurse in Haesung?”

Joon Ha blinked. “How did you...”

“My wife told me she met you at the hospital. I must admit I was surprised, I thought you were there to see her.”

“Sir?”

“Anyway, I told Sergeant Seo I won’t have a fight with him over a girl and again, I really don’t want to start of a fight over a girl, especially if that girl is my wife.”

“Did you and Sergeant Seo...?”

“Of course not. How do you think he’s still alive until now?” Si Jin went silent before continued, “The General favored me to become his son in law for years.”

Joon Ha’s eyes widened.

Si Jin smiled. “I don’t know if you know this or not.”

“How did you survive?”

“It’s not a life or death mission. Even if I haven’t met with Dr. Kang, I would still decline. Thankfully, I met her and Lieutenant Yoon also doesn’t have feelings for me, so problem solved.”

“But, what if she has feelings for you?”

Si Jin chuckled. “My wife also asked the same question. I told her even if Lieutenant Yoon did, I would still fight for her.” He stared at Joon Ha. “If you ask how our relationship works, the answer is, it doesn’t.”

“I don’t understand, sir.”

“It doesn’t work like normal relationship, if that’s what you ask. My relationship with my wife is deeper than that. We saved each other life countless times, I saved her from landmines and bad guys, she saved me with her scalpel to keep me alive. We thanked each other for saving lifes rather than over a simple gift.” Si Jin went on, “If you want to have a relationship with that cute nurse, you need to know what kind of relationship you want to have with her.”

Joon Ha smiled. “So, do you think she’s cute too, sir?”

Si Jin rolled his eyes. “That’s beside the point.”

The Captain chuckled.

“And I think you will not have a hard time like me and Dr. Kang. We need to be separated for almost a year to have a relationship,” the Major said again. “And also, Dr. Kang probably will help you put some senses to that nurse.”

“Do you still call your wife like that, sir?”

Si Jin blew a breath dramatically. “Why is everyone asking me that question?” He pointed his fork at Joon Ha. “If I may give you advice, try to be honest with her, as much as you can, and perhaps you can joke about a landmine with your nurse,” Si Jin said while picking his spoon and start eating.

“Huh?”

“So, how did it go?” Nurse Ha asked Nurse Choi when they were at the cafeteria to have lunch. They were not alone, though. Dr. Song, Nurse Ha, Dr. Pyo, Chi Hun, and Mo Yeon were also there. All of them were looking at Nurse Choi curiously.

The younger nurse blushed. “He...he said he attracted to me, but didn’t pressured me into a relationship.”

The others were sighing animatedly.

“What happened with the soldiers in this country? They are good in defending our country and saving people, but bad when it comes to girls,” Dr. Pyo said.

“He told me we can be friends,” Nurse Choi said again.

Dr. Song made a face. “Right...tell that to her husband,” he pointed at Mo Yeon. “No friendzone for these guys. Even if you don’t like him, he will continue to pursue you.”

“Thank you, senior,” Mo Yen said sarcastically while the senior doctor made a bowing gesture.

“That’s scary,” Chi Hun said.

“Scary for you,” Mo Yeon added.

Nurse Choi pouted. “It’s not that I don’t want to have relationship with him.” She lowered her head. “I’ve seen how Dr. Kang was when we all thought Major Yoo was dead. I don’t want to get through something like that.”

All of them went silent and Mo Yeon knew she needed to talk with the young nurse, but not at this moment.

An intern suddenly approached them and said to Mo Yeon, “Dr. Kang, the Director asks you for a meeting.”

All the nurses and doctors looked at each other with surprise.

“Ah, yes...” Mo Yeon said before rose from her seat. She looked over at her colleagues. “I’ll talk to you all later.”

She quickly followed the intern to a meeting room. Mo Yeon w
