Woo Bin’s POV

I woke up to the pungent smell of hospital disinfect, invading my nostrils. The room was silent apart from my heavy breathing and the beep beep sound from the heartbeat machine that indicates I am still alive.

I slowly opened my eyes, squinting in attempt to sharpen the blurred images before me. I glanced around and took in the deserted, blue and white colour schemed hospital bedroom. How long have I been here? I shut my eyes, trying to remember what had exactly happened. Then it all hits me with a bang. The memory of it all starts to occupy my thoughts.

Two days ago

I walk to the place where Min Ah and I used to hang out – the rooftop of the old administrative building. I miss Min Ah so much. Today is summer break, no one come to school except me. I come to school when I miss Min Ah. I want to meet her again. I just want to meet her again. I don’t know why I cried again and again when I think of her. I cried almost everyday because I think of her every single day. Since Min Ah move out to Jeju, never once she calls me or I call her.

This is maybe the best between me and her. We are living in a different path. She should have a normal life there. She doesn’t need me.

“Hahahaha, finally you admit yourself that she doesn’t need you.” I can hear the voice inside my head laughing at me. I admit I was lost in this battle between me and myself. The evil sound of my head was right; Min Ah can live happily without me. But, I can’t live without her.
