Nurse Choi finished her round and her shift, and was about to go home, when she saw Joon Ha. The young nurse stopped on her feet, her heart turned erratic. The Captain, in the other hand, only smiled when he saw the young lady. They didn’t communicate after that faithful text message and after he returned to Korea, Joon Ha decided to make everything clear between him and the nurse. He wanted to have a relationship with her, the strong one like Major Yoo shared with Dr. Kang. Joon Ha saw how the Major and his wife protected each other with their own way, and he must admitted, seeing him making out with his wife brought the man instinct on Joon Ha to have someone he could share his passion and love.

Major Yoo once said to him, he needed to figure out what kind of relationship he wanted to have with Min-ji and he found the answer.

“Captain...Lee?” Nurse Choi stuttered, her cheeks blushed.

Joon Ha smiled and aprroached her. “I’m coming here to see you. I know you’re having a night shift.”

The young nurse furrowed her eyebrows. “How did you...” She sighed.

The Captain stared at her with smile on his eyes.

“Are you stalking me?” Nurse Choi asked, a bit annoyed while still blushing.

Joon Ha chuckled. “No, it’s just a habit as Special Forces, to know everything about your opponent.”

Nurse Choi blinked. “Opponent?”

The Captain realized his mistake and cleared his throat. “I’m sorry. That was not what I meant.” He composed himself and smiled. “Do you want to have a coffee with me?”

The young nurse slowly smiled and nodded. “Let me report to my department first and changed my uniform.”

Joon Ha nodded in agreement.

They finally had their coffee together and still in awkward situation before Nurse Choi was the one who broke the tension.

“When did you return? How was your mission? How is Dr. Kang? I don’t see her today,” the nurse said.

“I arrived yesterday and I have two days off. As for mission, it was a success. I don’t know about Dr. Kang. I think she still has her day off. The long flight is quite exhausting for a pregnant woman,” Joon Ha answered.

Nurse Choi leaned closer on the table. Her expressive eyes caught Joon Ha off guard. “How did you know she is pregnant?”

The Captain only chuckled, remembering the broadcast event in Switzerland. “By accident. We heard her and Major Yoo talked about it from our communicator.”

“Heh?” The nurse’s eyes widened, but then she giggled. “That sounded familiar.”

They both went silent and then, Joon Ha said, “Min-ji, about your message...” Their eyes met. “Did you mean it?”

Nurse Choi suddenly turned nervous. She played with her fingers and nodded silently.

“I’m glad,” Joon Ha said again while smiling. He held Nurse Choi’s hand. “Thank you.”

The young nurse chuckled. “Why are you thanking me?”

The Captain smiled wistfully. “I’ve seen a lot about Major Yoo’s relationship in Switzerland. He taught me so many things. I know I’ll never be like him, but I want someone I can share my feelings and my love and I was hoping it was you, Min-ji.”

Nurse Choi blushed harder. “Does it mean...we’re boyfriend and girlfriend?”

Joon Ha laughed lightly and leaned forward, tucking a loose hair behind the nurse’s ear. “You can say that. Aren’t you happy?”

The young nurse laughed back and shyly nodded.

Mo Yeon was sleeping when she heard her doorbell ringing. Groaning, she tried to get up from her bed when the sounds didn’t stop. Still tired from the journey back home and the effect of her pregnancy, slowly she walked into her front door and opened it, only surprised to see her mother behind it.

Mo Yeon blinked. “Mom?”

Mrs. Kang rolled her eyes. “At least, you greet me this time and you’re not drunk.” She walked inside, leaving her daughter with bewilderment expression.

“What are you doing here, Mom?” Mo Yeon asked while closing the door.

“Is this the way to welcome your mother? You’re changed after you get married.” Mrs. Kang walked into the dining room and pulled out some vegetables, some drinks, and food from her shopping bag. She pointed to one of Si Jin’s pictures. “Your husband looks so handsome in that picture.”

“Gosh...” Mo Yeon her hair and blew a breath. “I don’t know If I should feel happy or worry my own mother ogles my husband.”

Mrs. Kang chuckled and pointed to the chair in front of her. “Come on, sit! You need to eat.”

Mo Yeon groaned, but sat nonetheless. “I’m not 6 years old girl anymore, Mom.”

“You may look like a married woman, but inside, you’re worst than a 6 years old girl.” She smiled. “How are you doing? And Si Jin? When will he come home?”

“He still has three more months on his deployment.”

“Ah, I see.” Mrs. Kang nodded. “So, I made the right decision to come here. You need company.”

The doctor raised her eyebrows. “I’m not that lonely, Mom. Besides, I’m going to work the day after tomorrow.”

Mo Yeon’s mother shrugged. “Make sure you don’t get lonely. Have a lot of kids. That means you won’t be alone when you’re old.”

The doctor hid her face between her arms on the table. “My goodness...”

Mrs. Kang only smirked and gave Mo Yeon a bottle of cold drink. “Here’s for you.”

Mo Yeon’s head shot up and stared at the bottle in front of her, realizing three things. One, she was pregnant, two, she hasn’t told her mother yet about her pregnancy, and three, why her mother gives her a drink?

Just like Si Jin always say, this is very odd timing.

And odd, it is.

“What?” Mrs. Kang asked when she saw her daughter’s expression.

“What kind of mother who gives her daughter a bottle of drink?” Mo Yeon asked while squinting her eyes.

“You said you’re not a 6 years old girl anymore. I think you are past the age to not drink alcohol.”

The doctor suddenly turned nervous. “I’m...I’m not really..into drink right now.”

“Why?”

And Mo Yeon didn’t know how to answer it without revealing about her pregnancy.

“Because I don’t want to?”

Mrs. Kang tilted her head and looked at her daughter closely. Mo Yeon looked like she just woke up, but something was amiss with her. Her motherhood instinct kicked in.

“Is there something wrong with you that I don’t know of?”

Mo Yeon suddenly turned defensive. “No.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“I’m telling you the truth, Mom.”

“Is it about the incident in WHO meeting? Are you having a trauma?”

“What? Of course not!”

“Then, why? Don’t lie, Mo Yeon.”

The doctor only blew a breath. She was planning to tell her mother when her jetlag was gone, but apparently she couldn’t do that.

“It’s just...” Mo Yeon took a deep breath. “I...can’t drink for the next 8 months.” Her eyes met with her mother and then, as she expected, her mother’s widened and she squealed.

Mrs. Kang suddenly hugged Mo Yeon. “Oh, I’m going to be a grandmother. Ah, I can’t believe this.” She released her embrance and looked at her daughter. “Did Si Jin know?”

Mo Yeon rolled her eyes. “Of course, Mom. He’s the father. I told him when we were in Switzerland.”

“Oh, he was there with you?”

The doctor smiled wistfully. “Yes.”

Mrs. Kang made a face. “That was good.” And then, she looked over the vegetables on the dining table. “Let’s see if we
